OCC Technopagan Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “blackened purple with blue pearl.” It’s a brightened, violet purple with cool, blue undertones and blue micro-shimmer for a more metallic finish–it seems finer than a typical metallic finish but more shimmery than mere pearl. It had some visible brush strokes, unfortunately, though it was very pigmented. The consistency was slightly thick. I typically get a week of wear with minor tip wear (but no chipping) with OCC’s formula. Anna Sui Minnie Mouse Midnight Purple (200) (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Zoya Neve (P, $9.00) is darker. Guerlain Riviera (LE, $23.00) is similar. SpaRitual Blue Moon (LE, $10.00) is less shimmery, darker, bluer. China Glaze Want My Bawdy (LE, $7.50) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

OCC Poison Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “shimmer ivy green.” It’s a smoky, neutral-to-cool-toned green with threads of fine, green metallic shimmer running through it. The color was fully opaque after two coats (almost in one), and there were almost no visible brush strokes with this shade. Zoya Cassedy (P, $9.00) is more sparkly. NARS Night Porter (LE, $20.00) is brighter, less metallic. Chanel Black Pearl (LE, $27.00) is bluer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

OCC Distortion Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “deep shimmering navy.” It’s a blackened navy blue with lighter navy blue metallic shimmer. It was fully opaque after two coats, though it was almost pigmented enough to be a one-coater. There were almost no visible brush strokes in the resulting finish once it dried down. The formula wasn’t too thick or too thin. NARS Night Flight (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery. Color Club First Looks (P) is more complex. China Glaze Little Drummer Boy (LE, $7.50) is less glossy. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

These launch online August 5th and will be in select stores on September 19th.

I was reallllllyy hoping Technopagan was going to be as impressive on nails as it was on lips, but I find the Lip Tar to look better (even in terms of application). Obviously, polish is just easier for all to wear, so it would have been cool to grab it for those who didn’t want to wear it on lips!

I was hoping that Technopagan would have the brightness of the lip color, though it’s still rather pretty and I may end up picking it up anyway.

The stand out for me is Poison. Though I don’t need it (I have a bottle and a half of Black Pearl), it’s definitely one of the better Black Pearl dupes out there, and at a 1/3 of the price, it’s a steal!

Oh I need need need Distortion! It’s sad that Technopagan was less wonderful but I might just grab it anyway because of the color and the name.

I’ve gotten super into greyish nail polishes and I’ve always loved my greens,so Poison is like, well poison for my wallet.
Technopagan is really pretty too.

Funnily enough, Poison is my favourite out of these! Technopagan is pretty, but I actually feel that as a polish, it’s more dupeable than not. Part of the attraction of the Technopagan Lip Tar is that it’s so hard to find a lipstick of that colour, in that quality and opacity! Electric blurple is actually pretty common in one form or another in polish (I feel) 🙂

I love the looks of all three. In the bottle, I like Distortion best, but looking at your nails, I think Technopagan wins out. Funny how that happens! I’m not sure that I love them enough to seek them out, but if I see them on my next trip to Sephora I can’t guarantee that Technopagan won’t make its way in my bag. After looking at this, I feel the need to change my polish today. Thanks for the inspiration!

Pity about Technopagan being a lot less impressive than the lip tar. you don’t wear a topcoat swatching nailpolishes, do you? I love the colour of Poison and but it’s a bit flat, not sure I make myself clear. Distortion has more depth, I think. I was thinking maybe Poison might appear deeper with a top coat. That said, I love Distortion.
I don’t think I’ll be able to get any of them, as there’s restrictions to mailing nail polishes these days. Very annoying 🙁
