The Naked and Naked 2 palettes from Urban Decay. When I hit pan I’m getting backups!

I wish UD still made single blush pot. I still have one in Quickie and I love it…

I’ve been hoarding Wet N Wild’s Mega Last Lipstick in Ravin Raisin in fear that they might discontinue it. It is the only “my lips, but better” shade that suits my dark skin.

Guerlain’s Lingerie de Peau foundation. From what I’ve seen there is nothing else out there that is at all similar – that lightweight and great coverage and silky smooth – it has it all!! Christine if you ever hear that it is being discontinued, please let us know so that I can cash out some RRSP’s and buy up the entire stock LOL!!

Burts Bee’s Lip Balm. Couldn’t live without it.

Also Trish McEnvoy tinted moisturizer. I tried a sample and it’s amazing and my HG foundation (it covered my undereye circles!) But I’m a student with absolutely no means or justification for a $75 foundation. So it better stick around until I’m done with grad school and have a for-real-sie job.

Loreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner. I am very bad at putting on liquid liner, unless I use this product; I can make an expert cat eye like nobodies business! Also, I like the semi-matte finish of this, the easy to use formula and brush, which washes off with water but doesn’t smudge at all throughout the day. Plus, I love the price, it’s way cheaper than the Lancôme version!

Nars sheer glow in Cadiz.Perfect match for me.I cant think of another long expensive depression filled journey to find THE ONE perfect foundation if this gets discontinued.

Alla Avatar

Came here to say that everything else in the world can get discontinued, I’d survive the disappointment, but Nars needs to continue making this. I don’t even know what I’d wear instead because it’s my perfect base!

Laura Avatar

Laura Mercier radiance foundation primer…nothing else makes my foundation “stick” as well (I have crazy ridiculous oily skin that makes foundation slide off) while not breaking me out.

Krista Avatar

Physician’s Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Foundation love this stuff and only foundation I’ve found that doesn’t break me out!

I thought that was DC’d a while back… I picked one up on clearance a few years ago, and haven’t seen it anywhere since. I absolutely agree, though! I love everything from the producy, the packaging, and the color.

Ardency Inn Americana Custom Color Concentrate! This is the most versatile product I own, and I can literally customize *any* product, including sunscreen, and make it suitable for any situation. Now, if they made a few more shades, it would be HG-Light Beige has the right undertone, but is a bit dark, and the lighter shadea aren’t neutral enough…

LEs in general confuse and annoy me. I realize that brands can’t offer all their permanent and LE items at the same time, but I don’t understand why brands don’t phase out low-selling permanent items in favour of popular LE ones (thinking of the 10 or so Mac frost lipsticks that never seem to sell and always look pristine at the counter because they don’t get swatched), or repromote some of the more popular LE stuff once a year or so. Mac is going in the right direction when they repromote lipsticks/eye shadows people have voted on; I just wish more companies would do the same. I think the only people really benefitting from the LE system now are those who want to resell stuff online.

I was thinking of Maybelline, as well. By the time I finally foumd the nude Color Tattoos, the display was just about empty, yet no matter what store I go to, in several different cities, the permanent shades are all fully stocked! It would be nice to see some of the basic shades sold full-time, and bring in the colors seasonally.

Also, what’s up with brands (MAC & Chanel, for example) putting out contour products as LE? Don’t they realize those of us who use them will want to repurchase?

Alla Avatar

I’ve given up on even looking for the LE color tattoos because it seems like each store gets exactly 2 in each shade so I would have to stalk the drugstore displays if I wanted even a chance of getting them.
And I totally agree with you on the contour products! I don’t know if Chanel ever brought back the bronzing primer (I stopped looking and settled for the Bourjois version), but I don’t understand why they pulled it in the first place. Contouring may be more or less popular at any given time, but it’s probably going to stick around at least as long as bright pink lipstick, and Mac didn’t delay in making Candy Yum Yum permanent!

