Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher

This is described as buildable, but imho it isn't really buildable. Hard to apply and to build, since it's both chalky in texture & super sheer. Difficult to build the color up enough that it looks on my face like it does in the package. Likewise, swatching this blush was a real pain. I had to tediously build the product up about 5 layers, to develop a swatch that finally didn't blend right into my pale, pinkish skin & look like nothing is there. This Clinique blush has at least one potential dupe: Milani rose-shaped powder blush, in 08 Tea Rose is about 90% similar. It has the exact same peachy-pink color but is opaque, highly pigmented, and matte. Milani Tea Rose is far easier to apply and build color, & much easier to swatch. The only potential downside to the substitution is that Tea Rose is very matte so it will not shimmer and reflect light, the way New Clover does.
