Way too many things! Love the blog and reviews. :)

  2. Sheena F

Chanel Rouge Allure Lacques…almost all of them! Yikes!

    • Sheena F

Ahh and I forgot: Butter London nail polishes, Chanel Nouvelle Vague polish, MAC Mattenes and UD 24/7 liners. I make sure to check Temptalia if the item I want to buy has been reviewed yet. Thanks Christine for saving me from purchases that I could potentially regret! We definitely appreciate all your hard work and dedication in giving us beauty addicts sneak peaks and reviews of product launches.

    • Which didn’t you grab? 😉

  3. Michelle

Chanel Dragon, Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill shadows and MAC Jealousy Wakes are the first that come to mind.

More importantly, it’s saved me money by steering me away from under-performing products that I normally would have bought just because they were new or limited edition.

Thanks for all your great work Christine! : )

  4. Soo

Armani Eyes to Kill! Lust Red is my favorite and I probably wouldn’t have known about them if you hadn’t reviewed them, Christine! also, Jealousy Wakes, Deborah Lippmann’s Lady Sings the Blues, and a lot of Zoya colors I own. :)

  5. Ruth

OMG Christine, are you kidding ? Do you have 10 years to spare so I can get started on what I’ve purchased because of this blog ? LOL !

  6. karen

jack black lipbalm, giorgio armani eyes to kill intense, Chanel cleaning mousse with exfoliating beads(forgot the name), TheBalm eyeshadows… ANYTHING A+ :) !!

  7. Frances

Nearly everything. Rouge Allure, Rouge G, Illusion d’Ombre, Burberry cosmetics. I research all prospective purchases on Temptalia and Makeupalley, but mostly on Temptalia. I’m quite dark, and if I see from your reviews that a product lacks pigmentation, I know to avoid it.

Thanks for your awesome site, Christine!

      • Frances

I forgot to add: A Clarisonic Mia, and Shu Uemura’s Dance in Glitter lashes!!

Will you be doing a look with those lashes? I’ve something planned with them for New Year’s Eve, but I’d love to see what you do with them! I was thinking of a bright silver-and-black eye, polished skin and nude lips, with big waves and my little black dress.

        • I want to, but I have no idea what to do with them, LOL! I feel like it has to be one really AWESOME look! Your look for NYE sounds great!

          • Ashley Seme

Thanks to your post about their Thanksgiving sale, I also crossed those lashes off my “Too Die For” list and gave in and bought them! I’m super ridiculously excited but also pondering the right look to pair with these! ;). I like your vision, Frances!

    Let’s see…

    From Urban Decay:
-Naked palette (I probably would have bought it anyways once I saw it in person, but seeing it here made me order it online as soon as it came out)
    -5th anniversary eyeliner set
    -5th anniversary eyeshadow palette
-Super saturated high gloss lip colour in F-bomb

MUFE Aqua Liner in 10 (red), and while I was going to eventually buy an Aqua Cream, this blog definitely sped up that purchase.

    From MAC:
    -226 brush
-Nail lacquer in Spirit of Truth (that navy blue that came out with Wonder Woman)
… actually, all of my MAC purchases have been prompted by this blog because I didn’t really start to shop there until after I started reading Temptalia

And if I can find it, I’m totally buying that green nail polish (not the glitter one) from China Glaze’s holiday collection.

  9. Elizabeth

Let’s see…… TheBalm eyeshadows, the 88 color palette from Coastal Scents… And now I can pretty much blame you for any Urban Decay item I buy because I always read your reviews :)

  10. Elizabeth

Oh by the way, on the flip side, your reviews also sometimes save me from buying bad products! :)

  11. Catherine

I heard about theBalm nude ‘tude palette from your blog, and bought it after seeing the black Friday deal listed (on your blog too!) everything else, i always check your site for opinions before I buy. Thanks!!

