What beauty brand is most represented in your stash?

What beauty brand is most represented in your stash? Share!

I can only imagine it’s MAC, since they simply put out so many more products than any other brand. I’d say my stash is very diverse with good representation from many brands (even the majority of a brand’s core products, but since they’re more edited lines… well, MAC still wins!).

Definitely Urban Decay. I realized that I tend to buy a lot of my staple products from the brand, e.g. eyeshadows, eyeliner, foundation, lipstick, setting powder. And since they also tend to have quite a few options to choose from — like they come out with new palettes often, I think I own at least 7 — the brand is very well represented in my stash. Well, and their lipstick formula is also my favourite.

Donna Avatar

Chanel and NARS are my staples. At the end of the morning, those are the containers I’m putting away. I use MAC for all of the special touches (colors of eyeshadow, liner, highlighter), but on a daily basis, it’s Chanel and NARS.

Valerie Avatar

By me it is also MAC. They’ve so many collections and the first collection I saved money for was MAC x Hello Kitty. From that collection I bought a lot and so is my MAC collection growing each year.

Rachel R. Avatar

BareEscentuals or Urban Decay, probably. I definitely have brands I prefer, but I’ve kind of got a real mix of stuff going on. I’m not sure I really have all – or even a good chunk of – one brand’s products represented really well.

Nadine Avatar

Wet n Wild for sure – drugstore all the way for me!!! I actually only have one eyeshadow palette, one bronzer and one blush from the brand. What makes the brand the most represented in my stash is the fact that more than half of my lipsticks is from WnW. I love that because it’s an affordable brand, I get to experiment with a whole range of colors without breaking the bank. The fact too that I find their lipstick formula comfortable to wear (mega last and silk finish) makes the brand such a winner for me!

Nadine Avatar

They’re really great aren’t they? And wow that’s awesome! Sometimes i wish i lived in the US too so i can score awesome deals like u guys do! 🙂 you should try the silk finish ones too. The ones that don’t have frost/shimmer in them are some of my favorites! 🙂

I cringe whenever people overseas talk about the price of even drugstore cosmetics. Yikes! It makes even stuff I consider expensive to seem downright reasonable.

Depends on the product (+ probably the decade…)
Blush: Nars, followed by Chanel
L/S: Nars, followed by Lipstick Queen + old Poppy King
Eyes: UD, esp. pencils, followed by Sephora + Stila pencils Shadow: straight UD
Masc: a gazillion sample sizes of everybody! But prefer Blinc, 2nd too much dependency on concealer. Won’t run or smudge. Need tubing.

By decade? 60s: Revlon + Eliz Arden. 70s: Dior + Clinique. 80s: Anything i could get my hands on. Garden Botanica, Chanel. 90s: UD + Nars. 00s: UD + Nars. 10s: UD + Nars. I think i see a trend…

I have a relatively small stash; I own eight eyeshadow palettes and three are Lorac. I own sixteen lipsticks and seven are Nyx. I also own quite a few Maybelline and Nars products! I don’t know if it is because I am intimidated by the girls as my MAC counter, but I don’t own any MAC products! D-:

Kamila Avatar

Essence. Good quality, affordable and I can pick it up at the drugstore. I can’t shop at Sephora because I get panic attacks when the shop assistant ‘assists’ me plus the security guys hate me, and MAC and other brands here are price-wise on par with Chanel and Dior here, so yeah. Not for me.

Stacey Avatar

None really….I like to try out new collections. I have a bit of each of the popular brands. I don’t buy all the face products from that brand.

I just saw Gucci came out with a new makeup line.
I hope you, Christine, will get some press samples.
I hope the Gucci stores start selling them.

stacey Avatar

Ok. Thanks. I called Gucci- San Francisco today. Only NYC and Beverly Hills carry the makeup line plus online. I dont like buying online, because I need to touch and feel the colors. Those duo sets look yum. Very 80’s looking cases…but I like that style.

Ginny Avatar

Mine is probably MAC, too, because I have so many of their lipsticks. But I also have a lot of L’oreal, because every time I go to the drugstore I get one “fun” thing. Love L’oreal. Lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, nail polish, great stuff.

