ColourPop Perception 16-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($23.00 for 0.62 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette, and I thought I’d try to share some possible look ideas with those who want to see how versatile (or not) the palette may be.

The way I’ve tried to create the looks was around the general application of inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease, but they can, of course, be applied in any order or in any placement one desires! I have deliberately stuck to four shades to avoid being overly complicated and also worked from the assumption that these are the “core” shades of a look and that brow bone/transition shades would be brought in based on what would work for your skin tone (as neither are one-size-fits-all).

I hope that this is helpful and that some of the combinations might encourage you to try them with products you already own as well!

Oh thank you so much for this!! I love the look of this palette but know I’d struggle with actually wearing it. Having looked at these combinations I now know I could do it!

Hi Christine! I really love this, thanks for the inspiration. In the future, would you be able to make the images of the eyeshadows one image instead of 4? It would make it easier to pin on pinterest for my makeup inspiration board. šŸ™‚ (I understand if maybe you didn’t want to do that to keep thieves away.)

Sorry, that would add about 2-3 hours (probably longer for this many) just to making the post (it would negate my ability to do it since something like this takes up time I don’t really have, lol)! This is automated for the way it displays once I put in the shade #s – putting them together in an image would mean I’d need open and get each original image, then copy and paste every image into a single one, then format, and then I would have to recode the entire display output. This also makes each image clickable so that you can easily go to the larger image and allows me the ability to rearrange after I see them outputted together (I do make tweaks and changes).

I love your creative posts like this! This is also really helpful for a lot of people, I can’t tell you how many times a large and colorful palette comes out and I see tons of influencers say they’re just not “creative” enough to make a look out of it. While I don’t think it’s…that deep or that hard, I think this kind of stuff can help people imagine possibilities! Most of all I love when you get the chance to have fun and be creative, I always hope you’re still having fun and feeling creatively stimulated in this job that gets so routine. <3

I would also like to add: when you first posted swatches of this palette I wasn’t very impressed by them, even with some beautiful shades. Just goes to show that swatches aren’t everything (and maybe it was *I* wasn’t thinking creatively…)

I don’t think this palette is quite my style (too many neutrals for my taste, and most of the colors skew a bit too warm for me), but seeing these combinations of yours helps me see that it’ll look great on those who do like it! My favorite combos are #6, #17, and #20.

Coolest post ever. Besides your recent Colourpop fantasy palettes one!!! I’m loving your creative bent lately Christine!!! Thank you for doing this for us! Definitely going to buy this and use your inspo!

I was finally able to order this palette today since it was just recently restocked and I can’t wait to try some of these looks out! Sometimes I feel like my looks kind of blend together so this will help me step outside my box a bit. Thank you!