  12. divinem (Melissa)

OMG, are you kidding?! I’d have to go back over two years to consider. When a new collection comes out and you review it, I create a document with the things I want from that collection. Then I set an alarm in my computer’s email client to remind me the night before it becomes available (especially if it’s a highly coveted item).

Just for fun, I’ll go back and try to figure it out. :-)

  13. Jeanie

Let’s see here: Hourglass’ siren lipgloss, Illamasqua’s bacterium nail varnish, MAC candy yum yum lipstick, TheBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer, OCC lip tars, Chanel’s beige lame eye shadow and the triomphal lip gloss, Urban Decay’s BOS NYC, Korres silicone-free primer, Sugarpill in lumi, goldilux, and royal sugar, NARS desperado nail varnish, and others I can’t think of lol! You’re awful hard on my wallet, Christine :)

  14. Lainey

Korres natural blush! I had only ever used the lip butters and never taken a glance at their face products. It’s one of my favorite blushes now though :)I also always check here first before buying from new MAC collections.

  15. Brydie

One of the things I love about this blog is that you will still review (and other purchase!) things that have been proven to not work for you (eg MAC MES), because you recognise that they often still work for some- and to help others to keep saving their money for better products, haha!. So thanks heaps for being so dedicated so as to keep persevering with “dud” products!

For me, this blog has prompted me to buy tons! The latest was part of the MAC Christmas collections, and coming up is some very expensive (especially for us Aussies!) Guerlain foundation and powder. Which I will be putting under lock and key so my sis can’t steal it like all my other makeup, haha!

  16. BooBooNinja

    the Balm!

  17. Kenzie

Just to name a few: Dior amber diamonds (favorite!!!) BE ready duos, various nail polishes, several MAC collections, Tarina Tarentino Palletes and Chanel Coco shines. Thanks a lot 😛 Though you have helped me spend a lot you have definitely saved me from making quite a few inferior purchases!

  18. oh, the list is loong but most notably are Dior Skin Shimmers, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar, Chanel Rouge Allure Byzantine, Chanel Prelude, Armani Eyes to Kill, Chanel Rouge Coco, Guerlain Rouge G. Phew! and I’m sure this list is not exhaustive.

  19. Jillian

    Most recently- Miss Liberty!

Thanks for all you do, Christine- you save us lots of money, too!

  20. Too much. 😉 A couple of nail polish swatches and everything you swatched for MAC I liked.

  21. Too many things…Chanel RAL Dragon before it gets discontinued, MAC Jealousy Wakes so so, but I am fussy anyway.., MAC 226 got 3 of them in Aug. 2011, the BALM Shady Lady I and II, UD’s- Naked Palette, 15th anniversary pencils and the palette, AIW palette, Vol 3 and 4 BOS, Guerlain Rouge G Gigolo, Dolce N Gabanna- Rose the One Shimmer powder, Sugar Pill Collection.

But more items I would not buy than buy. At least, I know when something hits the market I can go test it out and see for myself. Got some intro also from readers such as Fyrinnae.

The best part is I get way way advanced notice as to when something I want hits the market and I avoid the mad rush.

    • Every time I think about reviewing Fyrinnae, their site is down! But hope you managed to find a window when they were open!

      • Katie

Me too, I have yet to try Fyrinnae because I can NEVER order anything!

      • Fyrinnae is from the Tacoma,Washington. It took me about 6 weeks to finally order something during this summer…because when I was ready to order, the site was either turned off completely or not active. The best time I found it to be active was between 11am-4pm PST during the weekdays. Finally I ordered my about 11pm PST, then it turned off again soon after I order. So you have to plan ahead to order, make a list and do it fast. Sometimes it would not have the pixie potion which I was eyeing for when the shadows were there or vice versa. Here is their blog link if it is ok for you to post. I am just one of your readers who read this blog as a way of relaxation in my stressful life.

