NYX Powder Blush Photos & Swatches (Part 1)
NYX Powder Blush ($5.99 for 0. oz.) comes in 27 shades (at least, that’s what I counted on their website), and I recently purchased 12 shades to swatch and (possibly) review. Not sure when/if I’ll have a chance to review all of them, but I know I’ll have a few reviews, at least. I can, however, promise you photos and swatches. 🙂 You’ll also find these have been added to the Swatch Gallery/The Dupe List features! Now, let’s take a look at the first six…
Apricot is described as a “pink peach with gold shimmer.” It’s a warm-toned, medium-dark pink coral with a satin finish. The gold shimmer is very subtle in this shade. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Summer Peach is described as a “peachy pink with gold reflects.” It’s a medium-dark, pink-coral with a semi-matte finish. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Pinched is described as a “coral pink with gold iridescence.” It’s a medium-dark, pink-coral with a soft golden shimmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Peach is described as a “matte baby pink.” It’s a medium-dark, subtly warm-toned pink with a satin-matte finish. (Why is it called PEACH!) See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Cinnamon is described as a “matte bright orange.” It’s a medium-dark, red-toned orange with a satin finish. I wouldn’t call it matte, as when it blends out, it develops a soft sheen–subtle but there. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Rose Garden is described as a “pink with gold reflects.” It’s a medium, subtly cool-toned pink with a satin finish. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
What’s Swatch Saturday? I can’t always review products with full, in-depth reviews, but sometimes, I can at least give you photos and swatches, and then also provide a link to dupes and comparisons for those interested! This also helps us to build up our Swatch Gallery and add even more entries to The Dupe List, which can be helpful to readers at any point.

All of them look so pretty! And I lol’d at “WHY IS IT CALLED PEACH”
It’s so weird to have more basic shades and then have them be sooo unlike what you’d expect!
Apricot really caught my eye here. They’re all so pretty!
They are!
I LOOOOVE NYX! I own only Cinnamon from the bunch, and it’s absolutely gorgeous! I definitely want to pick up more! 🙂
Do you like to use a highlighter with Cinnamon or do you wear it alone usually?
(Why is it called PEACH!)
haha..NYX and their silly, misleading shade name. 😀
lets not forget the mega shine lip gloss named Beige, when it is not at all beige in color,it is a pink shade lipgloss!
-please excuse my English.
Right? I have no idea who named that one!
I really love this colors!
Yay!!
I have Cinnamon and I love it! their blushes are really great. I want to try taupe next as a contour color
Nice! What do you like to pair with Cinnamon?
I have summer peach and pinched, although I love the formula of both, the colors are almost to similar… I really want to pick up a more berry toned shade 🙂
They are surprisingly similar!
They all look to be of pretty decent quality, especially for 5$! May have to hunt some of them down! I like cinnamon and apricot!
Just realized how excited i sounded, yay for cheap blushes haha
Definitely worth checking out if you can find ’em!
Is it greedy to want them ALL? 🙂
Nah 😉
I think I need Summer Peach! I own Peach and I always wondered why it was called Peach when it was clearly pink!
Right? It’s like, wait… what!
It seems like the descriptions for Apricot and Summer Peach are the exact same just worded differently:) Apricot looks a tinge more peachy though.
They’re very similar, but I promise you that the descriptions were unique in the sense that I didn’t just make a copying and pasting error 🙂
I am so thrilled to see these photos – I was about to purchase some new NYX blushes as they are just amazing! Would love to see more shades swatched Christine – thank you!
What are your favorite NYX blushes?
Hm, if you presented me with all of these and said’ choose one’, I’d actually have a really hard time! They all look so lovely 🙂 I’d love to hear your review of them, if you get the chance!
Hopefully I can 🙂
Thank you for doing this post! I know you’re super busy.
Even w/o your reviews, your HQ swatch photos are soooo helpful! ^-^
Pinched is a lovely color! <3
Glad the photos help!
