How do you organize your blushes?

How do you organize your blushes? Share!

I have a few of my go-to blushes pulled out and kept in a separate area of “daily makeup” (basics like foundation, black eyeliner, setting powders, etc.). The rest are kept by brand, then by formula/type.

Thanks to Tonnie for today’s question! Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.

It’s a very complex system I have, actually. You see, I have both a pink blush *and* a peach one. So I have to consider the following: do I order by Clinique or Chanel? Do I order by peach or pink? Do I order by cream or powder? Do I put the Clinique Cheek Pop Blush to the right of the Chanel Cream Affinite or the Affinite to the left of the Peach Pop? 😉

One on top of the other.

Blush is the only makeup item I don’t collect whenever possible. I have no idea why — just doesn’t call to me the way eyeliner/eyeshadow/lipstick etc. does. I don’t have a lot of cheek products in general actually, but blush especially gets left out. Poor blush.

My stash is mostly MAC, so like you, I have my go-to blushes in my everyday makeup drawer, and all the remaining ones are organized by color family so it is easier for me to find a specific one based on the look I want.

I only have 4 blushes and a sample so they go in the top drawer of my three-drawer mini makeup tower on my bathroom counter along with other face products (finishing powders, bronzers, concealer). I want more blush, but I just can’t see the nuances apart from the 4 main blush colors.

I organize mine by brand. I try to keep my drugstore blushes together and then the high end ones together. But I think I need to reorganize everything again haha.

Lol, I have 2 blushes, and one’s a mini. They’re in the same drawer with some samples. I have rosacea, adding color to my cheeks is not usually my concern so much as removing it. Although orange blushes do turn wicked cool shades of coral on me.

I separate liquids/creams from powders (mostly because they’re packaged differently), then by brand for the ability to look kind of tidy, and then by color!

I like to rotate my blushes so they all get some love, so right now I have 4 pulled out in my everyday draw and the rest are organized just by brand.

I think I definitely flunk blush organization. I have a few that I am currently using just out on my vanity in a little pile and then the rest of my collection is laid out in a dresser drawer in a single layer (as opposed to heaped together like my poor eyeshadows) so I can see what is what. I do keep products from each brand together in a row. Works for me but I have to remember to go pull out a blush from this stash or else I will just keep on grabbing what ever is on my vanity. I usually keep a peach or coral, a pink or rose, and a neutral dusky one out on this vanity. I am not as good as I should be at changing them out.

I have a natural flush all the time so if I wear a sheer to medium foundation or bb cream I can skip the blush. I used to just put a little Benefit Benetint right over where I’m naturally blushed for when it fades a little during the day. Actually I started wearing foundation for the SPF not the coverage.

My most-used are placed randomly into an organizer however they fit best and stay in my vanity. Then I have my Tarte 12-Hr Blushes lined up in one of those $1 long, rectangular basket organizers. My NARS blushes live together in a small rectangular plastic Sephora makeup pouch, along with NARS eyeshadow duos and singles.