  22. Emily

This blog has prompted me to look into and buy more Dior items (especially all the available Skin Shimmer Stars!), LE MAC items (btw, I love the comparison of re-released LE items to the older releases for pigment/color/texture differences — PLEASE keep doing that when available!), UD eyeshadow sets (Naked, 15th Anniversary set), Zoya nail polishes, China Glaze nail polishes, Korres stuff, Benefit stuff, and to some extent NARS stuff (bought the Sheer Glow foundation). I definitely wanted to purchase some Burberry shadows and Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill shadows. I’ll look into Hourglass later on, too.

    I love this blog! <3

  23. Nicole R.

I absolutely love this blog, it’s been part of my daily reading since 2008. It has definitely prompted me to purchase countless products, especially ones that I may not have thought about purchasing had I not seen a good review on them. One of those products (which I’m now completely obsessed with) are Jack Black lip balms, I’m a complete convert, Thanks Christine!!! What’s more important than the purchasing of products is the fact that this blog has helped me to save money by not purchasing mediocre or under performing products! Thanks again Christine!!!

  24. Melissa

So many things! Make Up For Ever Aqua Creams, NARS lipsticks (I love a good, dry, matte lipstick), the Naked palette, goodness . . . . so many things!

  25. Nina

Jack Black lipbalm (I bought 3 within a month!), Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss in Succubus and Inglot eyeshadow. Oh, and I’m eyeing several Bobbi Brown lippies 😉

  26. The Naked palette and OCC lip tars!! I haven’t bought everything that you rate an A+, but they are most definitely on my wishlist now!! I really love how you quantify your reviews by giving a scoring system and giving numbers or percentages on how much you’ll save or get on a product compared to other brands, it makes buying the item so much more justifiable!!!

  27. Shayna

Since I found your blog I always check for swatches and reviews before buying something.

  28. BiancaCA

I always check here first to see what u rated a product & your favorite products are. Some of the items I purchased are Benefit sugarbomb, coralista, watts up, skinny jeans, busy signal. MAC ricepaper, goldmine, nylon, lucky green, soft brown, bronze, dalliance, jealousy wakes, lychee luxe, stereo rose & brushes. Thebalm Mary loumanizer, betty loumanizer, muppet palette. UD 15 anniversary eyeshadow palette, 15 anniversary naked eyeliner set, clash set, lit 24/7. Chanel dragon, topkapi eyeshadow quad, espionage blush. Geez! The list can go on & on but I’ll stop. There’s way too much!

  29. Stacey

Seriously, I dont make ANY online makeup purchase without checking this blog first, especially the mac releases!
Ive bought with confidence several MAC brushes, Guerlain lipsticks, Illamasqua Lipgloss (my new LOVE!) Armani Eyes to kill intense, TheBalm eyeshadows and bronzers/blush ect and various other primers, eyeshadows, powders and polishes!
I always look for swatches here and on Karla Sugar but the one thing that makes your blog better than just a place to see swatches is your EXPERT opinion. I totally trust the opinions of EmilyNoel on youtube, Dusty O Hunter, TiffanyD, Xsparkage and Christine @ Temptalia

  30. DevilishDoll

Welllll…about $4,000 worth of makeup over the past few years =p

  31. Magdalena

MAC Neutral Dazzlesphere – I really thought it was a deal! and the shades are so pretty :)

  32. Alyssa

I think the first thing I bought was China Glaze polishes from the Vintage Vixens collection. After that, I was on this site shifting through swatches for ages (the swatch gallery has since answered this need) putting together my ideal MAC 15 pan. I love that this site has things as true to color as you can get with thorough reviews and I feel a ton smarter going in to a counter and having knowledge of the item I’m buying.

  33. Kelly C.

Jack Black Lip Balm! It’s truly been a lip saver for me.

I do appreciate your effort to make thorough and fair reviews of all your products. That’s not to say I always agree with you, but you can only give an opinion based on your own experience. : )

  34. mumtaza

the balm palettes and eyeshadows, wet n wild eyeshadows…lord, there’s really too many things. i am getting overwhelmed thinking about it! thank you for all your meticulous, serious, respectful, hard work!!