Andrea Avatar

Nars… Though I have a love and hate relationship with the brand, but yeah, the other day I noticed I have a lot of Nars stuff. It used to be all Mac and Shiseido, but grew out of it and gave it all away and started from scratch all over again.

renee Avatar

For the longest time I was a MAC girl… so I still have A LOT of MAC. But, I find that I’m slowly growing out of it. I have moved on to other brands and trying new things… So after MAC I’d say is Guerlain then Chanel then I have a little sprinkle of Nars, Urban Decay, Lancome, Benefit, MUFE and a few drug store staples from L’oreal and Revlon that I keep repurchasing becuase I’ve loved them since my teens and are still hard to beat.

Jessica Avatar

Wow, this is tough—I guess I’m not that brand-loyal! I think it really depends on the product, since some brands really nail a particular thing. As far as lipstick goes (my personal obsession), Tarte and MAC win. With blush, it’s NARS. Eye shadow, it’s Urban Decay. And so on.

SheDaisy Avatar

I would say Urban Decay – the original Naked palette is out on my vanity. I receive samples of their lipsticks, eyeliners, and mascaras in my beauty boxes. Plus my friend got me the Flushed trio for my birthday. And I have a couple smaller palettes that I got on a whim, but never reach for (Mariposa and Skull). I tend to go to Maybelline a lot more often though for their cream shadows, mascara and gel liner.

Christina D. Avatar

I would have to say that it’s the brand the rekindled my passion for prestige cosmetics: Urban Decay. Too Faced is probably a close second, and Marc Jacobs Beauty is catching up, too!

Ami S. Avatar

Definitely NARS. Everything about the brand appeals to me. It’s sleek and sexy and you can really discern the high quality of their products. It’s a high-end brand that makes me feel like I am getting my money’s worth.

Lulle Avatar

Hmm that’s a good question – I have absolutely no idea! I have a large stash, I would say over 100 products of each category (lips, eyes, face…) and pretty spread out across brands I think. I have quite a bit of Dior and Guerlain, but also Kiko, Clinique. No brand really dominates.

MELISSA R C Avatar

MAC is the most represented brand in my make up stash, based on eyeshadow alone. The close second is Chanel based on makeup and skin care products.

xamyx Avatar

It really depends on the product, but I rarely stray from NARS, UD, Kat von D, and tarte for eyeshadows, L’Oréal for eyeliner & mascara, and L’Oréal or Revlon for lip products. I do have other brands, but these are the ones I love most in terms of shades & quality.

Laurica Avatar

In terms of lip product, MAC is the most represented in my collection. i have 2 cigar boxes of MAC lipsticks; I have to spend sometime throwing a few out with Fall around the corner. In terms of eye products, specifically eyeshadows and liners, Urban Decay is the second most represented in my collection.

kellly Avatar

I think mine is either L’oreal or Maybelline just because of my budget. I have other stuff too but those seem to be the things I can buy on a whim and not have to be eating ramen noodles for a month!

Anne Avatar

For me, it would be easier to name the lines I don’t buy from. How about this for a future question: Which line do you never seem to find a product you really like and why?

Carla Avatar

My lipsticks and blushes, as well as many eye shadows, are predominantly MAC.
However, I stopped cold-turkey buying MAC a couple of years ago, when they lost their cruelty-free status.
These days, my favorite brands are Clarins, Inglot, Face Stockholm, Illamasqua, Milani, and Tarte.

Medusa Avatar

Lancôme! I have been a beauty advisor for Lancôme for four years so of course they dominate my stash. The rest is a balanced mix of Urban Decay, Nars, Lorac and Mac. I just got my Tom Ford Mude Dip and Negligee lipstick this week and the quality is so good that I hope to add more Tom Ford to my collection!

Denise Avatar

I’d say Guerlain and YSL are what I have a healthy amount of, followed by a smattering of Chanel, Nars, Bobbi Brown with a pinch of Givenchy, Laura Mercier, Chantecaille , Cle de Peau and Urban Decay thrown in to the mix. Thinking about it, I really must have a bit of a clear out……

Maggie Avatar

Most likely Urban Decay–I LOVE their eyeshadows!!! But shadows and liners are mainly what I buy from them–and what I enjoy buying the most. All other products I buy are scattered amongst other brands.

Tangie W Avatar

Mac and Nars are neck and neck for sure.. I have ventured into the higher brands this year tho so Burberry, Chanel, dior and hourglass are slowly coming up the food chain LOL. And hello Gucci I pre ordered a few things on Saks website so we’ll see how things work..!!!