Maddie Avatar

Color Tattoos are tricky when they’re LE, sigh. But are you guys talking about the new “leather” ones that came out with the new foundation and the Nudes palette? Because those are going to be permanent! If you mean the Dare To Go Nude Collection ones… Yeah those were a hassle. I did get all the ones I wanted, but only because I stalked all my local CVS/Walgreens twice a day, every day. In any case, there is this website, buymebeauty.com, that carries a good amount of past LE shades, and discounted too! Unlike eBay, where sellers are looking to prey on the cosmetic obsessed… Pricks!

Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin. I use it almost every single day and it looks great with any color or finish of eyeshadow or it can be worn alone with just a little mascara. It’s very close to my skin color, so it just looks like a light shimmery wash. I’ve got through so many tubes! It’s my one truly holy grail product!

Eileen Avatar

I hope Tatcha never discontinues their Camellia Cleansing Oil. It’s simply the best 🙂 When it comes to color cosmetics, I’m always trying new things and movin’ on so there is nothing I’d miss if it ceased to be.

Taylor Avatar

I second that!! The original UDPP used to work for me, but since they changed packaging, my eyelids get oily and my shadow creases. I went through at least 10 primers before I came upon NARS Smudge Proof primer. I was so ecstatic that I emailed the company and thanked them for making that product and to please never discontinue it! It is AMAZING for us girls with oily hooded lids. I recommend it to EVERYONE, and it lasts at least 6 months for me!!

Dior’s Addict Lip Glow. They already discontinued the Rose Diamond powder which just really sucks…that was seriously my favorite highlight/blush/all-over-glow product that is not easily dupeable, and now I don’t want to use it…

I also don’t know what I would do without MAC’s MSF Natural in Light and Hourglass’s Ambient powder in Ethereal Light.

Hi Christine,
I wish that they never discontinue the walnut coffee sculpting cream.
This IS AN Amazing Product.. And the long lasting eyeliner.
Second i wish they could bring in Italy the Tres cheek Collection cause
I absolutely need modern mandarin blush.

Beka Avatar

I would say rouge d’armani but I’ve heard it’s already being discontinued. It’s hands down the best lipstick I’ve tried. For everything else, I’m sure something else will come along.

Lee Avatar

I’m not sure if this would be a beauty product but Sonia Kashuk’s eye makeup remover. It’s a Bifacil dupe but so much cheaper ($10 at Target) and I’ve never found another budget remover that even comes close. I’m already having trouble finding it on the shelves and am worried they might be thinking of pulling. (Everyone go try it so they keep making it!! 🙂 It’s awesome, I swear)

I can’t think of anything else. They discontinued my favorite mascara (Max Factor 2000 Calorie in Auburn) but I still have like 30 tubes (I stocked up on ebay). MAC Rich Ground Fluidline is my HG eyeliner but I coudl probably find another coppery gel liner if I had to.

Cathy Avatar

I have so much makeup, I don’t think any of it will ever run out, lol!, as I change my make-up every day. But I don’t think I’d miss anything. Everything that comes out these days is better. So everything I have would be replaceable with something of better quality.

La Roche Posay Toleriane cleanser. It’s a god-send for dry sensitive skin. It removes all makeup, even mascara and physical sunscreen without scrubbing, burning, pulling etc. My rosacea face loves it. Just splash your face with lukewarm water and massage the cleanser all over for about 40 seconds. Either splash off or use cotton pads or a baby washcloth and glide it along your skin. Everything washes off and you are left perfectly clean, moist and soft without being stripped. It’s like a luxury version of Cetaphil.

I sincerely hope that Revlon never discontinues their Colorstay foundation for combo/oily skin in the shade Ivory 110. I must add in my HG cleanser, Philosophy Purity – I can’t live without it!

Jill Avatar

I agree with you Christine! Love Lust is my go to blush. I would also add my favorite moisturizer, Lancome’s Benefiat Multi Vital SPF 30, Shu Uemura’s ME Medium Brown 856 (I would have said the old MS Silver 945 but it was discontinued), Illamsqua’s Boosh nail polish.

Krista Avatar

Tarte Amazonian clay full coverage foundation. I love the consistency of it and it is the only thing that has worked on my super oily skin..I hope it never goes away
