I’ve been using a ME! Bath sugar scrub in the shower followed by Origins Ginger Souffle body cream. I use philosophy shower gels for cleansing!
Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.
Christine, just so you know that the second time the questions is state it says “do you ever later two blushes!”
Fixed, thank you!
Uh…two questions this time? Blush layering & Body Skincare Routine?
Let’s see…Body Skincare is mostly Aveeno products bc I’m prone to eczema and itchiness:
1) Shave gel is Aveeno Men’s Fragrance-free shave gel (it’s better than the women’s version)
2) Aveeno Skin Relief Fragrance-free Body Wash
3) Aveeno Eczema Cream
4) Paula’s Choice Clinical Instant Calm Advanced Redness Relief: for any itchy areas
5) I don’t really exfoliate my body–only my feet and my face.
Sorry, I forgot to also change-out the question in the body of the text!
**Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Soap – HG for me. I take 2 hot showers a day, but this leaves my skin so clean, soft and smooth. It’s 100% natural, only $5 for a HUGE Bar that I have to cut in half, and it still lasts me months. You can also rub it against a body wash net, and get tons of gentle lather to exfoliate. I buy by the dozen when Ulta has a sale
** Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash (pink grapefruit) – love the smell and gets rid of any body acne
** Jergens Shea Butter Moisturizer – I stock up whenever there’s a sale
**Vaseline Spray & Go in Cocoa Butter – I spray my back, where I can’t reach
Just wanted to make sure – blush = scrub? LOL. so lost!
Sorry, the question is the title of the post – I forgot to copy the question into the body of the post!
Mario Badescu A.H.A Botonic body soap(work very well for an acne on my back and not dry my skin) and Jergens Ultra Healing moisturizer. I used Soap&Glory Sugar Crush body scrub twice a week.for body sunscreen I loved Banana Boat Ultra Protect sunscreen spray
I’m loving all these routine-related questions 🙂 I scrub once a week with Caudalie’s Divine Scrub and the rest of the week I use a shower oil from Argan. And after I shower I apply body lotion, right now I’m using one with warm vanilla and shea from Kruidvat.
Just shower gel…tho I should use smth else, too…
You wrote Have you ever layered two blushes together? Share! below this question 😀
Fixed, thank you!
Your answer doesn’t quite match the question. 🙂
I generally layer blushes on a daily basis. I use a darker blush on my cheekbones and a lighter blush on the apples of my cheeks. I also add a little of the lighter blush to the bridge of my nose. Since I don’t use bronzer (I’m very fair, they all look odd on me), I contour with blush.
Fixed, thank you!
LOL now I sound like I don’t know what the question was! Haha! Oh well…I love blush. 🙂
So funny – I’ve been contemplating sending in this very question!! Also, what do you do to nourish/repair your skin?? (body and face)..winters are harsh. My skin is dry/dehydrated and sensitive.
I am currently using a shower creme (nivea) or shower oil (Yves Rocher) and Nuxe Huile prodigieuse. I’m almost done my 2nd bottle of that! I generally exfoliate 1x a week with a Nip Fab body scrub. I don’t use it everywhere, only where there are rough spots and bumps. And about 1x a week i use a gradual tanner/moisturizer just to take the edge of this pale winter skin I’ve acquired LOL.
Hey Christine, i think you have yesterday’s question headline up still, just FYI.
Mine is not too fancy..I just use a Dove sensitive skin moisturizing body wash or the Body Shop shower gels with a pouf . I also about once or twice a week use a scrub( whatever looks good at Ulta or the grocery store) or those exfoliating gloves, shave where/when needed. I have a couple of lotions I rotate. I like Curel in winter. But, in summer generally something lighter. last year I Was into C. Booth a lot. I try to remember to do a quick scrub on my feet with my Dimacel(spelling?) (awesome tool) and after my shower I use Loccitane foot lotion and put socks on while I get dressed year round. I have done that since I was young and my feet have never gotten callused, even when I was a high-mileage runner.
Fixed, thank you!
I’ve been using a Caldrea fig & coconut body wash and a Soap & Glory body scrub in the shower. I always moisturize after a shower! I like the Garnier Body Intensive lotion, Body Shop body butters, L’Occitane Almond milk concentrate, but right now I’m using a body balm that was made locally (Loon & Raven Naturals)!
I usually use SoftSoap Pomegranate & Mango shower gel, though right now I’m using Rituals Yogi Flow shower gel. I use it on a net scrubbie to exfoliate. I use Nu Skin Baobab Body Butter on my hands and cuticles at least twice a day. I have tubes of lotions and body butters scattered around the house, because my hands get really dry. I use Nu Skin Epoch Sole Solution on my elbows (for eczema) and feet. I have different body lotions, but I rarely have the time to moisturize my whole body as often as I should. In the summer, I use the highest SPF sunscreen I can get, and I use it all over. I always keep lipstick, gloss or balm on my lips at all times, and exfoliate my lips with a sugar scrub as needed. I try to drink plenty of water, too.
