Bronze Eyes: Colour 4 Eyeshadow Quad, Take 2!
Bronze Eyes: Colour 4 Eyeshadow Quad, Take 2!
Happy Monday! Depending whether you’re on holiday or not, I suppose 🙂 I actually did this look on Saturday, but with all of the Riveting reviews, I decided to hold off on posting it until later on.
You will need the following…
- Eyes: MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot (neutral beige base), MAC Stacked 2! Pigments (gold), MAC Manila Paper Eyeshadow (white-gold), MAC Aztec Brick Eyeshadow (copper), MAC Creole Beauty Eyeshadow (bronze), MAC Star Violet Eyeshadow (reddened purple), MAC Flip Eyeshadow (peachy-orange), MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow (highlighter), MAC Penultimate Liner (black), Urban Decay Honey 24/7 Liner (gold), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)
- Face: Kiehl’s Tinted Moisturizer (#2)
- Cheeks: MAC Springshine Blush Ombre (bronze)
- Lips: MAC Colour Me Coral Lipstick (frosty light coral), MAC Purple Rage Lipglass (reddened purple)
- Brushes: 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: N/A
For eyes, start by applying Soft Ochre paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. With the 239 and water-based mixing medium (or water), apply Stacked 2! pigment (the gold) all over the lid area. Using the 239, apply Manila Paper eyeshadow on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Aztec Brick eyeshadow on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with Creole Beauty eyeshadow, with the 239, on the outer corner and lid. Add depth to the crease by lightly tapping Star Violet eyeshadow with the 226. Lightly tap and brush Flip eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Ricepaper eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Honey eyeliner on the lower lash line, Penultimate on the upper lash line, and sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.
For cheeks, apply Springshine blush ombre to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.
For lips, apply Colour Me Coral lipstick first, and then layer Purple Rage lipglass for a complementing lip.
Absolutely gorgeous, Christine! You nail it everytime! 🙂
Thank you, Pinch!
The lips are ssssstunning! Wow!
Thank ya, Roxanne!
Another fabulous look, Christine! We’re still waiting for the collection, to be launched next month, in the UK but I can’t wait to try out some of the looks you’ve done. 🙂
Thanks, Sarah 😉 Ohh, it should be launching soon… it’s just around the corner, yeah?
Gorgeous lip combo for this look! Really compliments your skin tone =]
Thanks so much, Charlotte!
Pretty! (: I was just wondering.. I’ve noticed sometimes people put eyeshadows on their lower lashline to match their eyeshadow on top while other times they don’t. Does eyeshadow on the lower lashline make a difference? thanks Christine!
Thanks, Tiffany!
It can – it depends on what you like, your eyes, and the way the colors work together. You can always try it and remove it if you don’t like it!
The eyes are pretty, but I absolutely LOVE the lip combo!
Thanks, Anita 🙂
Uh oh, I think you just sold me on Purple Rage lipglass. I haven’t even given that color a second thought until now.
Haha! Used lightly, it can be super pretty!
I like the bright colored lipstick & for some reason the eye shadow colors remind me of a sunset (I think cause of the gold in it) – pretty 🙂
Thanks a lot, Nicci 🙂
Okay, I finally have to ask this question. HOW do you use the 24/7 liners on your lower lash line without getting little eyeliner blobs stuck on your lashes?? I have tried it with several shades and I end up irritating the heck out of my eyes trying to de-clump the lower lashes.
Hey Beck,
I never thought I did anything special, but a reader said that I line over my lashes, not under and that the mascara ends up smoothing everything out so it looks just fine!
This is so gorgeous on you! I think you’ve sold me on this lip color combo. btw, you should be a lip model LOL. you’ve got such great lips for swatches. thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks so much, Resha! LOL! I wish… then they could Photoshop the crap outta those lips!! I drool over those lip models and the SUPER crisp lines.
I’d never think to layer a purple gloss over a coral lipstick – but the colour is absolutely AMAZING! I love it :]
Thank you, Annie! 🙂
the lips are fantastic! color and lips 🙂
Thanks, Lunamaris!