  35. three-fourths of makeup collection is based on what you review, basically!

  36. Vicky

Well many things i been following your blog for almost a year and this my first tie writing a comment…. Mac collections usually what gets me to buy especially lipsticks and the balm nude tube eyeshadow palette
urbay decay palettes, zoya nail polish and also when you have the weekly sales coupon codes that prompts me to buy and save money for more stuff… i love your blog!

  37. Lacey J

Inglot and thebalm Marylou Maninizer and some mac limited edition stuff! I need to buy more stuff from thebalm though. Kinda bored of MAC, actually though I am cutting way down on makeup purchases, so its probably just going to be a few thebalm eyeshadow palettes. On my list based on reviews on here is the new thebalm nude palette. I missed the sale but oh well. :(

I am catching some cyber monday sales so its no big deal :))

    Thanks for everything

  38. Melissa Wagner

Since I started to check up on temptalia daily, I’ve bought the Urban Decay Naked Palette, theBalm Shady Lady vol.2 Palette, theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer, theBalm Betty-Lou Manizer, and a Benefit gift set including That Gal Primer, Bad Gal Lash, and Sugarbomb blush! I’m not much of a high-end makeup purchaser because I’m 15 and my makeup obsession is not supported, so I’m proud of my little high-end collection (:

  39. malia

Wow, I cant even begin to name everything myself!! Although admittedly, I just started reading since a little earlier than MAC’s Venomous Villains collection. Chanel RAL, Chantecaille, Zoya… but I really appreciate everything your blog provides! I saved a lot of trouble because I wanted “everything” from MACs Wonder Woman and another collection (forgot the name but it was the one with the Sakura blush)… and I ended up with only a few good items. I totally depend on your lip swatches too, thank you!!

  40. Victoria

Ohhhh where to begin? Chanel rouge allure gloss and lacques, the five Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense eyeshadows, NARS Rajasthan Duo, TheBalm Mary Lou Luminizer, TheBalm eyeshadows, Milani Liquif’eye eyeliner, Make Up For Ever Aqua Liners, Guerlain Rouge Automatique and so on…

And I am so tempted to buy the Hourglass eyeshadow duos next time I am in the US… all because of you!

  41. CatherineM

The Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polishes – I now own an obscene number of them – and the Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows. When I first saw them at the beauty counter I resolutely walked by, but then I saw them on your blog and had to try them myself – I now own 5…

  42. NatalieK

The blog was MURDER on my wallet when I first got into makeup! Haha, it used to be “Oh, Christine rated this an A+? Gotta go buy it…” Nowadays though, it keeps me from spending on dud products and I really only have products that I actually like. I literally check for a Temptalia swatch or review on any beauty product before I buy! Some notable things that I have bought because of Temptalia: Illamasqua Baptiste, Dior Amber Diamond, Nars Montego Bay, Urban Decay Naked lipstick, MUFE aqua creams, the Naked palette, lots of MAC (Stereo Rose, Marine Life, etc), Chanel polishes, hmmm probably almost everything I have since I look at reviews before purchasing! Heh, it’s a good hurt. :)

  43. When i see product launches on her, i pore over every item. I write down the ones that look good and then when they are reviewed i will decide whether or not to buy them depending on what Christine thinks and the product grade – and other products i may not have included may get an A grade so i sneakily add those to my list! 😀

  44. flyavsted

The Balm (two palettes) – the only items you and I disagree on the quality 😉 Armani Eyes To Kill – from 3 to 8. I want the new ones so badly, waiting for your reviews! 😉 Almost everything MAC. I used to be a Guerlain, Dior and Chanel girl only.

  45. Lani

Chanel Rouge Allure Lacque Dragon – sadly it didn’t look as lovely on my NC15 skin as it does on you! :(

  46. A lot of nail polishes, Rouge G lipsticks from Guerlain, and in general, it helps me decide what to buy – or not – from new collections!