When I have time, I would use Epsom salts with a bubble bath and while I am in the shower, I’m currently using honeymania by the body shop and sometimes a sugar scrub.
Are you supposed to have one?
I use a Rituals scrubs regularly, otherwise a scented soap bar to cleanse (usually a local or natural brand). To nourish and moisturize I use one of the many body lotions/creams/butters I own, I just choose the scent I want that day depending on my mood!
I use Dove bar soap in the shower. That’s about it!
(When I’m living in a desert, I’ll usually add a body lotion after I shave–generally just something from B&BW.)
I actually use Old Spice (Zanzibar scent) shower gel because I love love how it smells though I appreciate that it doesn’t leave a lingering scent. (I really don’t want to smell like a man!) I also have a big bottle of Philosophy Amazing Grace body wash in my shower when I want something more feminine and that lingers a bit longer. Both leave my skin feeling the same. I moisturize with Lubriderm Extra-Dry skin after showers even though recently I’ve been trying the Nivea in shower body moisturizer. I dont feel that the Nivea product really does anything so I’ll probably just use up the bottle and not repurchase. I’m really bad with scrubs and havent done it in a long while. I should really pick one up, it would help with my dry skin I’m thinking. Another product I use to really love but havent used in a while is the Jergens BB Body creme. It is SO good and worth the $12 a tube.
Neutrogena Shower Gel (original formula)
Soul Purpose Brown Sugar Gel
Soul Purpose Body Balm (a signature scent and formula for me everyday)
Aquafor (feet) in winter
NARS Moni Body Oil or Jafra Almond Body Oil in spring/summer/fall
Christine, how do you like the Origins Ginger Souffle body cream? I’ve been thinking about giving it a try.
Haven’t used it enough to really say! I’m not a fan of the scent personally, though! It seems fairly quick to absorb and isn’t sticky!
Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Wash, Salux towel, and Sibu Body Cream!
Philosophy Pure Grace Olive Oil body scrub…delish
For body wash I’ve been loving Bath and Body Works Love and Sunshine. Been using the matching body cream and spray. Also Sanitas Orange Pomegranate body lotion. I typically use the bathing garden’s body scrubs and whipped soaps but been branching out and testing out some from Nightwing Naturals and Savor. Great stuff!
I use QV Gentle body wash and whatever body moisturizers I have – Cetaphil’s moisture cream, Natio Spa Moisturizer. I don’t exfoliate my skin – only my face (once a week) and feet (twice a week). I think too much exfoliation can leave your skin irritated.
Body wash, shave, dry off, lotion.?
Why do I suddenly feel like I’m doing it wrong?
My entire skin/body care consists of using all-natural/organic products. I use organic bar soap from Whole Foods (I have no idea which brand) and then if I’m dry, a oil salt scrub my sister in law makes with a blend of organic oils. Why further pollute our water, when natural, biodegradable stuff is available?
i’m so lazy when it comes to body skincare but i mainly use Jojoba oil as a moisturizer instead of lotions which i feel leave a residue on the skin
Very simple:
1. Cleanse with Dove hypo-allergenic uncscented soap
2. Moisturize with virgin coconut oil
3. Daytime – always use lotion with spf
I like some kind of liquid soap body wash. Now that it’s spring I’m using Softsoap Riviera something or other that smells like flowers. After I dry off, I use Eucerin. I’ve tried other stuff but keep going back to Eucerin. It leaves my skin very smooth, it’s unscented so I can use whatever other fragrance I want without I conflicting.
Regular routine is gentle, fragrance-free body wash, either Aveeno Skin Relief or Clinique Deep Comfort, used on a Body Polisher from the Body Shop – it used to be called a Skin Towel. Looks like a super long, narrow washcloth but made out of scrubby nylon similar to the texture of a bath puff sponge. The length makes it much, much easier to wash my back! No crazy contortions required *g*. Then I put Neutrogena Body Oil on damp skin when I get out.
New addition is Palmer’s Cocoa Butter spray lotion, which smells like hot chocolate. This makes it easier to moisturise my back! Which is a concern in winter, as I get dry patches and sometimes mild eczema on my shoulders and upper back, and the latter body part is bloody hard to keep moisturised properly. Having a spray formula available makes it a lot simpler. The Neutrogena oil does a good job, but I can only apply it when I’m dripping wet from having just got out the shower, so the Palmer’s spray lets me top up on moisture whenever I need it.
Every now and again, I’ll use the Sanctuary Spa Body Microdermabrasion Scrub (which I believe is UK exclusive, sorry). It’s a pre-shower exfoliating scrub that you apply to dry skin, then step into the shower and rub in again when wet, then rinse off. It has a nice citrus scent that doesn’t linger and my skin feels so nice and smooth after using it. I occasionally use a standard in-shower body scrub also; no specific one, as my favourite was sadly discontinued. It was a mango and brown sugar scrub that smelled divine.
Aesop geranium leaf body wash on a Body Shop scrub cloth followed by Clinique deep comfort body lotion.
