Probably my iHerb order! Ordered some Aveeno and Andalou Naturals goodies.
Haul: A supersize tube of IT Cosmetics CC cream (and another dual ended brush) – ordered from TSC and I’m surprised it came so quickly as they say “a week to 10 days” and it arrived in 5! Also, as it was the last one in store, I picked up Bare Minerals The Magic Touch eyeshadow duo. I think these are being phased out at Sephora, which is the only place in Canada to buy BM. I think it’s a shame but perhaps they’re not big sellers as there isn’t a lot of advertising about them and they’re just not well known here.
Weekend plans: a friend is coming to stay; we’re going shopping for patterns and fabric and then out to dinner (hubs is coming too) and then we’re going to start watching Borgen (I’ve seen most of it; she’s never even heard of it)
What motivates you: I realize I’m actually more competitive than I think I am so having a fitbit and having a few friends with them, that will usually push me to take a few more hundred (or thousand) steps. Also, generally, just the work ethic I was raised with and desire to do a good job are motivators, along with wanting to keep my good health as I age

General update: So yeah, I’m type 1 diabetic. Was just barely making enough of my own insulin to not crash and still function, but not enough to be healthy.

My Ulta buy list is a mile long LOL It’s 26% off ( 6% from rebates + 20% Platinum coupon, so good for prestige brands). I’m eyeing more UD Moondust shadows, Maybelline lippies, IT brushes, Algenist, shampoos, conditioners, etc etc. When it comes in about 2 weeks (ULTA has the slowest shipping in the world!), I’m going to have a massive haul to report back on 🙂

No, I’m going to Puerto Rico in a few weeks and needed a lip balm with a high spf that wouldn’t melf in the heat so i decided in that one, hopefully its good!

My most favorite thing has to be the Guerlain Terra Ora Sculpting Powder/Contrast Highlighter. I’ve wanted it for a VERY long time and it always looked so beautiful in pictures, but to have it in person is a whole other story. It’s absolutely stunning; in the packaging and on the skin! I wasn’t fully prepared for all that awesomeness. Lol

I got some good news on the chronic pain health front, so I celebrated by getting two more Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crémes, in Je T’aime (a “rum raspberry”), and Goddess (a “deep maraschino”). When I reach for them, they’ll be reminders that good things can happen, dead ends aren’t the only thing in the world, and that decent people (and doctors) exist. Not to mention they’re gorgeous!

Haul: My first Rouge G in 06! It’s chilling in the fridge as we speak, because it is so hot here. I also purchased Red Velvet from Besame – Agent Carter’s lipstick and I love her. I got a Becca poured highlighter in Pearl to try, as well as the Sephora contour blush you reviewed yesterday – I should have waited on your review! I also bought two Lipstick Queen lipsticks in Honey and Frog Prince. I purchased the Rainbow pearls and two Jo Malone perfumes from Nordstrom in Atlanta, GA last week. My Colourpop order arrived as well, with the tie-dye shadows and highlighter, as well as Sour and Coconut. It doesn’t look like much on my vanity top, but it’s a lot written out!
Weekend Plans: Take care of my mother, who has shingles on her left thigh and knee. Have Mexican on Sunday, watch the Cubs, begin planning for the new school year – it’s almost that time again!
What motivates me?: I want to do well. I can be competitive, but I try to keep a lid on that! I want to succeed and try to keep going toward a goal. I recently finished grad school (in June!) while I was teaching full-time. I was running low on motivation then, believe me!

Haul: just skincare products that I needed: moisturizer (Peter Thomas Roth Hydra-Gel in their Neuroliquid line), facial sunscreen since the moisturizer doesn’t have an SPF (Neutrogena liquid), micellar water. Non-beauty purchases include a dress on Modcloth that I ordered Monday and that still hasn’t shipped yet. It’s for a wedding in 10 days and I’m getting anxious :/
Weekend plans: we have a going away party and a house warming party to attend!
Motivation: the opportunity to be/do my best.

Haul: I got a black extra-large Z Palette for my Makeup Geek eyeshadows, I’m almost out of room in my large size. I also got the new MAC Cremesheen lipstick in Pretty Boy*, and a Diptyque candle for my mom’s birthday. I ordered a handful of other items but they haven’t arrived so I’ll just mention them next week.
Weekend plans: I spent time with my dad today after work, which was nice since I don’t get to see him that often. I have work on Saturday, and on Sunday my mom and I are celebrating her birthday.
What motivates me: I know it’s kind of childish to say but if someone tells me that they think I can’t do something, I’m 100% more likely to try to do it. If it’s something I’m interested in that helps a lot too 😉

Haul: MUG Foiled eyeshadow in Charm just arrived a few minutes ago; Physician’s Formula Cat Eye Mascara (won it in one of their giveaways); MAC Lipstick in Matte Royal; Jordana Dramatic Effects Mascara in every crazy color, and I’m loving them; Jordana Cat Eye Liner in Orchid, Suede, and Envy. Hard Candy Glamoflage concealer (thought I try it), Walk the Line Liquid Eye Liner in Magenta Madness, and Some of the Take Me Out pencil liners in the bright colors (mixed bag as far as quality).
Weekend plans: Since the kids got sick last weekend AND the video game controller got broken, their friend will be coming over this weekend to play Mario Kart, etc. and eat me out of house and home. I think hubby is catching what the kids had, so I’ll probably end up taking care of him.
What motivates you?: My kids, since I’ve had them. Wanting to improve my lot in life. Wanting to be a good person and parent, and not wanting to be like the rest of my family. (Seriously screwed up.)

What motivates you? I’m a little (read: a lot) competitive by nature, so I try to turn that inward into pushing myself to doing better. Mostly, I just burn out and get unmotivated, sitting around reading a book, haha.

What motivates you: Causes, underdogs, defending those who are vulnerable or trying to help those suffering abuse. It’s just that I thoroughly despise injustice, unfairness and cruelty. But I know that in the end, I can only do so much and that I am therefore limited, so I leave the ultimate righting of wrongs to a much Higher Power.

The MUG came from the sale. There was a link/sign in issue + they were kind to correct it to reflect the discount. 17 E/S, 3 blush + 3 Zs. Secret Admirer is the emperor’s new blush…hope it shows up in the winter! Guess i can knock MUG lighter shades off my list. Th e/s fell into nudes, blue/greens, purples, + cosmo/goddess for outliers. The only surprise was Pop Culture-does not look anything like the on-line pic or swatches. Most liked: Summer Fling + Shark Bait. Barcelona Beach is a great crease color for neutral medium. Very satisfied. Now, more Zs from the Ulta 20% coupon sale.
Plans: same old…night job. Times they are a changin’ there. Could improve.
Motivation: So many dogs and books, so little time. Always motivated by knowledge..like what weeds grow around here, what rocks are on the beach, what happened to Christoph von Do (oh forget it i can’t spell it)’s family, but his father and his in-law (theologian Dietrich Bonhoffer) were murdered by the Nazis, brain development, on + on ad nauseam. Serving the adult DD population. IDK how anyone can ever be bored, there’s so much to find out. I’m very info driven…have an iPad + no cell phone. The data charges would break me + I have little interest in incessant calling. I guess I’m motivated by curiosity.

What motivates you?: Well, depends on what I need motivation for! If it’s school, works, etc, I just think it’s going to be worth it and make me happy in the end. Also I have my lovely family and boyfriend that are always here to motivate me <3

What motivates you: …I don’t actually know. I have depression so I have very little intrinsic motivation (some days it happens, most days it doesn’t) and can’t pinpoint anything that really consistently gets me going. Praise on a job well done, I guess, but I have to be doing the job in the first place!
