Maybelline Baby Lips Lipgloss
These are the last four Maybelline Baby Lips Lipglosses ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.), and all four have a jelly finish. The gloss is a new formula that’s supposed to be shiny, non-sticky, and hydrating for four hours with twelve shades divided into three finishes. These all looked similar applied, so from a color standpoint, it’s unnecessary to have them all. The jelly finished shades have a slightly thicker texture to them, though they feel very similar once you apply to the lips. The formula feels lightweight, mostly non-sticky (a very slight tackiness develops after two to three hours of wear), wears for one to three hours, and is comfortable and hydrating. There is a sweet, fruity-floral scent that tastes like perfume-y soap during the entire length of wear; I could taste it just talking to someone, and it ruined anything I ate or drank. They were comfortable to wear, though, and they don’t feel heavy and keep and maintain hydration going for an hour or two after most of the gloss has worn away. The formula is sheer (as it is supposed to be) with a lot of shades looking the same once applied, but they may vary wildly from person to person due to much of it being dependent on your natural lip color.
Maybelline Coral Craze Baby Lips Lipgloss ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a subtly, orange-tinted gloss. It darkens and adds warmth to my natural lip color. It lasted for an hour on me, so I ended up wearing it a few times to ensure it was hydrating at least. Maybelline Berry Chic (P, $4.49) is brighter, less glossy. MAC Loose & Lively (LE, $22.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Maybelline Pink Pizazz Baby Lips Lipgloss ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a barely-there, pink-tinged gloss. This one darkened my natural lip color without altering it with any warmth/coolness, so it appears less reddish compared to Coral Craze. It was gone after an hour, though it was hydrating if you kept reapplying it. (By the by, that is how Maybelline spelled it.) Maybelline Tickled Pink (P, $4.49) is lighter. Maybelline Pink-a-boo (P, $4.49) is lighter. Chanel Rose Reve (189) (LE, $29.50) is lighter. Chanel Rose Reve (189) (LE, $29.50) is lighter. MAC Boundless Energy (LE, $22.00) is warmer. Maybelline Fab & Fuchsia (P, $4.49) is warmer. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Maybelline Fab & Fuchsia Baby Lips Lipgloss ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium pink-tinted base with a glossy finish. It was another short-wearing shade at a whole hour for wear, but at least it was still hydrating–I just have balm that lasts longer and is more hydrating, so that’s why it’s disappointing. Sephora Collection Raspberry Punch (21) (P, $14.00) is darker, cooler. Bite Beauty Three (Watercolor) (LE, ) is lighter. NARS Glow Pink (LE, $26.00) is cooler. Urban Decay Lovechild (P, $20.00) is lighter, brighter. MAC Pure Magnificence (LE, $20.00) is lighter, warmer. Maybelline Pink Pizazz (P, $4.49) is warmer. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Maybelline Berry Chic Baby Lips Lipgloss ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a muted, orange-tinted gloss (not sure what’s berry about it!). This gloss wore for one and a half hours, and it was hydrating while worn. NYX Cherry Cheesecake (P, $5.00) is lighter, brighter, more pigmented. NARS Wonder (P, $26.00) is darker, brighter, more pigmented. Bite Beauty Eight (Watercolor) (LE, ) is more pigmented. Maybelline Citrus Evolution (115) (LE, $8.99) is lighter, brighter, more pigmented. MAC Grand Pumpkin (LE, $15.00) is lighter, brighter, more pigmented. Maybelline Coral Craze (P, $4.49) is brighter, less glossy. See comparison swatchescompare dupes side-by-side.

zzzzzzz…..boo to Maybelline for 12 “shades” of clear glosses that taste like perfume/soap, wish they were as good as their lippies
If only 🙁
Sheer glosses have their uses, but these all look exactly the same! They could have just released one!
Yep! They didn’t need twelve.
The cherry one was deemed most similar to the lippies but I don’t think you reviewed it. 🙁 Baby lips, the clear original in blue tube, was once my balm staple. It was all that worked and I went through them like water.. I don’t understand my lips. 🙁
I reviewed all of the twelve shades from the launch!
Meh, they all look the saaaaame… Maybelline really could have done something more with these imo… Or else they should have just launched three or four really cute shades instead of so many similar ones.
I agree — less would be more here.
Wish these were more pigmented!! I can barely distinguish between them on your lips. Kind of a buzzkill, since Maybelline products in general have been awesome lately.
I agree! They were on a roll. I think they could still do sheer but at least differentiate more!
These are PATHETIC lip glosses. They basically all look the same with the exception of the 2 really beautiful sparkley ones. The only one that has my interest even a wee bit is that Lumi one, forgot if it’s violet or lilac? However, the soap taste grosses me out BIG TIME.
They really didn’t need 12 for sure!
Unless this was really meant to be starter makeup, I wonder why they bothered coming out with so many shades that all the basically the same on the lips? I know Maybelline has plenty of money for consumer testing, so I’m wondering what kind of feedback did they get. Every reviewer says the same thing that there’s little to no color difference among them.
Right? They could have just done four to six!
More from the 50 Shades of Clear collection, I see.
Haha!
I cannot see the difference? :/
That is one of the issues with the formula!
Still not impressed.
I understand!
Maybelline does a lot of unnecessary stuff…They should’ve stopped at one!!
I wish they release here in India soon too…They look pretty and one we can surely buy 🙂
Haha! They definitely didn’t need to launch all of these!
