Argh I just bought $60 worth of UD at sephora this weekend… :(

Exactly I was like “Oh cool now I can get my Naked palette!” then of course i read the print that says *excluding the Naked palette* :-/

I hauled Gem of Roses, Lush Amber, and Warmth of Coral from Macy’s.
Then I saw this sale go up, and I finished out my UD 24/7 liner collection (30 colors!)and got the BoSV.3. People, don’t be so mad about the Naked palette! 25% is better than most ever offer! I for one am thrilled I got to collect all those liners.

  8. bribri

does this include in-store as well.

It makes perfect since to exclude the Naked Palette from the F&F sale….. it’s the hottest item from UD, so why make it available at a discount rate instead of making more money by keeping it at the retail price? IDK why people are surprised they excluded the Naked palette. Maybe it’s the business major in me as to why I understand their reasoning behind it. *shrugs*

Hi all. Just wanted to mention to those of you that can’t find one, that if there is a JC Penny near you, the Sephora in there may have the Naked palette. I bought mine there when it was sold out everywhere else, and just yesterday I bought one as a gift.

  11. Tori

I was so looking forward to this sale for the possibility the naked palette would be included :( but its not!!

  12. Angela

loving this! i do not need anything but have no self control when it comes to buying makeup especially UD.

Excluding the naked palette sucks but at least that will stop sellers from buying them out to put them on ebay for three times the price.

hmm i dont know what to buy haha.. i was gonna pick up the naked palette too.. any suggestions christine? i know i could just go through all your reviews.. but off the top of your head (other than eyeshadows) what else do you adore from UD?

  15. Victoria

What are some UD must haves?

    • Hope

eyeshadow, eye primer potion, pencil eyeliner, palettes

      skip: mascara, highlighter, lip products

check temptalia reviews for eyeshadows because there are some duds (el dorado, urb)

shades i like: smog, sin, mildew, electric (matte), darkhorse, virgin, uhh basically anything in the naked palette

24/7 Shadow pencils. If you like duochrome (and purple), Morphine’s a must-have. The 24/7 liners are great, too, but plain black, brown, silver, gold, and even teal have great drugstore dupes, so I’d pick up a more interesting color if I went that route.

The Book of Shadows palette is great, especially if you don’t have many or any of their eyeshadows yet. 25% off is probably as good of a discount as you’d ever get on one of those. There are a few neutrals, a few colors, a black, so it covers quite a few bases. (I do recommend a sticky base like Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy for heavily glittery shades like Uzi or Midnight Cowboy Rides Again.) If you have a hankering for a couple of the Deluxe shadow shades, I’d also recommend the palette for that.

I’d disagree on the lip products, since I like both the Pocket Rocket and the Lip Junkie gloss formulas, but I wouldn’t have ever bought them near full price without having tried them cheaply or free first.

I use both the eye primer, my favorites are the shimmery ones Sin and Greed, but the original works great on all types of shadow finishes, and I use the face primer, but it’s full of dimethicone, so if you’re sensitive to that, skip it.

Oh, and I have a thing of the flavored body powder, and it’s cute and nicely scented but a) I got it heavily discounted online and b) the flavor isn’t general stock, at least any more (it was Gingersnap).

If the colors in the nail set appeal to you, from what I’ve seen with the Apocalypse polish set, the formula’s decent. The Rollergirl palette looked adorable from what I’ve seen, but I only own one of the shades in it–twice over at that, which makes it less appealing to me–so I can’t personally vouch for it.

Nope, not true. They used to do 40% off discounts for their FFS. 25% off might be as good as it gets now, but you could have bought one of the palettes a year ago w/ the 40% off discount.

        • Quinctia

Huh, I never saw that, even going back through most of the UD posts on blogs. I think the last promo from them I saw was in the 20-25% range. I’d certainly jump on a 40% promo!

  16. Roxanne

Too bad Urban Decay STILL doesn’t ship to Canada :/

  17. joi

Well poo..I went to go get the naked palette..and buzzz no cigar.
Just saw this posting..Boo on UD.
