I’ve been using the Unzipped, and I really love it. I think you should get it!! I thought I wouldn’t need it since I have the UD Naked 3, but Unzipped is a lot warmer. LORAC shadows are always a win for me 🙂

☼ Haul: NARS matte multiples in Altai and Laos. I grabbed them on the cheap from evilbay and I freaking love them. I read a few people didn’t care for the texture, but for me, they really work. I tend to pare down my makeup into spring/summer and opt for a more natural and slightly dewy look which is why I wanted to give these a go. I used a small stippling brush to work the two as a combo on cheeks with Altai acting as a contour underneath Laos..totally gorgeous.
☼ Weekend plans: Spring Clean-up. The last vestiges of snow are finally disappearing. I hate this time of year until the grass and trees start to green up. Everything looks so drab.

Subject: Dude! English, especially English Lit. (HS and college), all my AP Honors classes, and AP Creative Writing (my HS teacher was da bomb!). History, pretty much every class I took, but especially European History and Latin American Studies (college teacher was hilarious). AP Biology was great, the teacher didn’t treat us like morons and how can I forget the mushroom party at the end of the year! AP Spanish 1-3 with Señorita Mora. I miss her, she left us for a man, we joked it was Ricky Martin. How very wrong we were. 😛

Woohoo! I’m so happy Hourglass re-released it and made it permanent.
I know I said I was on a spending ban, BUT! $6 in CVS ExtraBucks is NOT MY MONEY, so I got Milani Lip Intense Liquid Lip Colour in Violet Addict and the Color Statement lipstick in Rose Amour since my store finally had that shade. It was buy one get one 50% and somebody gave me $4 so I got them, hahaha. Not my money = not breaking my money spending ban.
Weekend plans are still recovering from surgery. It went well. No pain for the most part. Having a makeup gig for two hours on Wednesday (recovery was 48 hours so far) triggered some pain, but… it was worth it lol. But yeah, gonna spend this weekend doing more recovery. I’m over it now lol

I was really excited about the latter because it was on my wishlist; apparently, my coworker received it in a gift box and, not being a red lipstick person, gave it to me. I don’t know whether to find it hilarious or sad that I’ve built up the reputation in my department as the person everyone should come to for cosmetic needs. 😛
Weekend Plans: Hair cut, vacation planning, finishing local taxes (procrastination!), and attending a comic book emporium with a friend.
Favorite subject in school? Well, I hated high school, but I loved college. Strangely enough, despite writing and reading being my greatest strength, I really enjoyed trignometry and calculus!
What did you love most about college?
Less authoritarian, more freedom to schedule as needed, more focus on personal interests and disciplines, and to be blunt, the escape from the utterly toxic bullying culture that existed at my high school. (I wish I was joking, but the school had actually gained a reputation for how poorly the administration deals with it.) In general, I just generally enjoy learning and going to class – I just like doing it with other *adults.* If I was a rich schmuck, I’d be one of those lifetime students. 😛
One of the best parts about college was being able to schedule all my classes Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and have a four-day weekend every weekend, LOL.
I was very, very lucky to go to an atypical high school, though I enjoyed college a lot more than high school as well!

Haul: Got rematched for UD Naked Foundation, so bought that. I also needed a new eyeshadow primer so gave NARS Pro Prime a go. I’ve used UDPP Eden for the longest time but I don’t always want full matte eyelids! And every other primer I’ve tried failed at preventing creasing. So far I love the NARS though!
Weekend plans: It’s my BDay next Tuesday… AND I have a Anatomy and Phys test that morning. So having a cookout this weekend instead! At least we’re FINALLY getting nice weather here in Boston.

How do you keep your rugs so clean with a dog in the house? I’m impressed!
He’s not too messy – really the only time he’s messy is if he’s eaten something he was supposed to/is sick. I highly, highly recommend getting a carpet cleaner (we have the Hoover SteamVac) if you have a messy dog/accident-prone dog. I used to use spot cleaners and paper towels, but it’s a lot faster and more thorough to just get the big ol’ vacuum out to do it – because it gets up everything. We don’t let him play in mud or anything like that, so we don’t get muddied paws in the house (though we have tile downstairs, which helps when it is rainy!).
Awww! Mellan, I totally understand. Cuddly toys and naptime are two things that should never really leave your life (although you can end up making a slight transition from ‘cuddly toys’ to ‘husband/partner’ ;-))

Laura Mercier OF Tinted Moisturizer, Clarisonic Deep Pore Brush Head, 2 Nars Radiant Creamy Concealers in ‘Amande’, an Hourglass Ambient Blush in Mood Exposure, a Sephora Formula X Base Coat, and Jack Black Lip Balm in the black tea flavour (because Christine recommended the formula, and I absolutely love it!). I also got a bunch of sheet masks from The Face Shop, and a L’Oreal Nail Polish from their Les Blancs collection in the colour ‘Mint Glacee’.
Weekend plans: I have a meeting all day tomorrow, then Sunday I’m hoping to get some work done on my take-home exams!
Favorite subject in school (past or present)?: Probably Imperialism! It’s a political science course I took this term that was just so cool – it brought in history, ideology, all sorts of stuff. So interesting.

