5 Shades of Radiant Orchid for Eyes

You know what I look forward to? Seeing some radiantorchideyes eyeliners. Those are few and far between, particularly for permanently available options. I also look forward to seeing some intensely pigmented, radiantorchideyes-hued matte eyeshadows–or at least, that’s my hope.

What are your favorite orchid-hued eyeshadows/eyeliners?

Strangely enough, not a lot of what you’d call ‘orchid’ – I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find more ‘blue’-purples! Actually quite difficult, especially in lipsticks.

I’d certainly take an eyeshadow dupe of MUFE’s Rouge Artist Intense #15 lipstick, if you know of a good one! (I’m sure there are several, now that I actually think about it!) 🙂

0_o they’re all so pretty… 0_o

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to dig these out! I think it’s a tie between those two Fyrinnae ones (*why* have I not gotten any of their stuff yet?!), but that MUFE one is breathtaking for its pigment alone!

idk if this exactly counts as orchid, but i got l’ancome’s “drama” for christmas and i LOVE it. it’s just a light wash of purple and doesn’t look at all like a bruise. plus, i can’t resist the combo of duochrome and microglitter lol. i can see it getting a lot of play in my looks this spring.

This isn’t a colour I actually choose to wear so the only ones I have came in palettes and probably the closest I have to “orchid” is “Rosette” from Stila’s In the Garden palette. I have used it overtop another crease colour but just in the deepest part of the crease and it has been nice but, again, just not a shade I would intentionally reach for.

I don’t LOVE the idea of a “THIS IS THE COLOR FOR THE YEAR!” because it gets old after a few months – and plus, redundant. Though with emerald green and orchid, at least they’re not colors that have been done 234987234 times already, I guess.

I like the idea in the sense that the colors chosen over the past 3 years are ones that don’t get alot of representation otherwise. While I’ve never cared for orange when it comes to any makeup product, I’m open-minded enough to realize there are those who love it, and it was a great opportunity to pick up some things. Some of those same consumers, however, hated last year’s emerald green, while others embraced it. Also, as Christine stated, perhaps we’ll see orchid eyeliners this year…

It’s also a way for some to “justify” wearing a color they may not normally choose for themselves, and in the process, discover something new. The idea of a “color of the year/season” isn’t a new one, and designers have been doing it for years, but to actually have it pointed out, and encapsulated in a “user-friendly” manner can be quite helpful for those who may feel overwhelmed.

Aromaleigh has at least 3 lovely shades of orchid: Diamanda (Pure Eyes Lustre), Lisette (Bete Noire), and Aspasia (Ignis Antiquita).

How do you usually like to wear this color, Christine? It’s such a pretty color but I never know where to put it…it’s a little to bright to use as a lid color, but not deep enough to use in the outer V/outer eye.

UD’s Fishnet is gorgeous, and next on my list! As for Orchid eyeliners, Christine, Laura Mercier’s Caviar Eye Stick in Orchid is beautiful, and can be used as a budge-proof eyeliner with a small angled brush!

From your list am def trying to grab “MEERKAT” 🙂 how beautiful it is 😀 and veryy different

I have Fishnet and it is so beautiful .. probably the only eyeshadow i would buy from new range … dear , do you think it is good option .. i have it in older palette but the new formula is amazing na
and also may be MUFE 26 .. how mouth watering it is 🙂 but i have # 75 .. soooo 🙁

My latest acquisition is NARS Rage, and I love the buttery texture of the formula. Unfortunately, it is LE, but I see it lasting a while. NARS Lulu is a deeper matte, and is another favorite, along with UD Fishnet, MAC Stars & Rockets, and I have several from tarte (and other brands) that came in palettes, but have no names… I favor purples of all types, and aside from neutrals, make up the bulk of my stash!

Among eyeliners, I have Sugar Plum glimmersticks diamonds from Avon, it’s very very pretty.

I like the pressed Meerkat shadow colour the most among these, even African Violet from Laura Mercier is pretty.

I love the radiant orchid choice for the year, on lips and clothes especially. Personally, I prefer burgundys and browns on my eyes.

Oh man, I just received my last Fyrinnae order, why did I not get Meerkat? Its been on my list for awhile (but lets face it, most of their eyeshadows are on my to-get someday list).

LOVE Fishnet too, its not a shade I ever would have thought I would wear (til I bought last year’s Fun palette) but it looks amazing on, and makes the green in my hazel/green eyes stand out more than any other eyeshadow I’ve used. Looks amazing with their Psychedelic sister (purple) eyeliner, so so pretty.

Physicians formula has a lovely pinky-purple eyeliner in their shimmer strips for hazel eye trio! It’s really pigmented and lasts a good while too! I believe Jane Cosmetics also as a similar color, called Purple Lilac! I haven’t tried that specific Jane eyeliner yet, so I don’t know how pigmented it is.