  47. Edelmc

Loads! The thing I love the most is nars eye shadow base- it’s fantastic and I discovered it on this blog

  48. malia

oh sorry for the second comment but I too bought Armani shadows from reading about here, although I only have two. The one thing I can think of that I regret getting was Jack Black lip balm, I personally detest it, I dont like the texture, feel, taste, etc.

  49. I bought the Naked palette thanks partly to your review, but I ended up returning it because I realized I had a lot of dupes or near dupes. The quality was great and I might have kept it if there weren’t so many other things I’d like to have. I value your opinions and your thoroughness and will continue to get psyched when you love a product! That Korres natural blush is awfully tempting :).

  50. Everything, except for indie products. I’m surprised there’s no mob of broke beauty junkies coming over you already. 😀 (Kidding, I love your blog too much to chase you with a pitchfork)

  51. Quite a lot! I’m a MAC fan because of you! I bought the MoistureCover because you recommended it, I wanted to get a Prolongwear liquid foundation, but it hadn’t launched in Hong Kong then, so I got a Studio Fix instead. Does this count?
I recently asked a friend in the States to get me some benefit powder, cover girl lipstick too, mainly because of your fabulous reviews.
I bought a Revlon lipgloss after I saw your beautiful swatches. I’m running out of my fingers… 😀
    I love your reviews.

  52. Yazmin

OMG christine, your blog has made me buy loads (i.e rose quartz msf, im going to selfridges to buy the giorgio armani eyes to kill in shade 14, when i visit birmingham, uk in two weeks, because it really looks fantastic on you!), and saved me tons of money as well (the recent paint pots, the big bounce eyeshadows).

Your swatches make all the difference and your views. In the uk we cant buy an item and return it if we dont like it after opening and swatching, so i really rely on your swatches and your opinions. Thankyou so much for the hardwork, i really appreciate it xx

  53. Sofia

Chanel Prelude eyeshadow quad. I wanted a neutral (taupe) palette, but found most of the neutral palettes at the moment to be orangey. Then I saw you review and the swatches looked lovely. I live in Europe however, so mine has the little round eyeshadows, still beautiful though. Thanks Christine!

  54. Inge

Guerlain and chanel product and MAC also I never really bought MAC until I started visting your blog

  55. Inge

Also, I just really want to shout out blogs and youtube beauty gurus… I have learned so much about makeup and beauty from these outlets. I have learned to do things with cosmetics that I didnt think possible unless I was a makeup artist. Beauty blogs really are such a treasure.

  56. Several MAC collections (quite cute, dare to wear, glitter and ice.. and more)

    China glaze tinsel town
    Mufe HR foundation
MAC brushes (242, 217,219 and the flat foundation brush) I was using sephora brushes before.

Giorgio armani eyes to kill is on my wish list stillcant decide on a color (that i dont already have)
    Urban decay 15th anniversary palette

And plz excuse the typos i am using my cell phone to read the blog.

  57. dar

I don’t think I would have tried any products from theBalm or any of the Bare Escentuals Ready eyeshadows without your reviews.

  58. Raquel

MAC Pro Longwear Goes and Goes !!

  59. Mariella

Oh my – there is SO much!!! There are brands I didn’t even know existed before reading this blog and which have become standbys now (TheBalm is one example; Hourglass is another). I’d never have bought half the MAC stuff I have, nor would I have tried the CoverGirl lipsticks but I read here how good they are. My purchase of UD’s BOSIII was motivated by this blog (not being able to get Nars Rajasthan, which I saw here, and then reading that Loaded from BOSIII was very close!) and most recently, Tarina Taratino’s Dreamy Palette. Up next is the Nars lipstick that was shown yesterday!

