Yeah I don’t really follow celebrities much either lol. I don’t think it’s weird at all to not follow them.
I’m definitely more weirded out by people who fanatically keep up with celebrities, because I don’t understand caring so much about what other people are doing when they aren’t paying your bills or impacting you in any way.
I think Beyonce and Rihanna are two celebrities who consistently have great makeup tho.
Bey in particular, because even though her look overall seems to be pretty much the same, I’m consistently impressed by the variety and quality of her makeup looks in her music videos.
Dita Von Teese, hands down. She does her own make up most of the time for red carpet events and photoshoots, and she always looks fantastic.
I second that. She has cultivated her own glamour instead of putting it in the hands of others. She is consistently gorgeous and even more so in person and that goes for her body too.

Jennifer Aniston for the “natural”, every day look, for sure. Mariska Hargitay for a professional look. For parties and things, I almost always go to Tanya Burr’s video makeup looks. I’m always looking for inspiration on celebrities. Haha I have a hard time coming up with anything on my own.
Anyone with a natural makeup look….not with the darkening of brows, the fake lashes, the bold lips….and especially that fake orange tan.
Jessica Chastain; she has similar colouring to me, so I’m always interested to see how she (well, her stylist!) alters the latest makeup trends to suit her skintone. I like that her makeup never looks heavy or overdone.
Dita von Teese and Gwen Stefani have always been favorites of mine. The latter was the inspiration for bleaching my hair. 🙂

Marion Cotillard is perfect in everything and her makeup is no exception.
I always forget about her because I’m more flashy personally, but she is gorgeous and has impeccable taste. She slipped my mind, but IMHO Rachel Weisz is similarly on point.

Kim Kardashian (always looks flawless & glowing, perfectly done eyes), Jennifer Lopez (glowing skin), Rihanna (can rock many makeup looks), Angelina Jolie (stunning and the makeup is elegant, not over-done)
I completely agree with each of your picks, and I would add Olivia Palermo on my list too – hers is always just right, never too much.
I don’t really keep up much either, but I usually check pictures after a big event like the Oscars or other award ceremonies to see some dresses and makeup. I don’t have a specific celebrity that I follow because of makeup, but I think they always do a good job with Jennifer Lawrence: having hooded eyes it’s more complicated to achieve nice eye makeup, but they always do it with her. And having hooded eyes myself (even though not so much as her) it really helps getting some ideas!
I have hooded eyes too! I don’t necessarily “follow” celebrities either but I do watch east asian programs (bc a lot of east asians have hooded eyes too!). Doing this gives me a lot of ideas about coordinating colors or makeup ideas. I also flip through a lot of magazines so that also gives ideas.
I could not think of any celebrity right off the top of my head either, I don’t “keep up,” either. But after some thought I realized I really like retro/vintage looks so maybe heavy eyes and nude lips like Lana Del Rey? I also LOVE that red lipstick she wore in the “Born to Die” video. I SO want to know what brands and colors she is using. I’ve read from an interview that she likes YSL l/s and from another site (not an interview) that her nude lip is a mix of M.A.C. Snob and Myth. I’ve seen a couple YT tutorials where they used Myth and it looked nice. I think I’m going to be visiting the MAC Counter again soon 🙂

I absolutely love Lana Del Rey’s makeup! Marina & The Diamonds makeup for her “archetypes” or what to say was always pretty, too.
Emma Watson, Kristen Stewart, and Emma Stone always do something fresh and fun for girls my age. I don’t have a lot of lid space though, so I also like to look at Blake Lively, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, etc.

Gwen Stefani always looks good. I think Megan Fox, Taylor Swift, Angelina Jolie, Rhianna, Beyonce’ and Kiera Knightley have great glam makeup looks. For the colorful, fun, far-out stuff, I enjoy Lady Gaga, Katy Perry (she also has some nice glam looks) and Nicki Minaj.
Rihanna, Naomi Harris, Kerry Washington, Taylor Swift and Tika Sumpter. I also like a lot of magazine cover looks lately; Ariana Grande in the cover of the October Marie Claire and Olivia Munn on the cover of April’s Allure were 2 of my favorites. Victoria Beckham had a great cover look on Allure this year as well.

I don’t really follow celebrities at all so can’t really say. I like the way Hermione Norris (a British actress best known for MI5/Spooks) looks/looked in that role but partly it’s because she was SO kick-ass! I would love to be that fearless and kick-ass but I also liked her makeup (I recall watching one particular episode and trying to watch in “slow motion” to figure out what eyeshadow she was wearing and the placement of it!) I will say, though, that if I see one more youtube or blog or article detailing “how to get the Kim Kardashian look”, I will not be responsible for my actions! Why want to look like someone else when you can look like yourself?

