Say Goodbye to Google Reader, Hello to Something Shiny and New!

Google Reader is shutting down for good tomorrow (July 1st), so make sure to export all of your favorite blogs (which hopefully includes this one!) onto a new service, such as Bloglovin’, which is quickly becoming the go-to within the blogosphere as a replacement for Google Reader. Bloglovin’ has an import feature so you can easily transfer your favorite blogs into their service so you can continue to get updates.

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I can vouch for bloglovin as an alternative to Google Reader. I’ve been using it ever since I got the news about Reader being shut down and it’s great, as is the app, and this is after trying a couple of different alternatives.

I personally love reading your daily emails, and much prefer that to other methods with the exception of just looking at your site directly.

I’ve been re-enjoying your Behind the Scenes series about how you started your blog and I am unsure if you have answered this question elsewhere. But I was wondering how you obtain your press photos from product launches from the companies. I know it’s hard not to infringe on copyright laws on the interwebz these days. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve never known where to state the following, but here ya go ;D
I mostly utilize just your site (95% of time, other is MUA b/c of an account w/’em) & I’m shocked/over-impressed with:
How, to date, you remain a “one-woman show” as you are the researcher/ media poster/ blog & info, updates & archives–etc.. WOW!
Truly awesome of you 😉 Jecca