  60. Salvinia

I never really thought about it before, but lots of stuff, actually! I read a lot of makeup blogs and tend to do tons of research before I get anything expensive, but generally you have the best swatches and pictures and your reviews are always super thorough (and honest) which is great.
I would say most of my NARS purchases were influenced by this blog since I never really considered getting into the brand before based on its exhorbitant cost in Australia. It’s definitely your fault I spent $72 on Dogon, lol!
Most recently, I’ve fallen hard for Illamasqua, and although I would never in the past have spent more than like, $6 on a nail polish, I decided to splash out on “Throb” based on your raves about their formula and I am VERY impressed!
Your blog has also deterred me from buying lots of stuff I might have done otherwise and not been happy with, like certain MAC LE products, which is not a bad thing, believe me!

  61. Georgina

Ohhh many lovely things from Guerlain meteorites and a Rouge G, Jack Black lip balm to the Urban Decay Naked Palette. There are many more beauty products that I have bought either based on Christine’s recommendation or after checking what Christine has to say about an item that I’m interested in. I have not been disappointed yet so thank you, Christine! :)

  62. my

Oooh…where do I begin? hehe! I’ve bought a lot of stuff, like UD Naked Palette, Chanel lipsticks, theBalm Shadowy Lady vol. 2, MAC limited edition cosmetics…basically those products this blog has given an A to A+ grades. Temptalia is essential to me when it comes to shopping for cosmetics and skincare because it helps me distinguish between the bad ones and the good ones. So, again, thanks Christine! :)

  63. Jill

I had never heard of Illamasqua before this blog, and now I have three of their lip glosses. Their pigmentation is amazing.

When I’m in the mood to buy makeup, I always page through the swatch gallery–that’s been an amazing help. While it’s easy to say this blog helps me SPEND money, I actually think in the long run I SAVE money because I’m able to check out a swatch first and really decide if something is worth buying.

Other products off the top of my head that I can think of, eyeshadows from the Surf! Baby collection, MAC Plushlash mascara, various Paint Pots, NARS Galapagos eyeshadow, NARS Angelika lip gloss. It’s SO helpful to see them on someone before buying, and your reviews are always honest and in-depth. You’ve been an amazing resource!

  64. Allison

It’s quite a list, since your reviews are the best and I love your swatch pictures (even if Im paler!).
Due to your good reviews Ive purchased: most of the MAC Mega Metal shadows, both theBalm Shady Lady palettes and the Muppets palette (totally lucky on that one, but I love it!), UD 15th anniversary shadow and NAked palettes, UD 24/7 liners, NYC palette (the one you did a look with… cant remember the name), Wet’n’Wild Trios (just a few), MAC lipsticks, and most recently Bare Minerals Ready shadows in Escape and Truth. Im so loving Truth!

  65. amanda

aw geez… off the top of my head.. and just within the last like.. 2 weeks..

    Tarte Exposed
UD Perversion, but had to get it in a set
…..which led to buying both sets
    Chanel Dragon
    I could go on..

it helps because i know you’re actually REAL. <3

  66. Vicky

Guerlain lipsticks, Chanel many things (LOL), Guerlain Meteorites, MAC Blot Powder, Milk of magnesia for oily skin via comments on a post, many MAC lipsticks I can’t swatch in person, … I guess I could go on. I love temptalia to bits. :)

    • Vicky

OMG! Jack Black lip balm. I love it. I have the most sensitive lips ever and they stay healthy even when the balm is gone, something that has never happened before. Everyone with lip problems should try it. I use the original one.

    • How is the milk of magnesia helping you out?

      • Vicky

I hardly ever forget it anymore, but I can definitely tell the difference when I do. I put it on right after I clean my skin, before the sunscreen.

I avoid applying to the cheek area because mine aren’t oily, so it gives me a tight feeling if I apply milk of magnesia to them.

Other than tightness if applied to a dry area, I haven’t had any side effects. It is also a cheap product you can find easily.