OMG, I bloomin’ bloody freaked out, “cause my tax return came, in time to indulge in big S + big U discounts. Highlights were: presents: UD Smoked palette for a friend to whom I gave Naked Basics @ XMAS. She said she had never had such great E/S + begged me to get her a dark green + dark blue. ‘course I thought of Evidence + Loaded, was waffling on which purple, for a 4 palette + did better $ wise with the palette (+ 15%). Also got BE Dream Sequence for a young lady I had in school (now 40), who only wears purple. Not a biggie for me, but she’ll love it, unless her 18 y.o. steals it. Seriously. My personal damage was done both online (Z palettes for depotting + Chrysalis) and in-store (Bite Clementine, which won out over Timanfaya {bit of pink in that one}, Laura Mercier lip trio in natural, Bite in Cava, OCC in Psycho and Anita (no midrange stuff for me!) + 3 Sephora eye pencils: eccentric diva, MB Jeans, and the slate one. At U, succumbed to Naked 3 (what lippies are you guys using with it?) NYX brightening powder, 3 NYX lippies (LA LA, Cocoa, Thalia) Maybelline buff in Taupe, IT L/S in the red color (the lipfeel reminds me significantly of Poppy’s Medieval, which I seriously love), the Butter London blue + purple eye pencils + masc. The pencils are good, the mascara, not so much. The masc does better with the S eye fan brush, which really does improve the application. Good thing U refused my coupon code or I would have been all in for some Poppy. Lipstick Queen is not at our U. Enough damage for now. To think the government actually underwrote my addiction!
Plans: 2 X night job, some reports for day job (gotta get ahead; i have jury duty….) Dog walking + dog loving, housework or changing clothes from winter to summer. YAY! Warmth!
Subjects: HS: German. Undergrad: Psych, German, Theatre Grad school: Speech Path + Special Ed, each of which I currently use in day job. Sorry, Christine, Business School was torture, like being in a cult + I never used it, except in my thought processes. I’m a clinician at heart.
Now it’s 1:34A + all I want to do is go snug with Mellan + his toys. Guess I’ll settle for Jussi Sperling (Jack Sparrow in German; see how useful one’s favorite subject can be? Naming the dog! He’s a B+T SH Dachshund Tweener.)

zowie! jury duty was cancelled, as was one night job shift, so i could nurse the allergies by napping + zyrtec+ wrap gifts, without stressing over the evaluation reports. Just noticed I got rung twice for one pencil + still have a 10% at S for reinstating VIB. Think I’ll go for Nars Madly, though for the life of me, i can’t figure why they call it seashell pink. Kinda like that NYX beige lipgloss, which could hardly be pinker. Sometimes the descriptions are quite baffling.

Weekend plans: Today (which is Saturday here) I went out to the city with my mom, while I’m planning on staying in tomorrow.
Favorite subject in school (past or present)?: Art, definitely. I also enjoyed English, Indonesian, cooking class, history (sometimes, depending on the teacher), and anthropology.

That’s probably because I went to school in Indonesia. XD Sorry I didn’t specify it in my original comment, I can see how that could easily be misunderstood.
Although I recently found out that in Australia, Indonesian is pretty commonly offered in schools. Perhaps because the language is relatively easy to learn, although I imagine the fact that Indonesian immigrants are pretty common (due to the close proximity of the countries) probably helps as well. 🙂

Smallest Sephora haul ever…an OCC lip tar in Lydia and a Sephora eyeliner in Fairy Tale. Also got a MAC Prolongwear foundation and 2 lipsticks in Viva Glam 4 and Ruby Woo…my first (well, ONLY) true red.
I also picked up a L’Oreal eyeshadow in Golden Emerald. I’ve had my eye on it since it was swatched here, and that colour never hit the shelves in Canada. I got it from EBay at about half the cost they sell for here.

Haul: Jordana best lash volumizing mascara, 2 revlon nail polishes, one sinful colors nail polish in Cinderella (gorgeous color), and my first eyelash curler ever, it’s just the $1 elf one. xD I’ve never used one before so I got it to try it out. My lashes are naturally curled so we’ll see how much I use it haha.
Weekend plans: My uncle’s family is coming over today and we’re making french bread pizza and wings for dinner. Tomorrow my mom, dad, and I are going to see the cherry blossoms. 😀
