Christian Louboutin Ni Toi Ni Moi Nail Colour Review, Photos, Swatches
Christian Louboutin Ni Toi Ni Moi Nail Colour
Christian Louboutin Ni Toi Ni Moi Nail Colour ($50.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is described as a “mint green.” It’s a lightly brightened, medium-dark green-teal with a cream finish. Essie Naughty Nautical (LE, $8.00) is brighter, lighter. YSL Vert d’Orient (36) (P, $25.00) is darker. MAC Salad Dressed (LE, $16.00) is bluer. MAC Ocean Dip (LE, $16.00) is greener. Illamasqua Venous (LE, $17.00) is similar. China Glaze Exotic Encounters (LE, $7.50) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
It was mostly opaque after two coats, though there was a hint of nail line coming through at certain angles (I almost thought I was imagining it due to it being that subtle). The consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, and it flowed really well across the nail without streaking or pooling along the edges. It dried down to a very glossy, plush-looking finish (almost like a jelly-cream hybrid) and didn’t need a top coat. I felt like this applied exactly as it should–with great ease–and it lasted longer than the other two shades I’ve tested from the range. This shade had minor tip wear, but no chipping, after ten days of wear.

Oooh, pretty! I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do 🙂
Yay! 🙂
Now this is a beauty! I have a soft spot for teal nail polishes. Still not sure I’d shell out 45 euros (yes, it’s 45 euros here) for it, but I’m glad to finally see a Louboutin nail polish that performs well!
It is a pretty one! I was hoping for a truer mint green (I was actually eyeing the lighter green in the range, but it was sold out).
Love this shade, but I love Illamasqua’s prices better…along with their wickedgreat formula.
Illamasqua’s is still fab!
I just love this color! It’s one of the few shades I want from his line.
What other ones have caught your eye, Fancie?
Lovely summary color. I find it quite similar to Dior Nirvana, Nirvana being a bit more deeper. <3 <3
Thank you, Eesha!
Damn that’s a beautiful color!
It is a nice shade!
It’s very pretty! It looks very green at the bottom of the bottle though, that’s kinda weird.
It does! I have no idea – I tried to mix it, but no luck.
It might just be the way the faceted bottom refracts the light on the bottom of the bottle. If not, then they’ve got a pigment that really settles.
Could be! It definitely seemed more noticeable in the bottle photo than in person.
By far the prettiest teal I have seen in a long time and that bottle! Wow!
It is a nice shade of teal!
but I’m actually quite curious about the brush it comes with. Does it come with a tiny brush?
It’s a normal sized brush!
A fun color, and good quality too
I was so glad it applied well!
this is nowhere near “mint green”! Haha, but it’s still really pretty. I haven’t seen CL bring out a polish that has me like TAKE MY MONEY!
Oh these minty tealy greens are my weakness but I can’t justify $50 for nail polish! $12 is as much as I’ve ever paid and ever will. So many affordable brands release similar dupes.
It’s pretty but I can’t afford to pay that for NP.
i wouldn’t purchase this for myself because of the ridiculous price tag but…this would be a great birthday gift for the BFFs who love makeup and posh stuff
That colour is really gorgeous! I’m this came through so well 🙂 I rather like the look of Vert d’Orient in the dupes too…
I’d never pay that much for a polish but WOW that color <3
Polish isn’t my vice, so it’s not something I’d be compelled to buy myself (personally!), but I get curious and with the blog, so easily justified!
Lovely shade of teal. Glad to see it applied better than the other shades.
The title of this polish reminds me of the Spongebob episode where he makes the doodle of himself that comes to life and says babbles like, “ME HOY MINOY!”. The fact that’s it’s teal like the ocean doesn’t help. 😀
Very pretty colour, but that lid looks like a dangerous weapon!
It pretty much is 😉
Do you use a topcoat for testing? If so, which one?
No, I don’t use top or base coats for testing.
It’s pretty and all…but so are all the dupes. There’s are a lot of pricey things I’d buy IF I had the money, BUT this is definitely not one of them lol. I just couldn’t justify it to myself “why?” The bottle is the best part, thank God I’m not a sucker for packaging:P
both packaging and the color is so pretty