I highly recommend it for people with oily skin that want to keep the shine away for a longer period. :)

  67. -Urban Decay’s Naked Palette (I probably would have bought it anyways but your review DID play a role)
-Milani’s Liqi’eye eyeliner in black: I’m on a quest for the perfect black eye pencil and your compare/contrast was a HUGE help!

  68. A product that sticks out in my mind was MAC Pink Cult blush. This blog definitely helps me edit down the products I need to have from new collections!

  69. Evelyn

EVERYTHING! Most recently, Chanel Dragon. But I love the things you prompt me to buy, because I know they are of great quality. Like others have said, you have also steered me away from some lemons!

  70. Just in the last week I’ve bought two MUFE Aqua Creams (16 and 13) and NARS Damage lipstick because of reviews here, and I’d say half of the cosmetic items on my Christmas wish list are Temptalia recommendations.

  71. heidi

The better question is what has temptalia prompted me not to buy. Which is almost every mac collection this year (except surf baby amazing!) You did inspire my MUFE cream eyeshadows and Nars blush purchases

  72. Rachel

I definitely would not have known about theBalm Cast Your Shadow palette until it was too late if not for you!

  73. Carrie

Let’s see…I’ve been following your blog since “Barbie Loves MAC” so there’s more than I can remember I’m sure, but off the top of my head: Chanel RAL in Ming, TheBalm Jealous Jordana e/s, the BE High Shine eyeshadows (the packaging actually works really well for me somehow!), Lancome Voile de Rose liptick, Wet & Wild Comfort Zone palette, OCC Lip Tars. And many many LE MAC items from various collections.

    It’s been fun!

  74. Verojo

LOTS!!! I really love your blog and depend on your reviews for the products. I feel that you give an honest review of the product. Some of my favorites are Jack Black lip balm(LOVE), MAC lip products and my UD shadows/liners. I have bought and tried products I would never have thought of trying if it were not for your blog!

  75. Carol Rutz

You helped me save money when you mentioned a dupe for a high priced nail polish. It worked well. Thanks!

  76. Wendy

Wow, what hasn’t is prompted me to buy?? I love it. Christine you do such a wonderful job and helped me to step out of my box. I love Urban Decay and have recently tried both Tarina Tarantino Palettes Dreamy and Delightful. I have also picked up a couple of Givenchy lipsticks and love them as well. Oh I could go on and on…

  77. Evelyn

Oh so many things! lol Blushes and lipsticks, most definitely.

  78. Kelsey

Guerlain. Especially the Rouge Automatiques. I LOVE them now.

  79. Ellen

So much!!! Your reviews and website are so helpful :)

  80. jess

I have always loved MAC, but after I found ur blog,I am more prepared for the launches so I pretty much buy it all.

  81. Nina Van Jacob

A lot of products I would not have considered buying. I trust your opinion over anyone else’s. Like the new urban decay book of shadows, after reading your review I decided not to waste my money on it. Thank you for this blog:)

  82. Kristin

Nars everything for dark skin! I don’t recall how I ran across that post but I use it constantly. I wasn’t always a Nars fan but you’ve helped convert me. Now I can’t get enough! I also recently picked up the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser to see how I like it(I’m a skincare product junkie, too!).

I’ve been so anti-MAC in the past, but now I’m considering some of their products as well. My sister says I’m obsessed. I should blame you. 😉

    • How amazing that the post helped you so much! :) MAC has some really great products — and their permanent range is definitely good overall. They can do an awesome product, but they can have some flops, too.

  83. Listing the items that you’ve prompted me to buy would cause me to inventory my collections…and that might lead me to worry about the size of both. Let’s examine the quality of what I’ve purchased since finding your blog instead. Makeup is a large part of my budget, understandably. You’ve saved me so much time and money – not only in terms of product, but the gas that it took to get it and return it – that I can’t imagine making some of my purchases without you.

Okay, the UD 15th Anniversary Pallete: I woke up, got on my phone and brought your blog up, read your review and bought it. From reading your review to the purchase took about 10 minutes. You were right – it’s awesome!

