Urban Decay Ten 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set
Urban Decay Ten 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set

Urban Decay Ten 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set ($52.00 for 0.31 oz.) includes ten (obviously!) eyeliners–one full-sized Perversion and then nine travel-sized (0.03 oz. vs. 0.04 oz., so it’s 25% smaller than full-sized) shades. These nine are all new, limited edition, and exclusive shades to this holiday set. I’m testing them right now and will have a full review for you soon! Here are swatches in the meanwhile…

Glitter Rock is so pretty! I’m also really like Voodoo, Gonzo and Vacancy. The other shades are lovely , too. I’m glad to see some browns in addition to the Perversion, to kind of ground all the exotic shades. These should go well with the Vice 3 palette colors.

I’m already combining shadow/liner looks in my head.

thanks so much for the swatches!!! i thought i was going to get this for sure, but i think i might actually pass on it. i have a ton of UD eyeliners (and last year’s ocho loco 2 set is on the way– i think sephora found an old box of christmas stuff because they were just on the site for $40, as well as the feminine palette, but they all sold out super quickly). i quite like mugshot, faint, gonzo, and voodoo (even tho it looks a bit sheer/like it needs to be built up) but not necessarily enough to spend $52. i’m quite disappointed in the silver color, and the gold, and the pink ish one, and the one that was supposed to be taupe with a pink shift, i thought those were going to be gorgeous (i have cuff, and a gold stila smudge stick and they’re both super pigmented and great)

i’m curious– how does voodoo compare to vice? (psychedelic sister looks more blue toned imo, and its lacking in the shimmer obvs. but vice looks pretty similar, but more vibrant) or vacancy to deep end? it looks like kindof a cross between deep end and junkie to me. oddly enough, i think faint might be my favorite from this set, i wish they sold it on it’s own, it’s normally a color that I only see in eyeshadows, and I really like that it’s matte, I think it would look great on the bottom lashline, but ugh I really don’t think this set is worth it for how many colors look too sheer/not what I expected from UD eyeliners.

thanks again T for getting all these swatches up so fast, you’re amazing!

I am excited for this!! This set reminds me a lot of my first UD/higher end makeup purchase, it was an UD 24/7 liner set with Lucky, Zero, Clover, a bright blue (Splash maybe?), and a bright purple (can’t remember the names of the last two) most of the colors in that got discontinued when they relaunched the 24/7 liners.

Not pleased that the shades are smaller sized. I guess their newness is expected to be the real seller. Going to wait for you reviews before pressing the order button.

I love their eyeliners, but I wish that here were a bit more variety in the shades in this box. The four brown/taupes all look kind of similar when swatched and the purple could be more pigmented. This one is a maybe for me.

I was hoping for an Ocho Loco 3 :/ But then again I bought the eyeliner vault last February so I’m not sure what I was thinking. I have enough eyeliner to last me until my head is frozen and my human eyes are eventually replaced by cyborg ones.

Think I’m going to pass on this one and get the Black Magic set instead! It’s cheaper and I feel like I’ll use the different blacks a lot more than these strange colors. Although, Gonzo, Vacancy and Voodoo are gorgeous 😉

I just wish that some of these could be purchased individually. There are some really pretty colors here but too many of them look to be not pigmented enough or too sparkly or metallic.

LibraTine Avatar

I like the shades, but a makeup pencil that needs sharpening, really?? This is the best they could do? I wish this antiquated, wasteful idea would just die out already!

Emily Avatar

Something about this set just isn’t doing it for me. I bought the Ocho Loco 2 set last year, and the array of colors and quality were fantastic. It was such a nice mix of neutral and interesting colors, and each of them are so wearable. It looks like there are too many colors in the Ten set that I would never touch. Some of them look too dry or like there’s not enough color payoff, maybe better for the lower lash line. I’ll be interested to hear how they perform!

Danielle Avatar

Why can’t Faint be a permanent shade?! I love 24/7 liners for filling in my brows (especially the weird colors) since it doesn’t matte the hairs against the skin and make me crazy. Vacancy is extremely reminiscent of Electric, which I hate–I don’t know if it’s just the sample pencil or if it’s the formula but it won’t stay put (even though I set it with eyeshadow) nor is it pigmented.XP Really not dying over any shades; actually dying over a permanent shade rather than anything here lol!

Donna Avatar

I love Crave for filling in my brows. Not too brown and not too black. The texture is just right and I don’t have problems with smudging. I wish I had found out about it long ago.

Cat Avatar

Hmmmm…. nope. I’m thinking I’ll pass on these. If Glitter Rock had been the color I’d always hoped it could be, then I probably wouldn’t have been able to resist this set. :'( Thanks for the swatches!

I am an Urban Decay fanatic and own over 60 pencils. There are not enough unique colors in this set to make it worthwhile buying. Also, considering that I got the 15th anniversary collection for $135, all full sized products, this doesn’t feel like much of a deal. I will pass this time.

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

I am a UD fanatic but don’t see much difference from what I already own. It takers me forever to use up liners, will probably pass. Colors are pretty and love overall quality but have a millionor so already

kohimiruku Avatar

you know, I used to buy all my UD pencils through these sets…
I ended up with about 20-30 of them, but the problem was as soon as I would use a shade enough to like it, it would get DC’d and replaced by something similar but not the same.
I can never figure out why UD is constantly replacing shades of eyeliner so quickly, I’m hoarding some of my old favorites like a paranoid makeup hermit, lol.

Helene Avatar

I’m not really impressed with these. I might change my mind if they all get A’s, of course. There are some very pretty ones, but thos looked a bit lacking in pigmentation. I hope they will look better on the lid.

Crystaleyes Avatar

I think this collection is aimed more to the auburn/ginger/redhead group, such as myself. Sorry to say it but only clowns wear black eyeliner and have red hair. You have not idea how jealous I am of you brunettes!

Cailee M. Avatar

Glad to say I can safely pass on this. Everyone’s got their own tastes, but to me, I wonder, is UD even trying to put in some effort into their sets anymore? What I’ve seen as of lately from them isn’t that great. These colors in this set look Patchy to the max. The colors aren’t even that great, especially Faint. * Shudders* no bueno. Thanks for the post and swatches, Christine! 🙂

Crystaleyes Avatar

AHHH! Finally! A matte soft brown/taupe by Urban decay. I can’t wait to be able to purchase the single version of Faint, my hair is too red for all the other UD browns.
