You tease, I saw the subject line and thought you’d gotten the collection an extra day early! 😛 I’m going to a party tomorrow (my first launch party, YAY!) and was hoping to be armed. Are you going to one?

Oh well, I’m bringing a couple of friends who are not MAC addicts like I am, so they should help keep me from going crazy. Under $50 to spend, for sure.

Yeah, I’m defintitely not standing in line. lol. They absolutely don’t let ppl in early and the MAC store I’m going to is not in a mal(outside on the cold east coast) l so none of that for me. 🙂

I was actually wondering the same thing myself! I received an email today saying it was my last chance to RSVP for the preview party, and I’m not sure what triggered the invite. I was chomping at the bit to see the color forecast unveiling, but of course I did not get an invite to that. Anyway, I’m super excited to go! I am not sure what to expect, but I hope it will be fun.

Do these unveiling parties happen only at the actual Mac stores or do they also have them at Mac counters like at Macys?

I heard that this collection is only being launched in freestanding MAC stores and not counters like macys, dillards or Nordstroms….is that true? 🙁

It’s basically a party with waiters with little appetizers and some booze (and some non-booze) that come along while you and a whole store-full-of-people can test out, swatch, and play around with the latest collection. You get a little postcard sheet where it lists the products available in the collection and you mark how many of each you want, hand it over to an artist, they gather it all up for you, then you can purchase and go home. The collection is available early for people to preview AND to buy for that night only.
