I almost always reach for MAC’s 159, which is a duo-fiber stippling brush, as it has a great shape for getting the right level of coverage but can still blend and diffuse edges. It’s also feathery at the edges to avoid disturbing base products if applying the cream blush over foundation. Otherwise, fingertips!

For something like Chanel’s cream blushes I use a brush (Real Techniques Expert Face brush) because they are very pigmented. Otherwise I’ll just use my (clean) fingers to blend
I wore a Chanel cream blush today and I went with the fingers, plus a Mac split fibre brush (I can’t remember the number!) to blend it out. That’s more or less my standard method now.
Fingertips! Part of the appeal of cream products for me is that I don’t need to fuss with brushes (which can be fun, but not when you’re feeling lazy or in a hurry).
My method is very unsosphicated. Clean, dry fingers to gently pat it on, blending out the color if need be with one of my fluffy kabuki brushes.
Real Techniques stippling brush is my favourite for cream blush
I usually use my fingers to put a few dots along the cheekbone, then blend them out and together along the cheek. I start with a little and add more if I need it. If a cream blush is really dark or bright, or has a stiffer texture, I’ll use a duo-fiber stippling brush so I can apply it more sheerly and evenly.

I stipple it on with my e.l.f. Stipple Brush, easy peasy!
After a few “clown cheeks” mishaps using my fingers, I now stick with a duo-fiber stippling brush and a “very” light hand. It often takes awhile to get the color that I want, but it’s easier to add more than try to remove too much.
That is my favorite! It is small and the bristles are perfect for getting the right amount on your cheeks!
MAC 130. I use for both cream and sometimes powder blush depending on formula. I have more of an angular shaped cheek, so large cheek brushes are total overkill and overshoot the area where I want to apply. This is a nice and compact brush, fits well in the contour of my face, works well with cream –synthetic is my usually the way I go with emollient products.
I haven’t worn cream blush in a minute, but when I did I always used fingers.
Freshly washed fingertips tapped- never rubbing or pulling- oh so gently.

Since I like my blush very subtle (just enough to give a bit of life to my face, since I am pale), I use my brush that still has some foundation on it so that the color is sheered out and blends very nicely on my face.
I use my fingers, as I find I have a heavy hand using a brush. Also, I find that drugstore brands streak.
For TRUE creams I use my fingertips. However, for the cream-to-powder hybrid types, I always use my trusty Elf stippling brush (cheap but good!). It’ll be interesting when I get my regular ColourPop blushes! Not worried about the highlighters though!
With my Illamasqua blush, I use my fingers. With Colour Pop, I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush currently.

Fingers. For now. I just wrote about how cream blush is driving me nuts. Got my first this weekend and am still trying to work out the best way to put it on. I looked like a beetroot yesterday after applying only a tiny amount with a brush. Fortunately I managed not to scare any strangers 😉
I’ve tried multiple ways, and found that fingertips work best. I blend out the edges with a dense, soft brush if required.
I use ELF’s small stipple brush.
Tap two fingers on blush and pat onto apples of cheeks, then blend in a circular motion while feathering outward on cheekbones. Have never used brush, would like yo try it.
I actually use Clinique’s Chubby Stick & apply to the fleshy area on my hand near my thumb, then use my finger and dot it on. That way I don’t get too much on my cheeks & can then blend.
Tap, tap, tap with the fingertips.
stippled or with a dense angled blush brush, sometimes i use my fingers but i prefer a brush
I use either my ring finger or the MAC 130 brush. It’s the perfect size for the apples of my cheeks.
I use a Beauty Blender but the only creme blush I ever use is MUFU HD Microfinish Blush and it sets very quickly.
Love that this came up! I just bought 2B’s blush souffle today, and I always use my fingers. I just never seem to have a good brush that will pick up the pigment, GO ON MY FACE and not just stick to the brush for dear life. =/
Finger tips or Real Techniques stipple brush
Have you (or anyone) ever compared the 159 to the Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Contour brush? I have the latter but find it a little weak. I wonder if the 159 is better?
I just pat it on with my fingers. No brush at all.
