5 Eyeshadows in Shades of Fall
One common color combination I feel I’ve been seeing more often as we get into autumn is a mix of copper, gold, and plum. Here’s my current favorite mix of shades in that vein! 🙂 These could all be worn together or as three or four shades. Subra is great for making the look appear smokier, cooler, while Goddess and Deep Damson create dimension with their less frosted finishes. I’d love to hear what shades you’re using to recreate the combination as well.
- Make Up For Ever ME728 Copper Red — a metallic, golden copper
- Makeup Geek Goddess — a satiny, orange with hints of brown
- Make Up For Ever ME654 Cauldron — a rich bronze with a frosted sheen
- MAC Deep Damson — a matte, plummy burgundy
- NARS Subra — a deepened yet muted purpled burgundy with a soft, frosted finish
Deep plum and copper gold do look fantastic together. I use my Inglot eyeshadows for that, cannot recall the numbers at the moment.
I can’t blame you. I don’t remember Inglot’s eyeshadows due to their numbering system either 🙁
Some of my favourites to use in fall are MAC’s All That Glitters paired with Mulch or Twinks (but mainly Mulch). I also love Stila’s La Douce – such a wonderful colour for autumn. And the Clarins Forest quad is perfectly designed for this time of year. I may have to get Nars Subra….it looks beautiful.
Love Mulch (and Twinks)! I always think All That Glitters has a ton of glitter, but whenever I use it, I’m reminded that I like it more than it seems.
I love All That Glitters, I quite often pair it with Trax, I must thake a closer look at Mulch and Twinx.
Makeup Geek Bitten is also a good one!
It is lovely as a crease color!

Love all these shades!! Gorgeous for anytime. When I can’t think of a look to do, these are some of my default colours, they always look good!

I wear L’Oreal Amber Rush on the lid with Urban Decay Buck in the crease almost exclusively in the fall. I like to wear it with Urban Decay Whiskey eyeliner and Tarte Exposed blush. I change around the lip color every time . . . and I can’t really remember what’s in that rotation!
Whiskey is a great eyeliner for those colors!

5. NARS Kuala Lumpur Duo

Garnet is one of my top 2 favorite eyeshadow colors of all time, along with MAC’s All That Glitters. It just looks SO good with my eye color and fair skin.
Oops, it’s actually “Cinnamon Spice.” It’s a single, and one of the first makeup products I ever bought. I’m not sure if they still even make it!
I’m going to try to remember to look for Cinnamon Spice!

Subra and Deep Damson are my favourites from this set 🙂 They’re all in one of my favourite ‘colour combos’ of mine though – it’s just that while I love the coppers in the pan, they don’t always took quite right on my cool-toned face, LOL!
Have you found any coppers that work on your skin tone, Sylirael?
Those last three colors are stunning. I love burgundy eyeshadow. I need to add more to my collection. Now I know where to start.

Lovely colours – but I would like to see a forest green or two in there. The Makeup Forever Cauldron is a beautiful colour.
The combo I was going for was a coppery-plum look 🙂 Forest green is lovely for fall, though!

1. the new liquid Lightning Liner from KVD in Hex – rusty metallic shade
2. MAC paint pot in Let Me Pop – translucent orange and pink sparkle
3. KVD palette in Poetica – awesome purple, plum, and orange shades
4. Color Tattoo in Caramel Cool (pretty sure this was LE from the Spring)
5. The Body Shop eyeshadow in Sunshine Love – bold matte mustard shade!
