Kevyn Aucoin Desert Days The Matte Bronzing Veil Review, Photo, Swatches
Kevyn Aucoin Desert Nights The Matte Bronzing Veil
Kevyn Aucoin Desert Nights The Matte Bronzing Veil ($48.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a medium-dark tan brown with warm, yellow undertones and a matte finish. MAC Tan Tint (LE, $29.50) is darker. MAC Matte Bronze (P, $25.00) is lighter. Burberry Copper Glow (P, $48.00) is warmer. MAC Hibiscus Kiss Bronzer (LE, $25.00) is warmer. MAC Matte Bronze (LE, $70.00) is lighter. MAC Scone (LE, $25.00) is cooler. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
This is a new, permanent formula that comes in two shades (I reviewed the other shade here), and this is the darker of the two. It is also the rosier of the two, though they both lean warm and slightly more orange-based. It’s supposed to be an “ultra silky” powder bronzer that can be used to add warmth to the skin. The texture is lightweight, silky and soft to the touch with a really smooth feel, though it can be a smidgen on the powdery side in the pan, but luckily, it didn’t look powdery on the skin at all. It was blendable and easily applied at full intensity or with a lighter hand or blended out for a sheerer look. On me, the color stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading.

It looks lovely on you! I’m totally getting a summer holiday vibe here 🙂
Thank you, Melissa!
This color is gorgeous on you, Christine! 😀
Thanks, Lotus!
I like this one a lot better than the previous one.
Yay! 🙂
This one is definitely better than the lighter shade, but I’m still not a fan. I usually love everything on you Christine, but not these 2 bronzers. Sorry 🙁
That being said, I can’t imagine that they would look good on anyone.
I bet it will work for some!