    • I’m so happy to hear it, Kathy! It’s always been my goal to help others make more purchases they love and less that they are more lukewarm on (or even dislike) – so ultimately less returns and a stash you love more.

      Thank you!

A lot! :) But on the top of my head, Butter London nail polishes, China Glaze polishes, UD Naked palette, Zoya nail polishes – see a trend? I’ve become a nail polish fiend and I’m loving it!

here are just a few of the items you inspired me to buy:

    UD 15th anniversary palette
    the balm frat boy
    mac lightscapade
    jack black lip balm

i always look up reviews online before i buy things, so there are other items i wanted to buy, then read your review first which confirmed that i wanted to buy the item.

you’ve also saved me from many, many bad purchases!

  86. bxboricua

Jack Black lip balms, Zoya nail polish, UD 15th Anniversary pencil set, and various MAC stuff over the past 2 years. (I also have Rouge Gs and Eyes to Kill on my wish list lol) You’ve also saved me tons of money with your great reviews! Thank you Christine :)

Your swatches and honest grading system allow me to make an informed decision about most makeup — blushes and lipsticks especially. But there are times when I see an item and automatically know that it’s for me or not for me. You are an invaluable resource, Christine. Your passion for describing the product and its plusses and minuses is a rare find, anywhere.

  88. A lot of things, actually, but most notably Chanel Dragon and you convinced me to try Guerlain’s Rouge G lipsticks, you naughty thing! My bank account will never be the same.

    • LOL! I hope you find that Rouge Gs live up to the hype. Honestly, still my favorite lipstick overall – texture, opacity (as I do prefer more opaque myself), wear, feel, and color range!

      • They are absolutely worth it. I figured I’d try one and now I have more than half a dozen. And I can’t wait to get more. These and the Rouge d’Armani lipsticks are the best ever. Although my bank account might protest, I thank you for getting me addicted!

  89. Karen

Chanel dragon, thebalm eyeshadows, uh everything, lol. Work in a busy ER and we girls get together and ask if anyone saw your review for the day. We love you.

  90. Mandy

MAC Unknown Pleasures Mattene….now my favorite lipstick!

  91. Emi

I just bought Bare Escentuals The Playlist Holiday Eyeshadow Palette based on your review. 😀

  92. Sophie

Several MAC products. Also, Chanel Dragon. I saw it available at a Chanel counter this Friday and I practically pounced on it, haha.

  93. Vanessa V

almost everything from the MAC Hello Kitty collection and on… I say thank you, my bank account doesn’t lol… great reviews and swatches helps me determine what to buy and what not to buy.

  94. Helen

    Way too many things!!
Before I started reading your blog I could put all the make-up I owned in the Bare Essentials starters box. My make-up stash has extremely grown since then! Before I purchase anything I always check Temptalia to look at reviews and photos. So thank you for your hard work!!

  95. Josiane

Chanel Dragon, bloggers obsession eye shadows, mac show orchid, Giorgio Armani eyes to kill, Nars blushes…

  96. Ana G.

Chanel products(several ones), Rouge Dior Versailles, Guerlain Lingerie de Peau, several Mac products…to be honest, these days, I only buy products that have been reviewed by you Christine…I just don’t want to risk wasting my money when your reviews are so amazing!

  97. Ria

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque (in Santal, not in Dragon – I can’t carry reds off) and Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani which have become my favourite lipsticks!

  98. MAC Jealousy Wakes, of course, and many nail polishes. Mostly, this blog has saved me from making bad purchases (hi there, MAC Big Bounce shadows!), which I would have done if Temptalia did not exist. :)

  99. Thanks to Temptalia I’ve been enabled to buy many things – in particular the Urban Decay 50th Anniversary palette, and Deborah Lippmann’s ‘Glitter in the Air’ 😀

  100. Jen

    Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette!