I have to second that. The quality of your swatches are so helpful. With nyx’s “oh so creative ” naming system these swatches will help so many of us. I bought most of my nyx blushes online and had a challenging time deciding. Out of this bunch I have Pinched(one of my favs),Summer Peach (a lil light for my skintone), and Rose Garden (which I was expecting to be more rosy than pink). I don’t have Cinnamon but I now see why so many ladies refer to it as a dupe for Nars Taj Mahal. Hmm. lol. Thanks for the enabling!
Thank you so much! 🙂
WOW stunning shades dear loved all the shades especially Apricot one…<3
YAY!
Hi, I’m in a huge dilemma because I can pick which one is best from Natural, Dusty Rose, Rose Garden and Peach. Which one is best for matte cool-toned pink?
Dusty Rose is cooler than Rose Garden and Peach. Not sure that I have Natural (it’s not ringing any bells)! You might try Desert Rose or Bourgeois Pig.
I love Pinched! I picked it up just because I was curious to see if its a dupe for NARS Orgasm (which it isn’t as it turned out!). I have Rose Garden and Summer Peach as well – both are on the sheerer side but beautiful colors for spring/summer!
I’ve heard that Pinched is a dupe for Orgasm as well, but I think it is a darker shade with wayyy less of the gold shimmer that Orgasm has. It’s more like a darker, less shimmery version of Orgasm IMO!
I love these NYX blushes, they are so nice!
Have you tried any yourself?
I just love the look of these – so pretty! Loved the post x
Thanks!
I must have these! Nyx has amazing products for such a wonderful price! Thanks for sharing this, I can’t wait to try them out! 🙂
No problem, Teresa!
Yay for NYX reviews!! I hope to see more in the future 🙂 I have a bunch of these, but ill definitely be keeping an eye out for Summer Peach and Cinnamon (they look perfect for summer!).
What are your favorite NYX blushes?
Loooove this blushes!!!! My favorite is Mocha, a beautiful rosey matte shade. It’s by far my most used blush. And I have a ton!!! even high end ones. Love Spice too, a more subdued shade. I use it all the time when I’m not wearing Mocha.
So glad you shared your personal faves, Astrild!
I definitely need to expand my blush collection, and I think these are an affordable way to do it!
Yes, definitely! 😀
I’ve read that Cinnamon was a good alternative to Taj Mahal but they don’t seem that similar.
The Summer Peach and Peach (pink lol) shades are really pretty!
Definitely wouldn’t say they’re dupes myself–lacks the shimmer of Taj Mahal! If anything, it would be closer to Exhibit A (but it’s a lot less red, IMO).
Cinnamon is my most used NYX blush! I think Apricot is going to be my next NYX purchase. I have been considering it for a while, but your swatch sold me on it.
What do you like to pair Cinnamon with?
Those look lovely!
Any favorites?
I have it dusty rose and i really like their formula.
I am eyeing cinammon next and may be rose garden too.. though peach isnt peach at all.. 😉
LOL! Peach is soooo not peach!
Out of these I only haVe “peach” but apricot will have to be mine once my no buy is over. Other than that the only nyx powder blush I own is desert rose which is a little strong for my fair complexion but still usable.
Apricot seems to be a popular pick! 🙂
I kinda want them all…
Good thing they’re affordable!
I’ve noticed NYX blushes really have their labels mixed up. My Peach blush looks a lot peachier than what you have here. And my Dusty Rose looks nothing like what you posted. I’ve even stood in the store and held two Dusty Rose blushes side-by-side and anyone can see one is a lot deeper and cooler-toned. o_O (Even the bf agreed, and he typically doesn’t notice.) It’s a shame as I really love the color selection and quality for the price. I’ve just learned to not order any online anymore =/
Wow! That’s crazy. I haven’t heard about that happening before. Thanks for letting us know, Nickie!
