I’m glad I ordered the Laura Mercier Peach Shimmer Bloc at a few cents less somewhere else so that I’m not absolutely gutted to see it reduced now, because I truly hate when that happens. I just bought some work jackets at full price $$$ and was told that there was no discount and the next week they were giving discounts for spending certain amounts, grrr!
I’ml excited for everyone who can get some of their wish list items reduced because it seems like such a rare occurrence.

I bought Makeup at Harrods at 10% off in Sept. 2014.
I bought 3 Sisley eye cream, Guerlain Wu long Meteorite, and Dior 2013 compact powder not sold in the USA . Even with the $25 shipping it was cheaper than buying in the US. And the was not customs charges either.
Bought it there originally becuz go the Guerlain compact giving that is an old item. I hope Harrods repeats this again.
In any case, I think this is a marketing test following the likes of Sephora and Ulta.

They had reduced prices like this late last year too, I think. It’s great because I don’t think I ever see prices reduced on these beauty brands anywhere else.
It’s definitely not bad! I mean, Sephora’s 15% is more, and Beauty.com does 20% twice a year, I think… but 10% covers tax, which is more than we get for most of the year, lol! It sounds like in-store was better, as one reader mentioned every brand was 10% off except MAC.
Ugh, nordstrom would tempt me if their worldwide shipping charges weren’t so crazy. A $36 product was for a $100 after taxes and shipping.

No, I’m in asia 🙁 In my country there are only a few high end brands available and barely any shipping options. I have to make do with a facebook page that takes my orders and ships them through a contact in the US.

We really only have MAC here but there is the option of using a shipping company with a US skybox so you end up paying $5 to $12 USD for shipping on cosmetics depending on the weight, customs charges, fuel surcharge etc. The exchange rate is $6.5 to $1USD but it can still be such a convenience!
I wish you could have access to something like that, it’s not the same as being able to go and see the items and swatch them but it works out ok.

I stumbled upon this sale by accident yesterday morning! It was good timing because I had some Nordstrom notes to use and I didn’t buy anything during the Sephora VIB sale (that was a first!). I went a little crazy! Can’t wait to get my haul in the mail this week.
