Vaseline lip therapy
Jack Black Grapefruit and Ginger is very moisturizing, and I like that it has SPF. It remains slippery on the lips though, and I prefer a lip balm that really soaks in. Burt’s Bees new Coconut Pear balm is the current winner for me. It smells great and moisturizes all day without that slippery feeling.
Smith’s Rosebud Salve. I absolutely adore this and have been using it for years to smooth my dry lips and elbows!
Oh tough one… The one I use right (Nivea) is definitely not it :-S Maybe the Coola lip balms with SPF that I started using this summer? They’re suuuuper rich.
Have to copy you with Jack Black – it lasts and feels like it’s doing more than putting a layer of something on your lips. 🙂
Jack Black lip balms and the Bite Agave Lip Mask are the only ones that really cut it for my severely chapped lips.
I like Jack Black’s as a lip balm, but the taste is horrible – I’m not licking my lips or anything, but I can still taste it somehow. :s I don’t normally have this problem with lip products.

Nuxe Reve de Miel arrived in my mail box last weak, and OMFG(!!!) it completely transformed my lips! I have always had super dry lips that cracks and bleeds, no product have really helped before. Now my lips are smoooooth after just a few nightly applications!

Jack Black Lemon Chamomile because I can put a little bit on every night and have healthy moisturized lips through out the day(even if I use a matte lipstick).
I really love the Performance Colors Lip Repair lip balm. I love the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, except for the packaging, which was awful for me and ripped 🙁 The best moisturizing lip balm with SPF that I have is the Supergoop! SPF 30 mintfusion lipbalm.
Well, it’s not really a typical lip balm… I love my Elizabeth Arden 8 Hours Skin Protectant. I haven’t found anything else working as well as this does when my lips are dry and chapped! However, I also like Nivea lip balms for everyday when my lips do not need much care!
I have two favorites which work really well! One is the Rose bud Salve which is more like a day time lip balm for me.. and for nights its Reve de Miel! No beating that one!

Clarins -Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm
That stuff is awesome, I used to put on lip balm like 20 times a day, even very good ones. With that balm, I put it in the morning and in the evening and I’m done, it’s super efficient and moisturizing, I’m in love !!
I love Lush’s “Lip Service”. It’s lovely!
Lanolin oil (alone or in a gloss) is tops for me, but I also enjoy using the clear Liplicious and Beauty Rush glosses. They are very moisturizing, long-lasting and provide a nice shine.
I love Jack Black’s too.

you’ve turned me onto jack black balm and I love it! Works amazing an overnight moisturizer and a pre drying lipstick balm. Even after wiping off lips still feel hydrated. I do think the formula differs a little in the different scents. The blackberry is perfect but the mint is just a little thicker and less slippy and feels just a little less moisture packed.
i wish i could try jack black but chemical sunscreens and me do not get along, ever, so i use honey house naturals lip butter, which i pick up at the spa i visit. LOVE it…banished my perpetually dry, peeling lips for good (which, to be fair, might have been caused by the aforementioned chemical sunscreens in the first place).
Bare Minerals’ Jack of All Trades balm is pretty moisturizing. I’m determined to conquer these dry, flaky lips!

Hmm, good question! I don’t really think I’ve actually found a *most* moisturising one, but the Lavera one I’m using at the moment is great (with caveats!) 😉
I don’t look for moisture from my lip balm, I want it to seal in the moisture my lips already have. So I think waxy lip balms like Chapstick work best to keep my lips hydrated. The slipperier vaseline type lip balms always wear off too fast and leave my lips dry.
LaMer Lip balm have saved my lips. Pricey but most of the popular one’s that I love and had to stop using all contain lanolin…allergic to it. Gives me crazy bumps and hyper pigmentation (my lips literally turn black). I’m really bummed out about Bite Beauty Lip mask as initially during the first month my lips were feeling great then things got ugly soon afterwards.lol
The one I’e been loving right now is Burt’s Bees Ultra Conditioning lip balm (the one with the silver cap).
Lucas Papaw Ointment! It’s been voted,”Most popular lip balm in Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2014.” I would love to see a comparison of this to Jack Black lip balm which unfortunately is not available in this part of the world.
I like the Lucas Papaw ointmt a little more than the Jack Black. I still have 2 use a sugar scrub (from LUSH) w/either tho b/c my lips get insanely dry due 2 some meds

I love Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Lip Service but it only does well if you pile the product on.
I guess, the next best thing I own would be my Nivea essential care one but I do love going the natural way & just using Coconut oil.
I love Dermstore’s Lip Quench. And cheapie Aquaphor, which solves all wintertime chapped problems. I second all the Jack Black recommendations, although I find it a little strange to wear SPF to bed, so I usually put on with the LQ or Aquaphor at night.
Lansinoh HPA Lanolin ( purple tube available in baby/nursing mom section of Target or drugstore.
I love by Terry balme de rose and la mer’s lip balms for day and use nuxe reve de mile at night! I haven’t tried the Jack Black balms though so I’ll have to get one.
My favorite lip balm for night is Dior’s Baume de Rose. I can put that on at night and wake up with it still there. For day time, I like any of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments. SPF and color in one.
Aveda lip saver
Bobbi Brown Lip Balm SPF 15 — It feels so emollient and luxurious, has sun protection, smells nice, no offensive taste, stays on my lips, and makes my lips feel plump, soft, and hydrated. In all honesty it beats By Terry’s Baume de Rose!

Lush Honey Trap is perfect.
My favourite is Jouer essential lip enhancer conditioning lip treatment. I use it every night, and I don’t wake up with dry lips, even in the winter.
I also like S.W. Basics Cocoa lip balm. it contains cocoa butter, coconut oil and beeswax. It’s slippery, but I like that as I tend to rub my lips together a lot.

CO Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm from Bath & Body Works. It replaced a lip balm from Philosophy that was discontinued.
If you’d have asked me a couple days ago, I would’ve said the Sugar lip balm, but I just bought the Jack Black one and there is no turning back!!
I love Jack Black, of course, and I have a few others I like. Vasoline Lip Therapy, TonyMoly Snail Lip Treatment, and the two lip balms I got from Rainbow Honey when I did their mystery bags a couple of months in a row.
Scent/flavor wise, of the group, my faves are Jack Black’s Blackberry & Tea, Rainbow Honey’s Queen Bee, and Vasoline’s Rosy Lips.
For me it’s Dior’s lip glow. I’m at my third tube and I will not be without this product. I love everything about it.
Petroleum Jelly + Lanolin.
I just found that if I mix Vaseline & Lansinoh (melt them in the microwave), I’ve got surprisingly great lip balm. It’s not too slippery like plain Vaseline but not too waxy like plain Lansinoh either.
While it’s not really hydrating like my favorite lipbalm (Carmex Original Tube, Jack Black Mint & Shea Butter, La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lèvres, Lucas Papaw Ointment, By Terry Baume de Rose, Burt’s Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm), it really seals moisture on your lips.
PS: I also love to “seal” my drying lipstick with a thin layer of this mixture so my lips remain “balmy”.
