I would wear sunscreen, tinted moisturizer, waterproof eyeliner and mascara, and lipgloss – just enough to look good out of the pool but not so much that I couldn’t get splashed!

Makeup to a pool party? For me, it would be a sunscreen with a very high level of protection (if I could find a tinted one, so much the better), a lip product with similar protection and a bit of colour, great looking sun glasses and a large hat!
None, if you’re going in the pool! There are time that “au naturel” is the best look one can have. Embrace your natural beauty.
To the pool or the beach for that matter, I like to wear very minimal makeup, so it would be just sunscreen, concelear for undereye circles and lipstick, something like Ysl Rouge Volupte Caress Pink or Chanel Gardenia, that is enough.
If you’re going to be at the pool for more than an hour or two, then sunscreen needs to be topped up regularly. In that case, I’d skip tinted moisturizer and possibly any eye makeup, depending on how you apply your sunscreen. (I usually apply mine on forehead, cheeks, nose, chin, and then spread it over my whole face and over closed eyes and lips. Therefore, I never wear eye makeup or face makeup to a pool/beach.) Tinted lip balms with SPF are nice, because they give you color but usually they’re pretty gone by the time it comes to reapply sunscreen. So you can top up your SPF and lip color at the same time!
Other than hardcore waterproof sunscreen, I just wear waterproof mascara and maybe a tinted SPF lip balm. I wouldn’t even bother with the mascara but my lashes are strawberry blond and totally disappear without any.
I try to wear as little make- up as possible(since a lot of people make fun of people who are completely “done”) just to hop in the pool. I would say a shimmery spf, lipgloss, and waterproof mascara is all one needs.
Knowing that I’d be getting wet, I’d probably go bare-faced with nothing but a little SPF lip balm and a colorful gloss on top.
Oh, and I’d fill in my brows with a little powder!
I think it’s funny when people wear makeup to the pool or beach. No one cares about how you look. I go au naturel and slather on sunscreen.
I don’t wear makeup to the pool. But I think for those that don’t want to go without, I’d recommend lots of sunscreen, maybe a little bit of waterproof mascara and liner just on the upper lashline and some tinted balm. Any base makeup you apply is going to wash away anyway so why bother (also you’re going to have to reapply SPF so there is no point, really!)
I am so guilty of going swimming with too much makeup on. I sit down in front of my make up mirror and think, well I will just cover up some marks, then it’s, well how about a little foundation to even it all out. Hmmm I should fill in those brows, well now my eyes could use some definition. Oh dear I looks pale, could use some bronzer blush. Before I know it, I’m all made up. This year I am really going to go to the beach with less make up, just some foundation and false lashes lol I don’t like waterproff mascara, so natural looking false lashes work better for me.
Sunscreen. That’s it. You’re at a POOL party.
Enjoy yourself without having to worry about your makeup running.
I’m late and summer is almost over but I wanted to jump in the convo anyway, lol. I wore some makeup to a party in Vegas once. it was VERY minimal. I basically drew in my brows and put on a thin layer of Mac’s MSFN sheer powder over SPF. my sunnies are big so they covered up my biggest problem areas (dark circles). I think I just wore SPF on my lips. the MSFN gave me a nice little glow. I got in the water but didn’t really swim around because there were like a million ppl in the water and it was pretty gross.
