10 Cheek & Face Products to Try at Sephora

Here are some of my personal recommendations for cheek and face products to pick up while Sephora’s offering 15% off! Beauty Insiders use code TICKET, VIBs use code VIBTICKET, and Rouges use code ROUGETICKET. 🙂 Feel free to share your recommendations for other readers to try!

  1. Clinique Cheek Pop (review) are so incredible, I can recommend every single shade without hesitation. Great texture, pigmentation, and not too pricey! (Pictured: Plum Pop)
  2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush (review) are soft, lightly luminous blushes that are great for everyday wear. They’ve gone in and out of stock during the sale, so you might have to look in-store for them if they’re on your list. (Pictured: Ethereal Glow)
  3. Make Up For Ever HD Blush (review) are forgiving, easy-to-use cream blushes that wear well, come in a variety of shades, and have a great texture. (Pictured: #215)
  4. Guerlain Meteorites Pearls (review) is a fantastic way to add subtle glow and softening to the face after applying your favorite foundation, and they’re an indulgence to be sure! (Pictured: Clair)
  5. Givenchy Le Prisme Blush (review) is incredibly finely-milled, velvety, and smooth in texture, so the blush goes on evenly and looks natural on the skin. (Pictured: It-Girl Purple)
  6. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (review) might be “old news” now, but they’re products that can easily be used often and add soft luminosity to the skin. (Pictured: Luminous Light)
  7. Benefit Rockateur Box o’ Powder (review) is a sweet fix for a craving for rose gold.
  8. Illamasqua Blusher (review) is a lovely option for anyone looking for more satin and matte finish blushes. (Pictured: Lover)
  9. Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush (review) is a richly pigmented, long-wearing, silky-smooth formula. (Pictured: Sensous Rose)
  10. Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzing Powder (review) is a classic option for a finely-milled, silky-smooth, long-wearing bronzer. (Pictured: Moyen Brunettes)

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Hi Temptalia,
This is a great article, similar to your 10 lip products earlier, real help while deciding during sale season. I really don’t have anything in mind this time..but don’t want to let go my 15% off. For nc35 skin which hourglass ambient powder would you recommend..? so confusing. I also saw Kat Von D eye palette Monarch which is available online..confused!!
Thanks a ton

Hey Divya!

I literally just bought the two new Kat Von D palettes, so I have no idea how they compare in terms of quality. I don’t think I’ll be able to have them reviewed before the sale ends (they probably won’t arrive here until 4/9, and there’s not enough time to test all the shades before the sale ends). Generally, Kat Von D’s palettes seem to be of fairly good quality, and if you use a primer, some of the minor issues that have arisen shouldn’t be a big deal.

I would recommend Luminous or Radiant Light!

I have fair skin with pink and no yellow undertone and my favorite is dim light. I also have diffused light but dim is my favorite. Jack Black will change your life. I keep one in my makeup bag, purse, backpack (law student), bed side table, etc.

A couple of my favorites are on here!
1- Nars powder blush
2- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light
3- Benefit Rockateur
4- Nars Copacabana Multiple
5- Sephora Microsmooth Luminizer in Light Beam
6- Dior shimmer star Amber Diamond
7- Dior shimmer star Rose Diamond
8- Nars Laguna bronzer
9- Benefit Hoolah bronzer

I tried TWICE to get Plum Pop but they were sold out so I’ll pick it up at The Bay or Shoppers Drug Mart. My must have Sephora cheek purchases would be Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty, Bobbi Brown Pale Pink and I’m dangerously close to trying some of the Tarte stick blushes.

I bought Peach Pop based on your recommendation. I am very pleased with it now, but I wasn’t at first. For some reason, it seems that my blush had a really stiff top layer that was impossible to get any pigmentation out of. I literally couldn’t get any color to transfer to my cheeks. But then I got past that layer and now it is my all-time favorite blush.

As much as I like the color of Rockateur, I won’t be repurchasing it. It just isn’t quite worth $28 to me. It takes a lot of building to get it to show up on my skin and I’m like ghost white. Also I was disappointed to find the shimmer was only on the top (I have really matte skin and like shimmery blush/highlighters).

I really love the two blushes & highlighter in the UD Anarchy face case though.

I recieved Plum Pop and Ginger Pop the other day and I am in love! The blushes are as great as you described 🙂 But I have to say I was so disappointed with the one Hourglass Blush I got (Ethereal Glow). I can’t get the pink to show up at all really =/ I kind of have just been using it as a highlighter since the that shows up at least.

I gave one of the cheek pops a chance because your review was so great. Then I bought another, then I bought two more. They are all so pigmented and gorgeous.

You’re welcome! 😀 I love Meteorites, all Hourglass ambient everything, my favorite blushes are (used together) luminous flush and diffused heat, ethereal light and mood exposure, my favorite ambient powder is definitely the Ethereal; mattifies, highlights, cancels out shadows, iridescent almost…con’t: the liquid version of Guerlain: “Guerlain Teracotta Blush Sun Shimmer Highlighter” in 02 Sunny Pink, though 03 Spicy Coral is lovely as well. They last forever! MUFE HDs are good but I still prefer Becca Beach Tints! I’m dying to try Daniel Sandler watercolor blush and bronzer! And the Armani cheek fabric looked like perfection on you, btw! The only one up there I’m not always happy with are Benefit, Estée Lauder and Clinique. But I love Nars Illuminator in Copacabana! I’m eager for Hot Sand! Let’s play mix and match with the whole list! 😀
