Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusives 2015
As promised, here’s a compilation of this year’s Nordstrom Beauty Exclusives! I’ve focused on color cosmetics, nails, and tools, but there are also fragrance and skincare exclusives/value sets as well. Anyone can shop the sale as of the 17th, but now through the 16th, early access is limited to cardholders.
Anything catch your eye? I felt like this year’s sale was actually a bit lackluster in the beauty department; there were the usual suspects like jumbo sizes for cult favorites (always good to stock up on), but it seemed like actual sets/kits are dwindling (look how minimal the MAC exclusives are). I noted a lot of repromotes/permanent shades in some of the sets (e.g. MAC/NARS), too.

I’m not sure if they participate in anything, but you might find the info on their site or you could try calling your local store!
I don’t think so. I called the one near me asking about Mac and the lorac palettes and was told they don’t carry either in the store. So I’m guessing they don’t have anything else?? But I’m not sure. My first time buying from nordstorm lol.
Ugh, no fair! But you should still go check out your local Nordstorm Rack when you get a chance, the two times I’ve been they had Urban Decay, Smashbox, Stila, etc. for a fraction of the price. It’s like last season stuff but I really don’t care. Thanks for letting me know ladies!
I agree with you. The sale is lackluster in all the other departments as well. I’m not sure I’m going to pick up anything at all this year, which is uncharacteristic of me!
Same! I grabbed a few things, but probably 50% less than I normally do initially. Not enough shoes!

I was very good (and boring) and just bought hand cream. Zzzzzzz. 🙂 The Supergoop with SPF (live in FL, drive a lot) and the Gerwhol for night time – I started using my Differin gel on my hands too to keep them young! Now I need a heavier moisturizer for hands.
Oh, goodness. Those Guerlain Perles. The ones from last year’s holiday collection are a permanent staple in my routine so I might be digging out the Nordstrom Notes for that.
I lost my mind a little bit when I first saw this list. I wouldn’t know what to choose without review. The YSL glossy stains and Triss McEvoy brushes caught my eye. Any suggestions?
I like YSL’s Glossy Stains, but I’ve never tried Trish McEvoy’s brushes before!
I love the glossy stain and got this set. If you purchased the set from last year, you will get #7 again. However, it’s such a versatile shade that I don’t mind getting a second one.
I usually don’t like the quality of Trish McEvoy brushes and I never like the quality of brushes that are put out specifically for the Anniversary sale.
OMG I spent almost $350! Haha I should go on a low buy for a long while…
I agree with you, Christine. I was WAY more excited about last year’s beauty offerings and had to resist the urge to spend a LOT of money. This year, I’m kinda like *shrug*. I do hope that Dior Rosy Eye Reviver palette ends up being released elsewhere, however. I really like the first one.
My guess is the Dior stuff will come out, but I’m not 100% sure. I think in the past, Dior has basically launched fall early with Nordstrom’s sale, but I am sure they had a few exclusives as well.

I thought I had seen Tom Ford lipsticks on the website as well? Do you know if they are offering the 3 lipstick presentation?
I think there is a trio, but it is the same as a set earlier on in the year when Lips & Boys first came out – and there was no deal, so I wasn’t even sure it was really part of the sale!
I want the meteorites
I was eyeing the Tom Ford lipsticks than it occurred to me that I could buy just the colors I wanted for the same price rather than a kit which you know would have one off shade. I used to buy the large size of Donna Karan Cashmere Mist body wash every year, but now they only offer the lotion. And, I think I own just about every shade included in the Bobbi Brown kit from previous kits! I bought nothing from the beauty offerings this year.
The TF trios were a real bummer when I saw them on retailers when Lips & Boys made its reappearance earlier this year – seemed silly not to be able to pick your own. I think Neiman Marcus let you get the free box with any three.
Wow – what a sale – we don’t have anything like this in Melbourne. Our two major retailers Myer and David Jones would NEVER reduce the prices of these makeup items. All we get is the very cheap stuff 5 or 10% off…. And we pay through the nose for it too. OMG, you are so lucky.
When my girlfriend was visiting New York a few years ago and wandered into Nordstrom – she told her husband that she needed a day to explore the place….. Now I know why.
I did get the beautyblender set, and I’m hoping to purchase the meteorites soon. I swatched the Chantecaille duo in-store and the two colors were so beautiful together but I can’t find many reviews on the formula 🙁
I was super stoked to check out the sale, but was also disappointed.
But then I noticed the Chanel kit…so giddy over it. Am I the only one?
Hey Ruth, I know this is a late response. I was pretty interested in the Chanel palette. I’m still wainering. I don’t own much Chanel. Just mascara and a few lipstcks. I just wanted to make sure you know the shadows are the older version. I called the counter near me. The SA told me they “absolutely need a primer”. I have never used any of Chanel’s shadows so it put me back in a standstill on it. Did you get it? Just wondering your thoughts n the shadow formula?
There are two Nars lip trios. I ended up picking up the brightly colored trio. Comes w sharpener and a fun case!

I like the look of the Burberry set but I already have most of what is in it so I passed.
I was/am disappointed in the shoe department as well, the choices and prices just aren’t as good as they have been.Oh well 🙁
I stocked up on candles and Whish deodorant wipes to get the freebie makeup bags for my stockings I put together for my daughter, son’s gf and mom 😀
