Hey ladies & gents! I’m very excited because my entry was finally approved, and now I’m on on the site! (yay!) I would reallyyy like to see yours, so please leave a link to your look!  If any of you entered the regional contest, I’d love to see some photos.  There’s nothing to lose, so enter 🙂

National Contest — How to Enter?
To enter the “Are You A MA”C Original?” contest on a national level, consumers can visit http://www.maccosmetics.com/originals/ beginning December 26th to submit a picture of themselves wearing their favorite MAC products, along with 50 words on what makes them a MAC Original. The winner will be determined by votes online. The winner will receive a $1,000 MAC gift card and the complete Originals collection.

Regional Contest — How to Enter?
On a regional level, MAC will hold the “Are You A MAC Original” Contest in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Houston on the weekend of January 4th-6th. MAC customers can visit designated MAC locations for a complimentary makeup application and get a professional photograph taken. Customers can then enter to be the MAC Original winner of the city and will also be automatically entered into the national contest. The regional winner will receive a $250 MAC gift card, the complete Originals collection and a story in a local publication.

You know what Christine. Even if I didn’t stalk your blog and became familiar with who you are, I would have voted on your entry alone. You blurb on the side was awesomely written and you pic was totally creative and original from the rest in itself. Half the women aren’t even wearing makeup and some have like half a face showing. About 50 percent are a hot mess.
You stick out in a good way.

You should really be spam bulletin-ing everyone on myspace, all you really need to do is ask people to pass it on. It’s definitely the most vibrant on there, difficult to outdo. I’m trying to think of what I could possibly do to top that and I’m thinking probably nothing. 🙂

i don’t care what the points say, i think your work was brilliant. i know a lot were rejected so being part of it is special enough. i think you did extremely well, you used the right colors that best suited the title ‘originals’. you collaberated pretty well, i mean some didn’t even look like they were wearing anything. your look was all about the art and not whether you were pretty or not that helped you gain points. in the picture, you got the right attitude, you looked very professional. and i liked what you wrote on the side, i don’t really feel comfortable when they write something too personal, i mean its a contest about art not about personal struggles. anyway, whatever, i hope you win.

I spent at least a week trying to figure out something I could do that would be me and good for contest at the same time. I didn’t want to go TOO crazy (and perhaps end up looking crazy, too, haha!).

I think the best part is actually your lip gloss. Perfect shade to compliment the shadow, anything else could look too vampy! It comes off looking youthful.

Looks incredible! You have the best one there and I loved your description. I’m thinking about entering too (just for fun, I don’t think I would win) but I haven’t found the right photo yet…I’ll keep looking.
