Not at all! 🙂 Becca has had Beach Tints and Shimmering Skin Perfector LONG before Hourglass existed! All Becca did was create a cream that combines a shimmer color and a liquid beach tint et voila! So if you look into Becca Beach Tints, perhaps you’ll see the greatness, and then choose a Shimmering Skin Perfector that’s best for you, and just blend them instead of biting these! This is nothing like Hourglass! I promise. But you’ll save money buying Beach Tints & Shimmering Skin Perfector separately to create your own custom look! They wear ALL DAY and the little tubes last FOREVER, as does the large bottle of Shimmering Skin Perfecter! Still, Becca made a cool concept for sales, I must say! I hope you give Becca a try, however you choose to do so, after reasearching the products mentioned, and find something you love! (The hourglass ambient blush and powder is an extra nice compliment to the Becca Beach Tints.) XO 🙂 <3 Lotus

Hi Helena! I understand your point of view, but but for me, I’ve been combining Beach Tints and Shimmering Skin Perfecters for a LONG time. And while this is great to reintroduce a marvelous brand, Becca, that I swear by for everything, I can guarantee the performance of these to be overtly better than those of the Ambient Lighting Blushes & Powders, which honestly weren’t ingeniously unique as well due to other people using that same concept for years to create marbling and color that has a photo reflective and scupting natural finish to the face… They just didn’t put it in such expensive packaging, advertise it to oblivion, and add exorbitant prices! It’s all about marketing, I guess. (I’m a sucker) And for those who don’t have all Becca products, these will be such a lovely addition. I surely hope you will try them. They last all day! <3 xo

Again, Becca isn’t JUST releasing these…the technology has been there and coveted by many for years. They have just made the soufflés to hopefully reawaken people to quality I’m an adorable way. 🙂 Who knows where Hourglass got their idea? And the Guerlain Meterorites have been around forever..so you know what I mean? We all need to look beyond the surface. 🙂

I thought the exact same thing… Because the Jill Stuart ones also have a round container with the exact same color lid (although Jill Stuart’s is much more detailed!). I wonder if the texture is going to be the exact same too!

Ditto on this! I’m expecting glitter more than shimmer there in these like the Jill Stuart eye jellies! The souffle texture isn’t anything new.

glad i’m not the only one who thinks they look gross. the darker ones sore of look like festering cold sores. i am interested to see what they look/feel like in real life though.

I have one already… this is definitely an apply with fingers/blend out with fingers or brush kinda thing… the pot is smaller than you think. I love mine and thinking of getting a second one… and the consistency is completely different than the hourglass blushes! hope this helps

Louise Avatar

These look so insanely pretty! They kind of remind me of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes just from appearances, but the formula sounds completely different. I think Fig and Lychee are my favourites 🙂

Cinthia Avatar

Formula is completely different… almost has a squishy feeling when you touch it… more of a cream to powder consistency as opposed to Hourglass which is already powder

ALSO: The effects of these are exactly what you get when using a Beach tint, (Fig, Grapefruit, Watermelon, Guava, Lychee, Papaya, Dragonfruit, or Raspberry), and highlighting with a Perfecting Shimmer! (Pearl, Moonstone, Opal, Topaz) I’m glad I already have these, in that case. Save money if you have combos already! 😀 <3 xoxo

Thanks for sharing your tip Lotus! i do have many of those beach tints. I worry that these shimmer souffles will dry up in the jar eventually lol

Lotus Avatar

Hi Jenni! You’re so welcome! I’m glad it comes in handy for you! Becca is such high quality, formulas executed flawlessly, I doubt these would dry up quickly, though the air exposure does pose a good question! For me, I’m looking around at what I have & all I don’t use yet still want, and I realized that I need to compartmentalize. Realizing exactly what these were was a way to save money on something I already have, tried & true! I hoped by sharing the tip that I could help others save money, too! Thank you for the positive feedback! You’re sweet and kind to share! <3 xo
