5 Effortlessly Natural Blushes

5 Effortlessly Natural Blushes

My go-to for a great natural cheek color is Korres #15 Natural, which gives my cheeks a little warmth and natural color without being too pink or plum. I also really love Tarte Exposed, which gives a little more color but still retains a soft, natural result.

  1. Tarina Tarantino Neopolitan Lane — soft medium brown
  2. Burberry Russet — medium-dark brown with orange undertones
  3. Korres #15 Natural — medium-dark brown
  4. Tarte Exposed — muted rosy plum
  5. Burberry Cameo — muted plum

What’s your go-to blush for a natural cheek color?

My fave natural blushes would be MAC Mocha and NARS Douceur, though Douceur would come in first. It’s almost like a soft bronzer that works as a blush, so it looks extremely natural. <3

I find in interesting that muted shade like these can look muddy on me rather then subtle as i’m so fair that the brown tones pop out more then the warmth of the pinks.

L’Oreal Wear Infinite in Mauvelous is the *perfect* shade for me. On my skin, it is the color I actually “blush”, and it is matte. The quality is also amazing; in my opinion, it’s right up there with NARS (and a fraction of the cost).

Tarte exposed is my very first blush that has hit pan, and is not even one of my first blushes, it is so easy to use and you can’t never go wrong with it. It gives you a little rosy and bronze color. It is a must have.

The natural blushes I reach for the most are Korres Natural, MAC Prim & Proper and MAC Secret Blush. The Korres one is mostly used in the summer when I have a bit of color, and the other two are my go-to for winter.

For a super natural cheek, instead of wearing cheek colour, I just do a more contoured look with MAC Harmony in the temples and hollows of my cheeks and a blended in line of Benefit High Beam on the high cheekbone area with a super light dusting of Park Avenue Princess bronzer.. but never bronzer on the apples of my cheeks which I think looks muddy and unnatural.  I also love Tarte Exposed and Illamasqua Naked Rose where both give just the right amount of colour for setting off a dramatic eye without competing.

I’ve had my eye on Tarte’s Exposed for a while not but haven’t purchased it for fear that my really pale skin tone wouldn’t pair well with the colour. I think I might purchase it anyways for those days that I just want a really natural look with a slight colour, nothing too bright.

I have a heck of a time finding blushes that’ll work for me, period: very pale, neutral complexion, cheeks prone to a touch of pinkishness. It’s nightmarish. *g*   What’s worked best for me lately is the Burberry summer glow – as a blush: mixing the pink and highlight sections, with just a touch of the softer brown to ground it a little.  I suspect that I might be able to achieve something similar with the Tarte Exposed…  but honestly fear that the colour might still be a bit too saturated for my tone. One of these days I intend to fork out for the Burberry Cameo, though.

Chanel Rose Ecrin, Benefit Hervana or Nars Douceur + Sex Appeal are very soft blushes. I also love Cargo Catalina but I fear the brand is being discontinued in France.

For me, it’s probably Mac Pinch o’Peach or an LE cream blush from Clarins called Vitamin Pink. I really want to try the Tarte blushes in either Exposed or Amused but they’re so much like blushes I already have….I really have to use up SOMETHING!!!

#1, #3 and #5 would suit me beautiful. Thank you so much Christine for this post. I have looked everywhere for blushes that are not too pink, orange or plum and these are just that. Now to decide…

Surprising enough, I just got myself the Burberry blush in Cameo!

I’m a person who is usually gravitated to soft pink blushes (despite the fact that my skin tone is not so light) and ended up having tons of the same kind of pink. This type of color is new for me and I think I love it! So Cameo is my new and favorite so far! lol

I wish Korres and Tarte were more accessible to me!

Thank you for sharing <3

gosh I am disappointed that none of Bobbi Brown’s great soft pink or brown natural blushes made this list. But honestly there must be about a million natural powder blushes.

What “soft brown” blush does Bobbi Brown make other than her bronzers? I love her products, but her brown based philosophy was sold out to Estee Lauder! Her products haven’t been the same since!
