10 Cheek & Face Products to Try at Sephora
Here are some of my personal recommendations for cheek and face products to pick up while Sephora’s offering 15% off! Beauty Insiders use code TICKET, VIBs use code VIBTICKET, and Rouges use code ROUGETICKET. 🙂 Feel free to share your recommendations for other readers to try!
- Clinique Cheek Pop (review) are so incredible, I can recommend every single shade without hesitation. Great texture, pigmentation, and not too pricey! (Pictured: Plum Pop)
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush (review) are soft, lightly luminous blushes that are great for everyday wear. They’ve gone in and out of stock during the sale, so you might have to look in-store for them if they’re on your list. (Pictured: Ethereal Glow)
- Make Up For Ever HD Blush (review) are forgiving, easy-to-use cream blushes that wear well, come in a variety of shades, and have a great texture. (Pictured: #215)
- Guerlain Meteorites Pearls (review) is a fantastic way to add subtle glow and softening to the face after applying your favorite foundation, and they’re an indulgence to be sure! (Pictured: Clair)
- Givenchy Le Prisme Blush (review) is incredibly finely-milled, velvety, and smooth in texture, so the blush goes on evenly and looks natural on the skin. (Pictured: It-Girl Purple)
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (review) might be “old news” now, but they’re products that can easily be used often and add soft luminosity to the skin. (Pictured: Luminous Light)
- Benefit Rockateur Box o’ Powder (review) is a sweet fix for a craving for rose gold.
- Illamasqua Blusher (review) is a lovely option for anyone looking for more satin and matte finish blushes. (Pictured: Lover)
- Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush (review) is a richly pigmented, long-wearing, silky-smooth formula. (Pictured: Sensous Rose)
- Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzing Powder (review) is a classic option for a finely-milled, silky-smooth, long-wearing bronzer. (Pictured: Moyen Brunettes)
Love the Clinique Cheek Pop. Got it in Ginger Pop.
I’m so glad you got one, Lily!
Its so funny, almost all of these items are on my wishlist!
Crazy coincidence!
I am DYING to try those Hourglass blushes!
Which one is at the top of your list?
Hi Temptalia,
This is a great article, similar to your 10 lip products earlier, real help while deciding during sale season. I really don’t have anything in mind this time..but don’t want to let go my 15% off. For nc35 skin which hourglass ambient powder would you recommend..? so confusing. I also saw Kat Von D eye palette Monarch which is available online..confused!!
Thanks a ton
Hey Divya!
I literally just bought the two new Kat Von D palettes, so I have no idea how they compare in terms of quality. I don’t think I’ll be able to have them reviewed before the sale ends (they probably won’t arrive here until 4/9, and there’s not enough time to test all the shades before the sale ends). Generally, Kat Von D’s palettes seem to be of fairly good quality, and if you use a primer, some of the minor issues that have arisen shouldn’t be a big deal.
I would recommend Luminous or Radiant Light!
What ??!! Sephora carries estee lauder??? Yayyyy!!!
Right? I had no idea. They don’t seem to have EVERYTHING, but they have a mix of skincare and makeup online at least. (I don’t have a nearby store!)
I’m excited to see Sephora carry Estee Lauder, Thanks for letting us know.
This is such an excellent feature during the Sephora sale! I am going this afternoon to pick up the Jack Black lip balm & Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. Now, the dilemma is which shade? I’ll have fun swatching them.
Any shades that are topping your list? I don’t think you can really go wrong, though!
I have fair skin with pink and no yellow undertone and my favorite is dim light. I also have diffused light but dim is my favorite. Jack Black will change your life. I keep one in my makeup bag, purse, backpack (law student), bed side table, etc.
I tried Rockateur and while it was a gorgeous shade in the pain, it just didn’t perform on my cheeks and I’m pretty light.
I’d love to try an Illamasqua powder brush. I’ve only tried Brazen, the cream brush, which I do like.
So surprised it didn’t perform well for you on your fairer skin!
I really need to try one of the Makeup Forever blushes! Everyone is raving about them lol
You do!!
I guess I need to go back to Sephora sooner then I thought!
Haha! 😉
A couple of my favorites are on here!
1- Nars powder blush
2- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light
3- Benefit Rockateur
4- Nars Copacabana Multiple
5- Sephora Microsmooth Luminizer in Light Beam
6- Dior shimmer star Amber Diamond
7- Dior shimmer star Rose Diamond
8- Nars Laguna bronzer
9- Benefit Hoolah bronzer
I think I need to try Copacabana!