Of course J Lo & Kim are the fiercest. Worship Mario D- he does a smokey eye, nude lip and highlighter like nobody’s business. But. JLo’s crew is amazing as well.
I’m going to sound very unoriginal and say that I like the Kardashian sisters make-up a lot. I’m not a fan of the show or a huge fan of them in general either, but let’s face it, their make-up is always on point and flawless. On the other hand, I’d say that I like Rihanna’s edginess when it comes to bold lip colors and sculpting/definition. I also love Beyonce’s gorgeous glow that she always has going on.
Same… Maybe Kristen Stewart? Maybe? I remember a couple of looks from her that I truly loved, but only cause I’m a sucker gor smokey eyes. But I’m totally out of date, cause I don’t pay much attention.
Same here about Kristen Stewart. I also like looking closer at Rihanna’s and Keira Knightley’s events/awards makeup looks.

I tend to like Jennifer Lopez when she makes a public appearance. The over all glow is lovely, fresh and sophisticated!
SO many. Rihanna and Katy Perry are my personal faves, but Gaga, Angelina Jolie, Brody Dalle, Iggy Azalea even though I find her insufferable, Lorde, Lily Collins, and the Victoria’s Secret models all get honorable mentions.

Charlize Theron comes to mind as she always looks flawless without being overdone. It doesn’t hurt that she’s drop-dead gorgeous. Gwen Stefani as well – she always looks polished.

I always liked Leighton Meester makeup for a casual, every day look. I’d say Kim K for a dramatic one.

I like watching red carpet events and award shows if I can, and I always love Beyonce and Rihanna’s makeup. They always have really beautiful smokey lids and I love that Rihanna isn’t afraid to experiment more with lip color and use bolder lipsticks. I find that a lot of celebrities tend to stick with safer lip options (nudes, pinks, or reds) for red carpet events.
I think Beyoncé and Rihanna always look very polished but not overdone!

I always like Zooey Deschanel’s look, whether in her character as Jess on New Girl or at celebrity galas. Her skin is always porcelain and bright, her eyes look as if they’re sparkling and her use of that wonderful red lipstick is wonderful. When I’ve seen her on various awards shows, I thinkk I would call her look “fresh scrubbed glam”.

Amal Clooney, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Sophia Vergara, the Kardashian sisters, the present and former VS “angels”, many of the models from Eastern Europe.
I really love Jessica Alba and Shay Mitchell they have a natural glam style that is easy to replicate for us regular girls!
I don’t really follow anyone, but I like it when celebrities wear lipstick that is not nude because in photos they look as if they haven’t finished their makeup properly. Dislike the fake tan look. Probably I notice Nicole Kidman the most.
I, too, love Nicole Kidman’s signature bright red lip – it looks wonderful on her.
Nobody comes to mind for me. I think it’s because I look at most celebrities as having a look that I can’t relate to. They are either super young and/or effortlessly gorgeous and/or have had so much plastic surgery and Botox that I have to look away. My impression is that many of them are so pampered that they don’t do their own makeup (and what they do wrong is photo-shopped). So I find that I don’t look much at them at all because most of them seem fake to me, sort of like a caricature.
For me, really nobody – I wear what I like, and what I think looks good on me – take it from a woman who has NEVER never NEVER worn a nude lip, in public.
That said, I do usually like Robin McGraw’s makeup. She generally has flawless pale skin (ENVY!), softly defined eyes, and a flattering lip color. She’s a good example of a classy mature woman who wears a modern interpretation of a “full face,” and does it tastefully. And I don’t say that just because she’s from Texas, my home state! 🙂

Kim K is definitely one and I always love Jennifer Lopez and her glow! They have flawless skin to work with, which makes such a difference to how makeup turns out.
This is going to make me sound like a teenager, but I really enjoy Taylor Swift and Kylie Jenner’s makeup. It’s usually clean, classic, and polished.
For more dramatic makeup. I don’t know if they’re technically celebrities, but I can always count on the Pixiwoo sisters (Nic Haste and Sam Chapman) to have an original dramatic look that I can draw inspiration from.
Two very different celebs and makeup styles: JLo, it’s never extreme and just enhances her beauty, she just glows. And Dita von Teese, her makeup is almost Kabuki in starkness but is also a classic glamour look and very feminine. And Dita does it all herself, I admire that she developed her own look.
Cara Delevingne, Mercedes Arn-Horn, and Taylor Momsen are probably my top 3. (: Cara can rock pretty much any look, dramatic or natural. And Mercedes and Taylor always have great smoky eyes.
