Urban Decay Get Baked for Summer!
Posted in: Eye Products, Makeup Palettes, Product Photos/Swatches, Urban DecayDate: April 29th, 2009

Urban Decay Get Baked Eye Kit ($28.00) includes Baked, Half Baked, Twice Baked, and Flipside eyeshadows, along with a travel-sized 24/7 Eye Pencil in Bourbon. It also comes with a mini Sin primer potion.
Baked is a stunning shade of ultra pigmented, deep bronze. Half Baked is a softer, more golden-toned bronze shimmer shade. Twice Baked is a dark, chocolatey brown with subtle gold shimmer. Flipside is a bluish-teal with blue-green shimmer. I love the Baked shades, because they’re really rich in color and go on so smoothly. I just see these being stunning in neutral looks, especially during the summer. Flipside is a bluer version of MAC Shimmermoss, and it is a welcome addition in my collection!
I already have Bourbon and Sin in full-size, and I do like both. LOVE Bourbon, but I love all of the 24/7 Pencils. I like Sin for a shimmery base — I do, personally, like it more than regular UDPP.
Get Baked is a great summer palette with a good price to boot. Check out your local Sephora or Urban Decay counter to see for youself!

Wednesday, April 29, 2009Holy crap! Those colors are so gorgeously pigmented! The packaging drew me in first of all, but when I saw the colors inside I wasn’t as excited as I thought I would be. However, seeing your swatches has totally sold me! The colors are more even more vibrant and beautiful than they look.
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009UD has some crazy pigmentation in their eyeshadows! I hope you’ll give it another shot ;)
Archelle
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I would love this if it had any other color but teal. Teals and blues look soooo bad on me. :( Please, UD, make a purple version!!
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009Aww :( I think I’d have liked a highlighter or maybe a really light brown in it instead of teal. It’s pretty, but I’ll rarely use it!
isabelle

Wednesday, April 29, 2009UD rocks in my opinion. Behind MAC, they are my second fave when it comes to shadows. I live by & use daily their 24/7 pencils & am proud to own every single color they have – eek!! LOL! Their shadows are super pigmented and come in rockin’ colors. They make great palettes & this one is no different. Such a great travel palette to own. You got your base, liner & 4 awesome shadows to create everything from a daytime look, to a dramatic look to just a sheer wash of color. Baked = LOVE :)
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009UD is great! I definitely agree that they have some AMAZING pigmentation in their shadows :)
Teresa
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I want this soooooooo bad! It is just simply PERFECT! Can’t wait to get it! It’s $34 Canadian, but still worth it

Christine

Sandy
Wednesday, April 29, 2009This is a must buy for me. I have 8 of the 24/7 liners and Bourbon is my most used one. I don’t have any UD eyeshadows though and this is a good place to start
Sai
Wednesday, April 29, 2009Three of the colors except for Baked are in the UD Sustainable palette I own, and they definitely are amazing. I love using Half Baked and Twice Baked for an everyday brown look.
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009Aww, it’s tough, but I’d say you could pass safely :P
Sai
Wednesday, April 29, 2009…But i sorta wanna get this because I love all of UD’s palettes.

