Tarte Off the Cuff Blush Palette Review, Photos, Swatches (Quick)

Tarte Off the Cuff Blush Palette
Tarte Off the Cuff Blush Palette

Tarte Off the Cuff Blush Palette ($42.00 for 0.79 oz.) includes four blushes and one bronzer. It just sold out sometime between yesterday and today (last I checked, it was still available) online, so your only bet is to find it at a local store. Three of the five shades are part of the permanent range (Dazzled, Dollface, and Park Ave. Princess). Tarte’s blushes are normally 0.20 oz. each, and these are 0.158 oz., which is close. The set contains $81 worth of blush and $14 worth of bronzer, plus a faux leather cuff with a bow on top, but it contains $95 worth of makeup in it. Overall, all five products are nicely pigmented, and though a few are a little powdery at times, they sit well on the skin and blend out beautifully. If you can find the set, it is worth checking out. Tarte’s blushes, to be sure, though, do not wear the full 12-hours as promised, but they wear nicely at eight to nine hours, on average.

I had a feeling it might sell out, and unfortunately, I didn’t receive this until late last week. I haven’t even tested all of the blushes, but since it’s sold out, I’m not reviewing this in full–instead, I’m sharing photos and swatches so if you’re able to head to a store, you might still be able to snag it. Otherwise, check out the dupes for each.

Crave is a warm-toned, pink-coral with a satin finish. It had nice pigmentation, and the consistency was soft without being powdery. See comparison swatches.

Dazzled is a warm, muted rose with a hint of berry and a satin finish. The color payoff was quite nice, and the texture was soft and silky without being powdery. See comparison swatches.

Darling is a medium peach with a rosy tinge and a mostly matte finish. It had fairly good pigmentation, and the texture was silky and soft, just a bit powdery. See comparison swatches.

Dollface is a cool, blue-based, light-medium pink with a satin finish. It had excellent color payoff, and the texture was very soft–a smidgen powdery. See comparison swatches.

Park Ave. Princess is warm-toned, golden brown with a satin finish. It had excellent color payoff and applied smoothly and evenly. See comparison swatches.

Ah! I have no need for this but it’s gorgeous. The cuff is adorable too. Too bad it sold out ):

Also, Christine, I have a quick question. I’ve been noticing the main font of Temptalia has increased dramatically in size. Was this an intentional fix or an accident? It doesn’t seem to span to all pages.

Every page after the first page of reviews is fine. Otherwise, if I’m on an individual page for a review/the main page the font is too large.
I’m using firefox on a PC.

check your zoom on your browser. Under view in the toolbar you can go to the zoom drop down and hit reset or go in and manually reset it to 100%. This might fix it. I know it’s a pretty common problem with firefox because sometimes you can change the zoom while scrolling without even realizing it.

Christine, the same thing has been happening to me for a few days now too. I’m using safari to browse and the font increases randomly in the reviews and sometimes in the home page too! Lovely review, thanks a lot!

I’m so happy I ordered this! I really like all the shades and it will be practical to have a bunch of Tarte blushes in one palette (for travel). I love that most Tarte blushes are matte(ish) withoutvlooking powdery and unnatural on the skin. They are also extremely long-lasting on my oily skin!

I like the colors of the QVC collection better, but it’s a trade off in the amount of product you get. The blushes in the qvc deal are only 0.053 oz vs this at 0.15 oz each. Just a thought!

I’m glad I got this before it sold out – I don’t mind a bit of sheerness (I’m pretty fair and I don’t always have a ton of time for blending), and I’m a sucker for peachy pinks. Almost wish they’d done a highlighter instead of a bronzer, though, since I rarely wear bronzer.

Vineetha – did you just say that the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette was back in stock earlier today??? I’ve been stalking the Sephora website and all the local stores since Friday for that, and now it says on the website that it’s still sold out. :/ When (what time?) did you see it back in stock?

I debated buying this palette, mainly because the cuff is so cute. I don’t think it would fit my gigantic wrist, though, so I skipped. The blushes look really great and the value of the palette is good, but since the shades I want the most are permanent anyway, I don’t really regret not buying it.

Thanks for this post! I just snagged one up online and I’m hoping to get mine by Tuesday or Wednesday, hopefully. Glad to know it looks that great (it sucks that it has Dollface in the palette, though, because I already have the full sized version of that). Can’t wait to post a review of my own!

Oh, and BTW, are you planning to update this review with a full one? 🙂

The blushes look gorgeous on you Christine! Can you please tell me why you gave this palette an A-? I grabbed this palette and NARS one night stand cheek palette from the VIB sale but I only plan to keep one. I am having a really hard time deciding which one to keep. I don’t own any blush from either brand. When I tested the shades on my hand at Sephora it seemed the Tarte blushes were more pigmented than NARS. I definitely like the NARS packaging better though. The tarte palette has glitter that gets on my hands.

Tarte’s blushes’ biggest downside is that they say 12 hours of wear, and I just don’t get that kind of wear – 8 to 10 hours (max), but it’s good, average wear and lasts through a workday well enough, but it’s just not 12 hours (which they claim and push pretty heavily).

AngieButterfly Avatar

It took a lot of will power to say no to this because I don’t need more blush and this is just gorgeous. This is definitely first world problems.

I love Tarte blushes but I already have Park Avenue Princess (and as someone who rarely uses bronzer, I don’t need another) and 2 (or possibly 3) of the 4 blushes really aren’t good shades for me so I’m better off buying Doll Face or maybe Amused or Blushing Bride on their own for my next blush purchases.

Mindy Avatar

I collect Tarte Blushs but I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that three of the shades are permanent. Tarte with their bronzer is like NARS Orgasm, they put it in everything! It’s a good bronzer, but seriously, I have about 4 sets of it from different kits and palettes. The limited edition colors look nice, but ultimately I passed on this one.

Lulle Avatar

I considered buying this set with the VIB code but eventually I passed. I don’t really like blush palettes, I find it a lot more practical to use individual blush pans. Since most of the shades here are part of the permanent range it didnt look like a must-have anyway.
What foundation are you wearing in these pics Christine? Your skin looks absolutely perfect!

Ellie Avatar

I went to Sephora and I had both this and the NARS one in my hand. In the end I went for this one, I already had two of the shades in the NARS one, I didn’t want to support this collection in particular, and Tarte is cruelty free. So, I went for the Tarte palette and I’m really enjoying it.

LuxLosAngeles Avatar

I’m surprised that these are a “satin” finish. They look matte and perhaps that’s because I’m just unfamiliar with truly matte blushes?

alyssa897 Avatar

I was tempted to get this palette with the VIB sale, but ultimately passed because I would rather have the NARS One Night Stand, which I will purchase if it restocks on sephora.com (haven’t seen it in stores). Also, I purchased the Gorgeous Getaways set from Ulta that comes with 16 full size eyeshadows, 4 blushes (can’t remember the exact size, but pretty big sizes and pretty colors!) and three full size lip glosses for $48. Much better overall deal than this palette. Just something to consider. 🙂

SheDaisy Avatar

I can’t tell the difference between these blushes when they are on. Is that bad? I wish I could get into blush, but I can’t tell what blush goes with what look. It’s still a mystery!
