Charlotte Tilbury Confession Kissing Lipstick

Charlotte Tilbury Confession Kissing Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, shimmery, rose gold–it’s a warmer pink with hints of peach paired fine, gold shimmer–with a soft, frosted finish. Tom Ford Beauty Pink Dune (02) (LE, $49.00) is sheerer, warmer. bareMinerals Feel the Love (LE) is less shimmery, pinker. Bobbi Brown Baby Pink (P, $26.00) is pinker. It’s a new, limited edition shade for the holidays, and it’s festive in its own way. It makes me think New Year’s Eve with the shimmery finish, which makes it a bit different from some of the other beiges she has in the range. The color coverage was mostly opaque, and the consistency was lightly creamy with a light-to-medium-weight feel on the lips. It applied evenly and fairly smoothly, while the color itself lasted for four hours on me and was somewhat hydrating over time.

This is… nice? Idk, it’s not really getting me all hot and bothered or anything… It’s pretty and I’m sure it’ll go well with the Fallen Angel palette (which I DID in fact order haha). I guess I do appreciate her releasing an LE holiday lipstick that ISN’T fifty shades of red (coughMACcough)

Hey Christine! I was just wondering, what made you decide that this particular color deserves a B rating? I was just curious how this one performs in comparison the the colors you reviewed for us yesterday, since they all got an A rating.

It didn’t apply as smoothly and it was only somewhat hydrating. I just checked, and I rated this a B+ (I don’t see the grades, I just see numbers, so I don’t actually think in terms of grades usually!), but please let me know if you’re only seeing a B?

The combination of Confession and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds looks lovely on you! I also am looking forward to your review of Fallen Angel. I received it yesterday and I absolutely LOVED IT. I thought her eyeshadow quads were a bit ho-hum but Fallen Angel is incredibly beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, the idea of the colour is quite nice (nude without being boring), but I’m not so much with how…mottled?…it looks on the lip surface. I appreciate that most of my issues are in the up-close shots (which is not how people usually see one’s lipstick, LOL!), but I always come back to that issue that if *I* know it’s there, then I can’t stop thinking about it! 😀
