Anastasia, the clear one in the gold tube. Surratt is excellent as well, but goes on rather white which disappears at a slower rate than I would like.
I wasn’t certain if the question referred to ‘tamer’ gel or ‘colour’ gel for filling in brows. If filling in brows, my current fav is Armani in colour #2- perfect for dark brunettes without looking scousey

I add and mix a tiny amount of sifted eyeshadow in it.
Benefit Gimme Brow! I love it for the tiny brush and the color. I use the Light/Medium shade, which is a very natural taupe. It fills in sparse spots on my brows really well and provides a natural looking hold.
I love the maybelline’s brow drama and the marc jacobs’ brow gel 🙂
Eyeko Brow Gel is the best! My brows are better than ever since I’m using it! 🙂
I’m all about the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel!
Benefit’s speed brow is treating me pretty well right now, better than Gimme Brow or Anastasia products have done for me.
Definitely Benefit’s Gimme Brow. It never looks painted on.
Brow gel is something I won’t spend a lot of money on. The one by Essence does the job perfectly and it’s only $2.99!
For a tinted version I would definitely say Benefit’s Gimme Brow. For a clear version, I am loving the new one by Julep.
Really? My mom gave me the tube she got in her recent box (she always forgets to cancel, ha ha) and I feel like it does NOTHING. It claims to accelerate growth, which I am very skeptical of, but it’s the only reason why I have kept using it (it’s probably not going to make my brows fall out, right? so I might as well!).
I’ve technically only tried the Anastasia clear brow gel but I love it so I figure it’s worth mentioning lol. The wand isn’t too big or bushy and the formula doesn’t make my brows feel or look hard or crunchy. It’s pretty good!

Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper is excellent. The Bloom eyebrow gel was the best I ever used though (it was like super glue!) but sadly Bloom is no more… 🙁
I’ve only used the Anastasia clear. I like it and bought 2 when Ulta had them for $10 at their Beauty event. They last me forever. I hate her colored one. I’ve never really used a colred one I like .
Stila Stay-All Day waterproof brow color, hands down. It has a teeny little brush that is perfect for filling in small spots, and it really does not budge without specially formulated eye-makeup remover. When it dries, I use an NYX brow shaper pencil (a light wax) or Anastasia clear brow gel to shape everything up.
Benefit Gimme Brow darkens AND shapes, but I always manage to apply it with clumps, so still have to do a second step with a brow brush to smooth the formula. It’s not as waterproof as the Stila — a BIG must for summer in coastal South Carolina — so it will be going buh-bye very soon.
I’m quite fond of NYX Control Freak brow gel. Perfect amount of hold, but I wish the applicator was smaller.
You can always snip at it with some scissors!
the tarte one is nice, i suppose. i’m interested in some drugstore ones, since they’ve been coming out with a few!
I love mac brow set in beguile. Just got a new one. I tried benefit gimme brow, but it comes off too unevenly and leaves my brows patchy.
Maybelline’s clear mascara does a pretty good job for me. My brows don’t go crazy so I don’t really need any extreme hold.
Recently, however, I’ve been in love with Nyx’s colored brow mascara in Blonde. Does a great job of lightening my brows (which are brown) and looks perfect with their corresponding Blonde micro brow pencil.
I only use clear gel and my brows are pretty easy to manage, so I just use some Wet n Wild clear mascara.
Eyeko Brow Gel. It stays in place, has beneficial ingredients, and leaves a nice natural defined look.
I like NARS Brow Gel alright. I usually use pencil or powder.
Eyeko Tinted Brow gel and MAC Waterproof Brow Set(I loved their tiny brush)
I love MAC waterproof too, including the brush!

Loreal brow stylist plumper in medium-dark brown! Much more cost efficient than Benefit gimme brow and works just as well (plumps up your brows with fibres)
