I need to make drawer space for mine, I have them in my brush cup and it’s going to wreck them.
In the palettes they come in which is the only reason I have any double ended brushes. I don’t buy them because of the storage issue.
I’m the same way now. I bought one and hated the hassle of storing it alone to keep both ends decent so it’s in the box of items to go to a friend who needs it. I doubt I’ll ever buy any more double ended brushes on their own.
I choose the side of the brush I like better, and store it in my normal brush cup with that side facing up.
I usually make a homemade brush guard for them then either store them in my brush roll or in pencil case-type pouches (either plastic or fabric).
I keep my brushes in a pencil case (GASP), so that’s where my two double-ended brushes live. I recently sold a bunch of my brushes actually, 16 I think, and my collection looks so sparse now. Now I have 22, which sounds like a lot now… Anyway, yeah. Cool story, bro.
I really don’t like double-ended brushes because they are so hard to store. I don’t buy them. I usually give them away.
Great question! I’m very curious to see all answers!
Just put them in my brush roll. And if they have plastic caps I’ll put those on first.
In a makeup bag in my drawer. I don’t have many double-ended ones.
I think I only have the one double-ended brush and I just have a brush guard on both ends so that I can keep it in one of the pots I use to store my brushes.
I only double ended brushes that I own are all the ones that come with the Naked and Anastasia palettes. I just leave them inside the palettes.
I don’t own any, for the same reason.
I only have one double ended brush, but this seems like a good idea for those with a greater number of brushes:

Oh, I really like this! Do you know where it can be purchased?
It looks to me like a little bin/basket used to hold small items in the bathroom. You may have luck checking Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Target, etc… HTH!
Where can I find one of these? 🙂
Like above, I believe I’ve seen these in the bath/shower section in Target and Walmart. Bed, Bath & Beyond would be a good bet too.
That is a great idea!
In a makeup bag or laying down in a drawer.
I only have three. They sit on my vanity in front of the cups I have with the rest of my brushes.
These are such a pain in the ass to store. I keep mine in a plastic bin too & some in a brush bag. I mostly use them for travel & also throw some in my makeup bag since its convenient.
I only have one, and I store it with the side I like the least down among my other brushes. Not ideal, I know.
I liked the storage in the link.
I have my brushes all stood up in vases on top of a silver serving tray. My few kabukis are just standing on the tray and I have the 3-4 double ended brushes I have just lying on it. I only use one from Stila and my mUFE eyebrow and anastasia eyebrow brushes.
Since I primarily use mine on-the-go, I just keep the ones I use most often in an old brush/pencil pouch, and the rest in a hard, rectangular clutch that came with a Sonia Kashuk brush set years ago. The clutch is black & sparkly, so it actually looks pretty on top of my dresser, too!
Another “plus” to my method is, when I do travel, I grab the bag & clutch, toss them in my bag, and I never worry about not having enough clean brushes, or the ones I need. They also stay cleaner than thebrushes I leave out, especially the ones I ddon’t use daily.
In a makeup brush case, or like Christine does in a bin in a drawer.
I only have one and don’t expect to get many more, so I keep it in the same pouch as I store my favourite brush set, along with a few other knickknack tools. Easy enough access and stored safely.
I keep mine lying flat in a little plastic bin
I just have them in a pot and don’t use the end that goes in the pot. I will never buy double ended brushes again! Silly idea!
Ha! I just got one from a subscription box, so this question is perfect timing.
Ok ladies, I just found this on Amazon as well. I’ve seen a 14-brush holder and a 24-brush holder as well:
