I like glitter eyeliner whenever I want a *pop* of color, but other than that, I can never really find a look where glitter eyeliner really works with it. I wear it around Christmas and New Years because of all the sparkles and it just fits the mood.
I actually have yet to find a liquid eyeliner that doesn’t drip in my eyes (I have monolids). So, consequently, I have not tried glitter liner yet. Taking regular eyeliner out of my eye is unpleasant enough, I imagine glitter would make it even worse.
I like glitter liners, esp Urban Decay’s and Collection 2000’s (UK brand). I don’t wear them too often, but I do sometimes and not just for occasion. They’re fun.
The only glitter eyeliner I’ve worn was by GOSH, and it was annoying as hell. The glitter settled on my lashes here and there as well, and I spent my evening being annoyed at the little flash of sparkly light that kept appearing in the corner of my left eye. After a while I realized that it was the eyeliner. Grrrrr. Next time I’ll stick to non-glitter.
I call that “GLITTA-VISION”!

Thumbs down! I’ve never found a glitter eyeliner that wasn’t gritty feeling and didn’t feel like I was going to rip my eyelid off when applied.
Try NYX candy glitter. They work fine for me and my eyes are sensitive.
I like wearing glitter liner a lot- but I can feel the burn lemme tell ya! Doesn’t matter what brand. I like the Sephora ones but OUCHIE! The Urban Decay one’s seem to have less ouchie, but I find that the product doesn’t dispense well. :/ I’d like to try the NYX ones.
For me, a less painful option applying glitter gel with a brush. Urban Decay makes a lovely one. Hard Candy at Walmart makes one- but I haven’t tried it.
I hate the glitter liners from Hard Candy. They are poorly made and need tons of coats to get color. At least the color I got.
I do when I am going out- just a dot on the inner and outer corners to make my eyes sparkle
I love Glitter liner. I have a NYX one but I have a few from Ben Nye’s Aqua Glitter than I use with a brush for liner. They work so amazing and have so much more glitter than UD or NYX. Plus it’s 7.99 at the costume shop I buy it at and it’s so big!
For some reason application of glitter liner eludes me. I can apply cream liner with a brush and have no problem, but liquid glitter liner with a handy dandy wand is just way too hard. I make a huge mess and my lines are crooked.
I always use NYX’s Blue glitter liner when I want to spice up a neutral eye with a fun winged liner.
It’s a fun way to add color and dimension, but it isn’t practical for my everyday makeup.
I just put China Glaze Atlantis on my fingers, so I must love glitter! On eyes, it’s a bit more difficult. The glitter always travels under my eyes. I have one Glitter Eye Liner, Her Glitz form Hello Kitty, and one Pearlglide Liner, Miss Fortune (love the colour), hardly used. I have to try them again!
I love it! So lovely for contrast, and I love layering it over different colors of liner or shadow for different effects. I’m a bit sad that the only ones I’ve found seem to be Urban Decay, or Too Faced, which are awesome, but a bit too expensive for building an arsenal of bright colors.
I love glitter liner! Plus, if you want an all-over glitter look over your shadow, just work fast. Put some on the back of your hand and dab it on lids w/your fingers. Works great, you don’t have to worry about adding lash glue or a mixing medium.
glitter eyeliner isn’t tacky atglitter eyeliner will make everyone’s eye’s shine and pop out [if you know what i mean] its great for parties and dates
I don’t wear glitter liner on a regular basis, but I wanted some sparkle for New Year’s, so I made some using Smashbox Off Set Shadow Converter and some no-name glitter I had lying around. Not only did it stay put (unlike the fallout from regular glitter liner), it looked super cute above my normal black cat-eye line!
i like the glitter eyeliner from too faced, but for some reason right after i apply it it burns til it dries. it doesnt take long to dry, and its not like horrible burning pain, but it burns nonetheless. i wish it didnt because id be so much more inclined to buy more of them, but so far i havent. going to try some other brands first.
Glitter liner is so pretty, but I hate the way it flakes off of my eyes after a couple of hours. I don’t want to leave the house looking smokin’ only to look a hot mess a short while later.
YEEEES! I love glitter eyeliner/glitter in general. I wear it at least once a week!
I love the way glitter eyeliner looks so I buy it all the time (especially UD Heavy Metal liquid) but whenever I wear it I regret it later b/c removing those sparkles from your eyeballs is a drag.
I love glitter liners. They jazz up any look!
I like the look for around the holidays but unfortunately my eyes seem to react to it even without getting fallout into my eyes so I haven’t had any luck with it (itch/swell/hurt). I wish I could find one that didn’t have that effect on me.
W7 & collection 2000 (uk brand) and makeup forever & mac glitters applied with a bit of benefit she laq + 263 brush tada!!
I love glitter liners! Urban Decay’s are my fave. I don’t wear it often, but when I do, I usually wear it just along the lower lashline. Occasionally, I wear it on the upper lashline over a black or other color liner. The only downsides: removal (some glitter always gets stuck between my lashes) and light reflection (when I wear it on the lower lashline, the glitter sometimes reflects light up into my eye, which doesn’t hurt but makes my eyes water).
I have a glitter eye-liner MAC put out last year that I looooooove. It’s has very neutral warm tones of brown and gold in it and looks great with smokey browns eyes or even a natural look.
I love glitter eyeliner but it is always so difficult to take off. There are always remaining random sparkles, even after you take off your make up.
I think the glitter liner that you buy is overrated…
it usually comes out chunky & looks like you threw glitter on your eye.
its much better IMO to just make your own with cosmetic glitter & mix it with cosmetic glitter. its much more rich & actually looks high end.
I like glitter eye liner, though I don’t wear it very often. I did wear it on New Year’s Eve, and it definitely added a little extra to my look. My only complaint is that it sometimes sticks to my lashes when I’m applying it.
I’m surprised with all the struggles you ladies are having! I love glitter liner, and a Canadian company called Lise Watier hands-down makes the best glitter liner I’ve ever used. It’s sold at Shoppers Drug Marts, ones with the beauty boutiques. The particles aren’t sharp when they get in the eye, which is very rare, unless you’re an eye-rubber. They come in every colour of the rainbow, some are limited edition though. They contain a high amount of glitter and a strong binding liquid and it dries almost instantly. Not goopy or runny. Lovee<3
Glitter liners are a new thing for me. I recently started using them. I have a few of the Urban Decay glitter liners. Sometimes I don’t want to wear a bold look, I just want a natural look with a pop of color thats when I use the glitter liners. I line my eyes with a black liner and I go over that with a glitter liner.
You can never go wrong with a glitter liner. You can add a little pizazz to a very simple look or just complete a look. Glitter liners aren’t just for the holidays.
I use cosmetic glitter with a eyeliner medium. It’s alright..what bothers me is the “Glitter Vision” from the light reflecting off the glitter.
I think I did glitter eyeliner once or twice after I bought it. Perhaps I should just use it on top of my eyeshadow or on the outer lid for less “Glitter Vision.” =/
I use Macs gel liner in blitz n glitz no glittervision

I absolutely love glitter liners because they’re really fast and easy so I can just “throw” them on without anything else while still feeling put together and they allow me to be glittery and colorful without being too obnoxious.
every glitter liner I’ve tried burns my skin until it’s completely dry…not fun
I don’t own a single glitter eyeliner, but I’ve wanted recommendations for the longest time. It may just be the kid in me, but I always feel like I’m having fun when I’m putting something glittery on.
I’d skip glitter altogether and use a metallic one.
I love glitter liner! UD, Too Faced, and NYX have excellent ones and a good range of colors.
I don’t seem to have any of the problems everyone else seems to. And Glitter Vision doesn’t bug me. 🙂
Usually when I get glitter eyeline, it has either gray or black in it as well, but only the glitter shows up, and it shows up sparsely. I don’t like it. I only use liquid eyeliner in black or navy blue now. lol, I stopped even using eyeliner pencils- too harsh,your eyes look more open with liner on the top of lids (IN MY OPINION 🙂 )