Wednesday, April 29, 2009WANT – I also want to try the 24/7 liners – I should have bought that mini set they had at Chrismas, silly me.
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009They come out regularly, though, so you can get it this year :P
cloudburst
Friday, May 8, 2009Awesome, I’ll keep my eye out for them!
Kelly
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I saw this on Sephora and thought it looked great. Now with these swatches and review I bought it! Thanks, I’m really excited about having bourbon, this is my first 24/7 liner and I have heard great things
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009Happy hauling, Kelly! Enjoy the palette :)
Tamara
Wednesday, April 29, 2009Loving this palette! I’m soo glad it doesn’t have the glittery eyeshadows in it. I’ll be getting it soon!!
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009I can’t wait to hear what you think when you get it, Tamara!
KaylaK
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I love this palette! I got it when UD had friends and family, colors all work so well together.
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009Nice!!
jamie
Wednesday, April 29, 2009i think it is too shiny, like reminds me of preteen sparkle eyeshadows.
the packaging is super cute tho!
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009They’re definitely shimmery/frosty!
Miri
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I bought this as soon as it came out on Sephora’s website…I happened to find it by accident. Thought it was so cute and pretty and just couldn’t resist.
I love it. I wear it quite often
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009What are you favorite combos, Miri?
Heather
Wednesday, April 29, 2009Gosh, I swear I was just looking at this palette and thinking about buying it. I love the colors, so if I have some extra money around I might buy it.
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009I hope you can get it, Heather!
Tatiana
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I hope that you can make a look with these colors so i can try them on me
Christine
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I’m going to try!
sprut6
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I like this a lot but I think baked and twice baked are too similar. I wish they had put in a highlight color instead of both of those. If they had one highlight color I think I would get it for sure.
sprut6
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I meant baked and half baked are really similar not twice baked. :P
Christine
Wednesday, April 29, 2009It would have been nice to have a highlight color to make this a better palette for travel :)
shonn
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I think I have to have this!!
Any good deals now with it?? I know they recently had F&f…
Christine
Wednesday, April 29, 2009No deals at the moment, I don’t think…
Letty
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I am getting this palette come rain or shine.
Christine
Wednesday, April 29, 2009Haha! Enjoy it, Letty!
Tiffany
Wednesday, April 29, 2009Oh the eyeshadows are very pigmented and pretty! (:
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009UD always seems to put some nice eyeshadows!
Rena
Wednesday, April 29, 2009I’d like to see this colors in a look.
I’m thinking of picking it up but I’m a little frightened of the blue! I wouldn’t know how to wear it.
mLacey464
Thursday, April 30, 2009I agree!! I just bought this- so excited but now sure what do use the blue for.
Look request please!
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009I’d use the blue with other greens/blues, to be honest!
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009I’m not a huge fan of teal and browns together (on me), but you could wear them together. I’ll probably wear it with other blues/greens, though!
joyceee
Thursday, April 30, 2009oh my god, i LOVE this. i have it and once i got it i wore it for honestly a week in a row LOL <33
Christine
Thursday, April 30, 2009You have to share some combos, Joyce!!
pretty girl
Friday, May 1, 2009so pretty! but i have EVERYTHING in this set besides baked. :(
would you say baked is close to mac amber lights? or are they totally different? (LOL i am horrible at duping colors!)
Christine
Sunday, May 3, 2009Awww! Baked is similar, though it’s more bronze with less copper. Reminds me of Woodwinked a bit, actually.
Eva
Friday, May 1, 2009Wow, thanks for the swatches, the colours look really great together.
Pricewise it´s a great deal as well. :o)
Christine
Sunday, May 3, 2009My pleasure to share ‘em, Eva! Hope you get it!
Jackie
Friday, May 1, 2009I love this palette- can you tell me if it’s easily dupeable w/mac colors?
It looks like maybe mulch, bronze, woodwinked, parrot? I haven’t swatched this in person, though, so I could be totally off base.
Christine
Sunday, May 3, 2009Hey Jackie,
I’d say that’s about right. Mulch might be a bit too dark, so I’m not sure about that. The only shade that isn’t easily duped is probably the lightest brown shade, but it is really similar to the medium brown shade anyway.
Alison
Friday, May 1, 2009i bought this and i love love love it.
just thought i’d also say that these e/s are the same size as a full size UD shadow, because i dropped my old palette and repressed two of the shades into mac pans and they were full to the brim. so its really good value.
Christine
Sunday, May 3, 2009Awesome! I think these are just a smidgen smaller in size, but not by much (at least by weight).
CeeBee
Sunday, May 3, 2009The shadows are really nice, awesome pigmentation but… but I really REALLY want to try the pencil! Can’t get these in NZ and there are so many shades (like, at least 9 or 10) that I want after checking these out on Sephora (who yes, damn them! don’t ship internationally).
// OK, huff over :-)
Christine
Sunday, May 3, 2009BOO! I can’t get over how limited UD’s distribution is!
May
Friday, September 4, 2009I absolutely cannot live without UD so when I lived abroad, I found out about forwarding services. There are many companies, but I used a U.S.-based forwarding service called Shipito. You order online and Shipito will forward it to you anywhere in the world. Very cheap and worth looking into.
Christine
Friday, September 4, 2009Thanks for sharing, May!
Jillian
