Maybe a pearly gunmetal-like color that wasn’t actually glossy or metallic so that it wouldn’t hold fingerprints.

I’d want it pretty but not over the top, perhaps in the vein of Guerlain 6-color eye palettes with the filigree. Alternatively, I’d want the packaging to be adorned with my artwork, in the Shu Uemura special edition style. Or maybe combine the two and have a the artwork on the box/pouch only. <3
I have absolutely no idea!
Satin or matte black, sleek & minimal, maybe deep red rhinestone accents.
Augh! Something with those water droplets on it like MAC had for the Alluring Aquatic collection! I really loved that packaging (although the shape of MAC lipstick cases always make me think of graphite coloured tampons, so that part I’d pass on, LOL!…)
Probably purple would be involved, maybe a deep violet in both brushed satin metallic versions and dropleted versions?
Not so much the design of the packaging, but I’d start a line of smaller sized cosmetics…especially mascara, lip and cream products. So that users would have a better chance of using stuff up before it expires or becomes unsafe to use. I really wish a company would do this!
Yes, my thoughts exactly! Excellent quality and small at a fair price. Maybe packaged in eco-friendly material like Karen Murrell lipsticks. Or cardboard ones like the Balm/Benefit, etc. Since the makeup will be used up quickly anyway, no point in having packaging which last a lifetime or more.
I love like luxury gold packaging: thinl YSL and Charlotte Tilbury, but at the same time I adooore Too Faced’s cute packaging and Etude House! So probably gold packaging with details in pastel colours, lile pink, blue lilac etc! Also it would of course be sturdy plastic or in some cases metallic, and frosted glass for foundations! Plastic packaging with a cheap feeling is a big no no!
I’d also like to have imprints on powders for example!
I´m not sure whether I would go for a total kitsch, vintagy feeling packaging with a 50s charme like theBalm or Benefit or totally sleek packaging like Givenchy… i like both 😀
My imaginary makeup line would be sleek & sexy, stays clean and easy to open/close. No fingerprints allowed. No breaking a nail to open a compact.
I know what it wouldn’t be and that’s NARS! I hate that packaging so much, I refuse to purchase anything more from them, even though I love the majority of their products. Mine look horrible after just a few uses. And for those prices, it’s just unacceptable to me.
Something sleek and clean, maybe in matte black?
Brushed gunmetal. It would be sturdy, fingerprint-proof and easy to keep clean.
Also, completely flat for ease of storage.
Matte white, with very thin packaging (no “brush” sections as well); and deep brown wooded accents, with a golden metal (thinking of lipsticks)
Meh, sturdy plastic that can be dropped without shattering and in colors that match the product.
My packaging would be less about luxury and more about streamlined organization.–can you tell my stash is in a state of upheaval again..urgh.. Anyway, I absolutely love the look of frosted white lucite.
Fingerprint proof, heavy to the hand, sleek and sturdy. No weird design or anything.
I love Urban Decays packaging! Everything would be very secure so nothing would explode in my purse.
I’d love to create a line with packaging similar to YSL or the RiRi Hearts MAC fall collection. I just love gold! It looks so pretty and luxe
Oooh. That’s a toughly. Part of me wants something heavy and metallic but I’d want the line to be affordable as well. Maybe a heavy duty plastic. Color scheme would be gold and black for sure! 🙂
I love matte packaging from companies like Sleek and the rubberized ones from NARS so I think I would have it a rubberized blood red packaging with matte raised golden-beige roses print and stag antlers incorporated into the logo (which would be all golden-beige).
Thanks for using my question! Just to give my two cents, I love the Michael Kors style watches, so I’ve always imagined rose gold with tortoiseshell accents.
I think you’re right on the money with a brushed metallic that wont hold finger prints!
I think some sort of rubberized packaging with a glossy finish to avoid fingerprints, with burgundy and rose gold stripes across the whole thing.
Matte, gunmetal and rose gold, with magnetic closures. No clear plastic. Hate how makeup builds up on that stuff.
I would want glittery ruby packaging that was soft picture like a sparkley red nail polish color on a mac bullet ❤️ Omg I’d love that and maybe some white packaging with little music notes on it gorgeous
Something simple, sleek, sexy, sophisticated like Burberry just without the check pattern..LOL. For obvious reasons ..
fingerprint proof brushed nickel
A satin or matte charcoal. The compacts and lipstick tubes would be very sleek and modern. No extra packaging. And strong magnetic closures. I would go toward no fragrance or very light vanilla but the lipsticks and glosses would not have taste.
.
I’d want my skin care line to be elegant, so I’d use white and gold packaging with black accents. The creams would all be in tubes, not jars, to avoid contamination and the “top of the line” products would have christal bling on the letters in the name of the products. Not telling the name, ha, ha, ha.
I would want the packaging unique and identifiable. Super luxurious, heavy in the hand, with a sophisticated design, fingerprint print proof and scratch-resistant (no, I have no idea what material checks all those boxes). MOST important of all, refillable (and de-pot-able) across the entire line, except eyeliner, lipgloss and mascara — but even those might have a filagree sheath, that you could move to the item of the day. I would also want labels on the back that would give you a clear indication of the colors inside, i.e., Bareminerals eyeshadows. And lastly, names, no numbers.
Wow, you’d think I’d been thinking about this for more than 3 minutes!
Shiny sleek red .Impact resistant. I notice I can easily find the aqua colored products from MAC’s alluring mermaid collection.Bright colors stand out in a sea of dark packaging.
Rich, royal purple letters in gold, but thin, lables on the back with names and so in in a text one can read, Rather heavy, mirrors inside, no applicators of any kind. Magnetic closures.
Sleek and flat.
It would be colorful, ombre, and mirrored.
I’d do something like the rich, velvety effect on MAC’s Viva Glam Rihanna lipsticks, but in a different color. Probably a purple.
Luxury rosé gold packaging with fancy spikes, something between Givenchy and the Kat Von D Studded Kiss but in rosé gold color..
The compacts would be like YSL one, but in rosé gold with some spikes too.
I’d love a heavy plastic in deep, cherry red with a lot of glitter in it (not on top of it, but in the red plastic). Some kind of curlicue design on it in glossy black with metallic gold lettering.
Glitter lucite, that’s what it is.