I love this liner! It looks really good on you.
Me too! Thanks, Lili!

Thanks so much, Jess!
THAT LIP COMBO IS GORGEOUS. YOU ARE OFFICIALLY GODDESS OF LIPS. Haha.
lol! Thanks, Sarah!
That lip is gorgeous, the face is really natural and I’m really digging the UD liners. I have to get my hands on some of those, clearly. 🙂
Thanks a lot, Carolina 😉
Your looks are so pretty!
Thank you!
At first I wanted the quad…
Then I thought I had some dupes, and convinced myself out of it
Then I looked at your looks with it, and wanted it
Then I talked myself out of it…
Now I think i’m going to have to get it
All this thiking about makeup can’t be good for school *sigh*
LOL!!
Fantastic look Christine!
Thank ya, Tami!
I love the make up~
Thanks, Sofia!
Pretty. I love those e/s colors.
Thanks, Angela!
I love how you added the color star violet to the look. It really brings the other colors out more. I will definitely use star violet next time. I love purples and neutrals. This is one of my favorite looks that you created. Great work. 🙂
Thanks so much, Ava 🙂
I like that blush on you! And I love Color Me Coral lipstick 🙂 I wasn’t thinking I’d get any of the lipsticks from that collection but once I swatched it I fell in love with it 🙂
Aw, thanks Dusty 😉

Thanks, Summer!
hey looking gorgeous as usual ….
no new words dear to describe how good u r looking
the lip combo is very good now i want this …
oh how huge is this coll.
never thought of pairing a coral lipstick with purple lg …
is this eyeliner similar to el dorado ?
i have that and absolutely love
but use it very less coz its a small size
hey tell me ur fav lip liner?
if u say i dont use at all pls tell me which brand is the best
in that ? coz i love lip liners but dont have any high end
like mac or nars or any other…
Thank you so much, Rashmi!
I haven’t tried that many, but I like MAC’s Cremestick Liners. I love Buerre and Pink Treat.
It is similar to El Dorado, not 100%, but it’s close enough 🙂
Absolutely stunning! I love the gold on the lower lashline.. stunning! Oh, and the lips! Gorgeous as always 🙂
Thank you so much, Kimberley!
Pretty! I think this would make a perfect fall look. 🙂
Thank you, Iliana!
the look is great!!! you make it look so easy!!! just pretty!!!
Thanks, Luisafer!
Oh these lips KILLED me, Christine! Colour Me Coral is not really my thing so I’m not going to buy it but was going crazy trying to figure out how to do something similar with Purple Rage. I finally layered it over Lollipop Loving – did the trick! The green didn’t even show through, just the frost. (It’s great, because I adore LL, but it looks flat-terrible on me by itself. Always trying to find more uses for it.)
I’m impressed with how nice Springshine looks (it seemed so *brown* in swatch). I’m resisting the blush ombres because of how big and expensive they are but I might have to get a bronzy blush that’s more matte than my beloved Otherworldly.
(The eyes are great too, of course! As usual! 🙂 Love your use of Star Violet – too bad I swapped mine away as I never used it, haha.)
YAY! I’m so glad that Lollipop Loving + Purple Rage = awesome!
It’s pretty brown – it’s kind of like layering a brownish bronzer on. Usable, but not up my alley.
I think this was the first or second time I’ve used Star Violet, LOL.
I just hauled this quad…and now I have to go back for these lips. Love your looks, Christine. Every freakin’ time!
LOL!
Thanks, Elle 🙂
Star Violet is one of my favorite MAC e.s.’s
can you suggest more ways to wear Star Violet?
and of course, another fantastic look you’ve done:)
Thanks, LRW! Try it with Woodwinked, Bronze, Coppering, Goldmine!
You look stunning!Love that lip combo on you.Thank you for your contribution to the beauty world, don´t know what i´d do without your website Christine…keep up the good work!!!
Thank you, Mehak!
