Vegas Volt gets the most wear for me, but basically my whole collection is corals! Love NYX’s Femme and Stella and Maybelline’s Shocking Coral for drugstore. I STILL haven’t got the Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Creams I’ve been wanting in Moscato and Crush…but I think that might change today since I just sold a pair of earrings in my etsy shop :p

Dior Aventure Addict Extreme! I’m pretty sure the Fluid Stick version would qualify as well, but I went for an Addict Extreme because that’s one of my favorite formulas 🙂

I immediately bought “Crush” after your review but sadly it was suuuuper dry when I first wore it and it settled into every single line on my lips. 🙁 Don’t know if I just got a bad one but I’m sad because I love the color, just not the formula. I did try it 3 times and every single time I loved the color but hated how cracked it made my lips look! In your pictures, the color is so smooth and shiny and pretty on you. I do exfoliate my lips often and use the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream every night. I wouldn’t say that my lips are perfect but they’re definitely not dry.
It’s interesting because I read that in your experience it took almost 2 hours to matte down, but mine was matte from the moment I put it on. So strange! I will look through the dupes list for other possible replacements 🙂 Going to return it to Sephora this afternoon (love their return policy!).

Oh no, no reason to apologize 🙂 that’s how much I trust your reviews!! I think that I got a bad tube or something. I swatched it on my hand for the Sephora associate (since she was really curious and sad too) and she said, “wow that’s not even creamy~!” We looked at a few other lipsticks for possible dupes, but alas, nothing that made my heart sing like “Crush.”
The store lost their tester tube of Estee Lauder “Defiant Coral” so I couldn’t swatch it, but from your pictures it looks like a pretty good dupe. I might make a trip to the EL counter or just visit a different Sephora to see for myself.
Yay for spring/summer~ time for all the corals!!! (although honestly, I’m happy to rock corals all year long!)

Another reader commented about the formula seeming off -- almost... chunky? which makes me wonder if the formula is prone to drying out (kind of like a mascara).
I love Maybelline Shocking Coral! Such a fantastic formula for that whole range. I also really like OCC’s Electric Grandma. God I love lip tars.
The Vivids formula is a staple!

Sleek’s Papaya Punch – a gorgeous bright matte coral (and one of the first lipsticks I bought). I mostly tone it down with a more muted orangy coral on top, and then as summer draws nearer wear it on its own!

Milani Flamingo Pose is my favorite coral at the moment! I tried Shocking Coral recently, but my lips pull everything cooler and darker, so it just looked like a cool-toned fuchsia on me. Disappointing!

I like your choices! I’m surprised you didn’t include the corals in the YSL Rouge Volupte line. Aren’t they your HG? I really liked the new Chanel’s on you as well! How to choose… Do you find the Dior one that’s like the Rouge Volupte Pur Shine gloss to be really similar or better, or worse? I’ve been quite curious! 🙂 xo!

I just bought Estée Lauder’s Defiant Coral today and wore it home (I couldn’t help it). I also love Mac’s Mineralized lippie in Style Surge. Beautiful and non drying. Another nice coral is Nars satin lip pencil in Isola Bella.

Great post, and great reminder – I have Maybelline “Shocking Coral” but haven’t worn it yet! It seems I keep buying coral lipsticks, BUT I’m having a hard time finding a great pigmented coral lipliner, any suggestions? I see you reviewed MAC’s “Lasting Sensation” – I may have to check it out!
