Finding a good eyelash curler depends on your own individual eye-shape. If you liked the Shu uerema eyelash curler, you'll also find this MAC curler fitting to your eye shape as they are quite similar in curvature. Try Shiseido's curler if your eyes are more flat. I find with all eyelash curlers, the best way to get a great curl and not an L, is to press starting from the tip of the lashes and slowly work your way towards the eye.

This is my first non-drugstore lash curler. It curls my lashes without making the L shape, but while I can curl without struggling on my left eye, I have to be really careful with my right eye, because it can pinch me if I am not careful. It does its job, but it's not HG material.
