IT Cosmetics CC Cream has been working well so far! I normally wear Guerlain Parure Gold (or whatever I normally would wear) and use a setting spray if it’s really hot!

I’m using the IT CC Cream SPF 50 (original one) as well! It’s medium coverage, and I mix with some Becca liquid highlighters. I originally felt the IT CC cream was too moisturizing for summer, but after I changed my sunscreen to Paula’s Choice Hydralight Shine-Free Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30, it works great. And to make it last longer, I use it over Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer SPF 15
Estée Lauder Double Wear 🙂
When it’s warmer outside, I love Dr. Jart Water Fuse BB (the one in the light blue tube) or Dr. Jart Premium BB (gold tube).
They both have their merits, but are two different shades & different finishes. The Water Fuse is a lighter-shade, & it seriously amazes me with how light it feels on my skin. The Premium is slightly darker & leaves my skin with a dewy-look (the Water Fuse obviously isn’t matte, but it doesn’t have as much of a sheen as the Premium). I’ve been using them for a few years now, & I’d have to say that the Water Fuse gives more coverage than the Premium (I have no idea why it’s called “Premium”—I might have @ one point, but I don’t anymore lol).
Anyway, I definitely recommend them to anyone with a lighter skin tone who doesn’t need a lot of coverage 🙂
Jane Iredale pressed minerals applied liberally over Lancome SPF 50 sunscreen, touch up as needed
i tend to use bb creams, i reach for maybelline dream fresh and the dior hydra life bb cream.
A few weeks back, my daughter and I were in JCP Sephora because she wanted to get Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation in her summer shade. She went about finding her color, and I got curious. So I asked for a sample in Medium Honey and got quite a decent amount. Used it all 3 days of my convention that weekend and I’m very impressed! It held up from 6 am- 8pm each day and it was over 100° every day! Now I mix some with my Lumene BB Cream for better coverage. So far, so good! But I also have been interested in trying It CC Cream because I keep hearing great things about it. And my tube of Lumene is running out.
Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation. I apply it with a damp Beauty Blender and then set with powder
I really want to try that one! What’s your skin type? I’m oily, I’m hoping the KVD one would work for me.
Lately it’s been the Rimmel BB Cream (Radiant formula). It has really nice coverage and luminous finish without feeling too heavy. It was my holy grail foundation when I was in Disney. If I need to look really nice, I’ll go to my Urban Decay liquid foundation.
Nothing at all! Just imagine me as Ned Flanders skiing. And then never get that image out of your head.
But seriously, I have hyperhidrosis (i.e. I sweat more than normal, even when it’s not hot) so it’s more comfortable for me to go without. Freckles and broken capillaries be damned!
Any one of these (depending on heat, humidity, how oily my skin is that day, and how much coverage I need): Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer (Fair to Light), e.l.f. Studio BB Cream SPF 20 (Fair), BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream (Opal 01), or BareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 (Fair).
Maybe this isn’t a popular opinion, but those water-like foundations are the best on my very oily skin.
My top 3 are Giorgio Armani Maestro, Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide, and YSL Fusion Ink. Those are lightweight with better staying power than tinted moisturizer. I want my foundation to wears like iron on hot and humid weather, but I certainly don’t want to feel the foundation itself on my face! 😉
No foundation at all 😉
My favorite is MUFE Face&Body. It has a gorgeous finish and is really waterproof, sweatproof and long-lasting, at least on me.
Shiseido Sheer & Perfect Foundation
Fortunately, it rarely gets over 80° here. However, on those rare occasions it does, I use MUFE Face & Body foundation. Since we don’t have air-conditioning, I struggle getting any other foundation on when the temperatures rise.
I have a combination skin and used a face primers evertime.currently,Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation is my go-to so far, they’re not too thick and last long for me.although I used MAC Face and Body Foundation too, depend on my skin that day
Lancome Nude Miracle Foundation Or NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser
My preference has always been to wear a matte foundation all year long but since discovering the It Cosmetics CC cream last summer I now wear that one on most days.
Diorskin Nude Air Serum, IT Cosmetics CC Cream, and Tarte BB Cream all feel incredibly light in the summer and hold up well in the muggy DC weather.
It’s IT CC cream for me as well, largely because of the high level of SPF in it which means I can wear just ONE product on my face when it’s hot and humid and steamy, rather than having to layer on several products. If not IT, then it’s mineral powder foundation (Laura Mercier, IT or PUR Minerals) with a very matte SPF (La Roche Posay or Kiehl’s) underneath it.
Lancome Teint Idole…Keeps me matte.
Guerlain Terracotta Skin Healthy Glow Foundation is my go-to summer foundation. It’s more likes tint, doesn’t look like foundation at all. I use shade 02 Brunettes even though I have light medium skin. It looks dark coming out of the tube, but disappears into the skin, leaving behind a sun kissed look. I love it.
