Winter 2008 Collections Wrap-up

What were your favorite winter collections this year? Which ones did you skip, which ones did you end up with everything?

You know what I noticed?  Most brands don’t have winter collections–they only bother with releasing holiday collections, gift sets, and/or palettes or some combination thereof.  MAC dominates the winter ’08 season with its non-holiday releases!

    Dame Edna
    Red She Said
    Little Darlings (even though it was a holiday collection)
    and dunno if it counts as a winter one, but
    Brunette, Blonde, Redhead
    I’m really looking forward to some of the colors from it.

      I figured Brunette, Blonde, Redhead is a spring launch. I know cosmetics tends to start releasing spring stuff in January/February. Besides, the collection *feels* more suited for spring than winter (like Chill), you know what I mean?

      I can’t wait for BBR, though! What do you want from it?

        Chignon Lipstick
        B-Babe Lipstick
        All’s Fair Lipstick
        Quick Tease Lipglass
        Strawberry Blonde Lipglass
        There are a couple other things I want, but I probably won’t end up getting them.

          I’m so mad that it’s Strawbery Blonde lipGLASS. Lipstick is so fab, and it needs to come back so everyone can get it!

            Yeah, at first I mostly bought just eyeshadow and stuff like that, so I have a bunch of colors for that, but not a lot of lip colors, so I decided I need some. I’m currently waiting for 2 palettes to come in. I ordered Infatuating Rose palette and Manish Arora palette on ebay. So I’m really excited, especially to finally be getting Goin Bananas.

              Ahh, makes sense! I was the SAME way. Eyeshadow up the wazooo! Then I fell in love with lipsticks, gloss, you name it–so of course, had to stock up on it all.

              I’m so glad you got the Manish palette!! YAY!

            Yeah, I got all excited and had to do a little dance over getting it. It cost me $60, but it’s so worth it.

    I’m skipping Dame Edna. The pictures scare the b-jebbes out of me.

    Chill and Monogram were pretty cool.

      What did you like best from Chill/Monogram?

      I’m hoping my Dame Edna stuff arrives today or tomorrow (I ordered via phone from PRO), but we’ll have to see… Anything NOT to have to go to the mall on Friday!

    I got a blush from Chanel and a few items from the Clinique Blackberry Bloom collection. The Dame Edna collection hasn’t arrived to the UK yet, but I’ll probably pick up one or two things from it.

    I love Chanel Tweed Blushes the most, MAC Dame Edna’s the one that interests me the least =X

    I didn’t love the holiday collections this year.

    I liked Chill more than I thought I would. I love that penultimate liner.

    I passed on Dame Fredna.

    Looking forward to Blonde Brunette Redhead!