Nikky Avatar

Urban Decay for sure. Eyeshadow, eyeliners, palettes, lipstick, foundation, UD definitely makes up a large part of my stash. There’s quite a bit of Nyx and Maybelline as well.

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

I would have to say my two major brands are Urban Decay for eyes and lips. For face, I use more Laura Mercier. That said, my stash is large and includes many other brands including Guerlain, Givenchy, and Nars. I will play with almost anything.

Deborah Avatar

MAC – because when I like a product I buy at least two extras! Then Chanel because of their blushes but MAC is surpassing even Chanel in my opinion!

Chelsea Avatar

You know, I don’t have any brand that dominates my collection or is clearly the most represented at all. I don’t have any one brand that sticks out. For my everyday makeup, almost everything is a different brand.

Cat Avatar

My makeup collection is all over the board. If I counted every individual purchase, then Urban Decay would take first place simply because they create the best eye products. Coming in second… are actually three brands; Too Faced, MUFE, and Fyrinnae. I recently had to purchase a storage system just for my growing collection of loose pigments. My husband recently asked, “Don’t you have all the colors now”? Men just don’t understand! =)

Christy Avatar

I’m a Rouge Bunny Rouge junkie–lots of eyeshadows, 2 blushes, face primer, liquid bronzer, 3 lipsticks, a lip gloss & a mascara. Need to try their foundation next!

Natalia Avatar

It’s MAC hands down and this is not just (although to some extent it is:) ) brand loyalty. I cannot afford not being able to try a product before I buy it, since you do not have the luxury of being able to return it if you are not happy with it. MAC is the only store here that lets you try everything, even apply it for you. What is more, the testers the multibrand stores ususally look soo unhygienic and SAs are never able to tell you more about products you’re interested in and rarely can recommend smth that will suit your skin, coloring. Unlike MAC, they make you do all the work there.

Another important reason I guess is that, despite MAC being seeeeriously overpriced here, it still comes out cheaper than the brands like MUFE, let alone Chanel and the like.

Judy H. Avatar

Surprisingly, my makeup is well dispersed among many different lines. I honestly cannot say there is a larger amount of one than another. I have 8 lipsticks, each of them a different brand!

Helene Avatar

I have a lot of brands represented in my stash. I am sure MAC is the most represented one though. So many fun collections, their permanent range is good as well.
I do have quite a lot of Dior, they make some LE I really can’t not buy when I see it. Mostly their Christmas collections.
I also have quite a lot of eyeshadows from Makeup Store, but I hardly use them as I haven’t figured out how to depot them, and I dislike searching all the singles, just to find the one I look for after having looked att all the others.
I’m sort of off buying drugstore brands, except for a few tested and trusted things, as the drugstore brands are quite expensive, they have become increasingly more expensive. It’s not that much of a stretch going to MAC, actually.

Candice Avatar

I still have yet to get any MAC in my stash – there’s too much to choose from!!
I think the one I have most is NYX (about 10 products). I guess with all the brands to choose from, when one company has about 10% of my stash, it’s quite a lot!

Leslie Avatar

Definitely Chanel….lipsticks, several Glossimer lip glosses (Constellation is my favorite and I’ve repurchased 3 times), blush, and eyeshadow quads.

JG Avatar

Last time I counted, Urban Decay by a landslide… I’m obsessed with their eyeliners and lipsticks, and have some palettes as well. Next up is tarte, mostly because my staples (foundation, powder, neutral liners, etc) are from there. 🙂

Sophia B. Avatar

Hmmm, so interesting! I don’t think there is a clear winner for me, which I’m actually kind of proud of. I enjoy the variety of my collection even though it’s mostly drugstore…But off the top of my head I own make up from revlon, l’oreal, maybelline, milani, wet n’ wild, jordana, nyc, covergirl, elf, nyx, physician’s formula, make up forever, urban decay, stila, bessame cosmetics, lipstick queen, coastal scents, bare minerals, and then a bunch of random ones from subscription services like michelle phan’s line, be a bombshell, j. cat, pacifica, tarte, tarinia tarantino. I think that this is a longwinded way of getting to the same point as Audrey! Probably Revlon because I own quite a few of their creme super lustrous lipsticks! 🙂