It’s really pretty!
I tried TWICE to get Plum Pop but they were sold out so I’ll pick it up at The Bay or Shoppers Drug Mart. My must have Sephora cheek purchases would be Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty, Bobbi Brown Pale Pink and I’m dangerously close to trying some of the Tarte stick blushes.
LOL! It’s kind of insane how much stuff sells out during a Sephora sale.
I bought Peach Pop based on your recommendation. I am very pleased with it now, but I wasn’t at first. For some reason, it seems that my blush had a really stiff top layer that was impossible to get any pigmentation out of. I literally couldn’t get any color to transfer to my cheeks. But then I got past that layer and now it is my all-time favorite blush.
Hey Anna!
I’m glad it ended up working out for you! I have heard from a few readers about a top layer issue – so you aren’t alone (unfortunately!).
Very helpful to hear this as I just bought a Peach Pop have been having the same issue!
What I really wanna try is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush which has gotten amazing reviews from my all my fav bloggers
I hope you get a chance to try it, Cindy!
As much as I like the color of Rockateur, I won’t be repurchasing it. It just isn’t quite worth $28 to me. It takes a lot of building to get it to show up on my skin and I’m like ghost white. Also I was disappointed to find the shimmer was only on the top (I have really matte skin and like shimmery blush/highlighters).
I really love the two blushes & highlighter in the UD Anarchy face case though.
Aww, sorry to hear Rockateur didn’t work out for you, Alice! 🙁
I recieved Plum Pop and Ginger Pop the other day and I am in love! The blushes are as great as you described 🙂 But I have to say I was so disappointed with the one Hourglass Blush I got (Ethereal Glow). I can’t get the pink to show up at all really =/ I kind of have just been using it as a highlighter since the that shows up at least.
Ethereal Glow was one of my least favorites, because it seemed less versatile (almost more like their Ambient Lighting Powders)!
The clinique blusher is fab!
Which shade is your fave?
I gave one of the cheek pops a chance because your review was so great. Then I bought another, then I bought two more. They are all so pigmented and gorgeous.
Haha! They’re amazing. I’m both happy and sad there are only four, lol!
This is a great spread! The Givenchy le Prisme looks too tempting! I really like your choices when you make lists! My wallet disagrees 😉 but I’m safe with this one. 😀 <3
Thanks! 🙂 What are some of your favorites?
You’re welcome! 😀 I love Meteorites, all Hourglass ambient everything, my favorite blushes are (used together) luminous flush and diffused heat, ethereal light and mood exposure, my favorite ambient powder is definitely the Ethereal; mattifies, highlights, cancels out shadows, iridescent almost…con’t: the liquid version of Guerlain: “Guerlain Teracotta Blush Sun Shimmer Highlighter” in 02 Sunny Pink, though 03 Spicy Coral is lovely as well. They last forever! MUFE HDs are good but I still prefer Becca Beach Tints! I’m dying to try Daniel Sandler watercolor blush and bronzer! And the Armani cheek fabric looked like perfection on you, btw! The only one up there I’m not always happy with are Benefit, Estée Lauder and Clinique. But I love Nars Illuminator in Copacabana! I’m eager for Hot Sand! Let’s play mix and match with the whole list! 😀
Totally want to try Guerlain Meteorites someday!
I have Peach Pop, and I’m going to add my review to the cavalcade of positives soon 🙂 It’s wonderful!
Woohoo!! 😀
Ohh, the Clinique Cheek Pops and the MUFE HD Cream blushes get a thumbs up from me too! Not too convinced by Hourglass’ Ambient powder, but I’ll keep testing other shades!
At least you’re loving those two 🙂
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, Guerlain Meteorites Pearls and Benefit Rockateur Box o’ Powder are a must have in my list!! ..
Yay! 😀
I just placed my first order at Sephora (they now ship to Japan!). Among cheek products, I picked Clinique Cheek Pop and a blush from Tarte. I was hoping to see the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes make the cut!
YAYYY for international shipping!
Gorgeous i love clinique there products are always so nice!!! have you checked out any of sleeks facial products? i know there slightly low end but they do some stunning blushes, highlights and bronzers 🙂
I have tried Sleek’s blushes before!