I use a variety of items to tame my oily skin. A mattifying SPF 50+ sunscreen after an oil-free gel moisturiser. Then a mattifying primer followed by either the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless foundation or a powder foundation such as MAC Studio Fix or Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless foundation. Lastly I use a finishing spray, Urban Decay De -Slick. It takes all that to keep my skin oil-free all day! 😀
I have oily skin so I tend to reach for matte formulas. I usually use Bare Minerals Matte Foundation, especially if I’m dealing with humidity. I also like Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24hr foundation.
Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting
NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation! The name is clunky but extremely accurate. This stuff feels weightless but covers all my hyperpigmentation… I don’t even use concealer. And it sticks to my oily skin! I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but it’s SUPER pigmented. I had to look up a diy recipe for stained brushes in order to get my brush clean! I never had that happen before, but so worth it!
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint! This stuff is great as I have a very oily t-zone, keeps me looking shine free and lasts all day 🙂
None!
I’ve been using the new BM and my old trusty NARS TM.
I prefer a BB cream when it’s hot out. Right now I’m using Missha.
The same one I use year round, Pur Minerals 4-in-1 pressed powder foundation.
I’m so oily that I have to use a powder foundation. Lately it’s MUFE or Lancome (which is more natural on). I wish I could find a liquid/cream that stayed in place. I may try EL Double Wear or Nars soon.
1st most important thing is the Cover FX primer, this is def a lock and hold it all day in the Georgia summer heat product. But the foundation for those 100 degree days is NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation! Amazing, I love how you can sheer it out and it is still so pigmented you have full face coverage.
I already don’t wear foundation all the time and I wear it even less in summer, so I don’t really change my routine other than needing to powder my face even more in summer.
I wear UD Naked Skin liquid foundation and usually set under my eyes with either Ben Nye HD pro(?) colorless powder or Shiro Cosmetics Fatality Finishing Powder and then I set my entire face with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural.
I have been using the new MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation. It really is waterproof! I also just received the Dr. Jart+ BB set from Sephora. I will try that tomorrow and see how it does.
I just use my normal foundation – Rimmel Match Perfection in light porcelain. I also apply a light setting powder on top to deflect the shine. If it is really hot I have a cool shower and re-apply.
First preference is no makeup. If it’s a work day (nothing fancy) then I like the Dior BB cream or the Kiehl’s BB cream (both shade selections are exceptionally terrible though), and I’ve been reaching for Chanel Vitalumière Aqua lots lately too. For an all day event, I go for something like NARS All Day Luminous, or Marc Jacobs Genius Gel foundation, along with a setting spray.
Becca Ever-Matte foundation is my favorite. Great foundation for oily skin.
If it’s really hot than none because I’d just sweat it off and that’s gross. If I can handle it, usually Dr. Jart’s Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45+. If I need a fuller coverage and it’s getting towards the evening so it’s cooling down a bit or I’m going to be inside, than the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation.
MUFE Face & Body if I want liquid, or Sephora Microsmooth Powder Foundation if I want powder
None.
I love the Smashbox CC Cream. It has amazing coverage but does not feel heavy on the skin. I want to try the It Cosmetics one to see how it compares.
I’m so torn on the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. It looks so beautiful at the beginning of the day, but it settles a little funny on me. I get super oily on my t-zone in the summer (humidity is 90% all of the time where I live), and that is where it separates a little. I haven’t decided either way yet. Any tips and tricks to get it to last a little better?
None, I just use compact powder because I don’t like foundation on my face when it is hot and muggy.
Tarte Amazonion clay foundation, I’ve never had a problem with hot weather or stage lighting. 😉
Also mineral foundations in general probably because they are water resistant.
1st I ALWAYS begin with RADICAL Skin Perfecting SPF 30, and then my lightweight, long wearing, never a problem base is hands down CdP Cream Foundation with SPF!! I have no clue it’s on and it is just flawless. I always set with NARS loose crystal translucent powder! 🙂 I’m quite happy with it! It truly is the most easy step of my makeup. A little goes such a long way and with my skin changing as the weather does, this is still acting the same on me! That says a lot! 🙂
L’occitane bb cream or what i have left from last year’s Khiel’s bb cream. This one has spf 50 but I prefer l’occitane’s finish in my skin, but is only 30 spf.
I sweat easily so that along with my oily t-zone I tend to get shiny easily in the hot weather. Which is why I prefer to wear no foundation at all, especially during the daytime hours. If I do I tend to do a powder foundation, I switch between IT Celebration Illumination and MAC Studio Fix.
As a primer the Rimmel Stay Matte works best plus I use mattifying moisturizer and sunscreen form Sephora collection that work well.
