I have 4 of these and the “gel” part of the formula isn’t clear. They’re just powder shadows, albeit very nice powder shadows.

I have not had a lot of luck with Milani but I must admit that these look tempting. And at the price point why not? Any ideas on what a satin matte is? I don’t fully understand what satin means anyway. What does it mean? Wonder if I’ll be by a CVS or Walgreens today…?

I have 2 of the satin matte shades (Ivory and Cappuccino), and the finish is mostly matte with a very subtle sheen. The sheen on Cappuccino is only really visible in heavy swatches, while Ivory has a very subtle pearl.
The term satin for shadows is generally meant to mean a shadow that is neither sparkly/frosty or matte. It has a sheen, but not as strong as a pearl or metallic shadow would have.

These all look great. i want my hands on all the satin mattes. I wonder if they will be available in Canada? I’ll grab some when I head to Buffalo, NY

So gorgeous!! I know MIlani has a few hit or miss products but their recent products have been pretty good and these look so promising ( and prettttyyy!). Thanks for sharing Christine. Bella Rouge and violet are very tempting. Of course we probably wont get them in Montreal but thankfully I have tons of peeps in the US:)

I’m so here for the ivory or sand, navy or cobalt, and the black and some of the grays. Can’t wait for the reviews 🙂

OH MY GOSH!!! It’s been a while since I got so excited about new releases. These look SO beautiful and Milani formulas tend to be top-notch. Can’t wait to see swatches/reviews! When I walked past the Milani section in CVS yesterday, I thought, hmm I haven’t seen any new products from them recently. I hope we get these in my area (but chances are we won’t – I usually have to order most Milani products online)

These shades really caught my eye.

Bella Ivory (01), Bella Sand (02), Bella Cappuccino (03), Bella Espresso (06), Bella Pink (13), Bella Champagne (16), Bella Teal (21), Bella Gold (22), Bella Copper (23), Bella Bronze (24), Bella Cobalt (25), Bella Fuchsia (26), Bella Mandarin (27), Bella Chiffon (28).

Oh about half of them. 😉

Yay for taupe and the matte grey! I’ve been looking for the latter for awhile, so here’s to hoping it’s good quality. 🙂

I never see the new Milani products, at any of the drugstores that sell their cosmetics, in my travels in the city… the website does not list these for sale either. If anyone lives in the NYC area and has found these shadows or the new baked bronzers that were recently released, please let me know.

Natalie Avatar

Ooh! I like Bella Navy and Bella Taupe! The latter looks almost purple 🙂 oh and this is totally irrevelant but do you own the It Cosmetics Naturaly Pretty Palette? If yes, what do you think of it? Thinking about buying “It” haha bad joke

Helene Avatar

So many nice colours! Purples, pinks and that taupe!
Milani doesn’t ship to Europe. I did fine an online store that carried Milani, but they didn’t have these eye shadows.
Waiting for a review anyway, but so far I’m quite impressed with this range.

I found a display at a Walgreens near me with 12 of these colors. I picked up 8 of them, and they’re really gorgeous–great pigmentation, easily blendable, and just really darn pretty!

My Walgreen’s had a few of these, but not all of them. They look at bit different in person to me. I bought four and liked two and didn’t really like two, but for the price, I can live with that!

I have the Bella Black and Bella White. Overall, its dry to the touch. I was expecting a emollient feeling eye shadow so that surprised me. The color payoff is decent. The Bella Black eye shadow is not pitch black but more of the color of soot from a fireplace- a deep dark grey black . The staying power is about 6 hours- when you layer it with a primer. I dropped the Bella White eye shadow and it crumbled so the packaging is not the greatest but for $3.99-whats a little crumble.

You know what else was supposed to be permanent? The new Milani powder eyeshadows, with that Caramel Brown shade you loved so much, Christine. I never saw a single one. I was so enamoured with your reviews and swatches, and Milani let me down. Couldn’t find them online or in stores, and now they’re discontinued without warning or explanation. They could have made a lot of money off me if they had just made them readily available. 🙁 I hope these new ones have the same awesome quality the last batch did.
