Lancome Pink Sapphire Lipstick
The Summer Season: Lancome Pink Sapphire Lipstick
Lancome Pink Sapphire L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick ($29.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich shade of slightly cooled medium pink with no shimmer, just a glossy sheen. My favorite part about this particular shade of pink is that it’s not too cool–it’s not severely blue-based, which makes it wearable by both warm and cool skin tones with ease. It has nearly opaque color pay off, but more importantly, it makes lips look lush, rich, and smooth. The L’Absolu Rouge formula is silky smooth, creamy, and very moisturizing with nice wear–the more pigmented shades wearing five to six hours for me.
Is this the right pink for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

Hi Christine, would you mind doing a video on how to apply lipstick? I can never get it to look perfect like you do (especially the darker more vibrant colors) and believe me I try!! Thanks in advance!
Beautiful colour. Kinda like a dusty Rose. And it's so flattering. You just rock this colour. Suits you beautifully. And even before I saw it's a Lancome lipstick, I looked at the colour and though.. This might be Lancome. :) See how clever we get on here?! :)
hi christine... lovely shade...but u got me confused...what do i buy fleur de lis or pink sapphire for my pale skin......suggestions please
this one looks gorgeous on your lips Christine! i should consider to buy this lipstick, i'm not a big fan of lipstick, i have many glosses. But i can try this one, haha! well...it looks good on you...!
I'm sad . i didn't found the lipstick :( Maybe doesn't exists in my country do you know about a dupe?? thnx
This is gorgeous! Definitely the pink I've been looking for! I wonder, do you know a less expensive version? I suppose I can always grab a good gwp, and that will justify it though!
I realized this is almost two years after the fact... but I think Mac's Plumful (it's a lustre) is VERY similar. I love Lancome's Pink Sapphire, but Lancome's rose scent makes me super nauseous. I went to the MAC counter this weekend and swatched Lovelorn, Sweetie, and Plumful on my arm. I walked back to my apartment super slowly and carefully and it seems like Plumful is a good match. Hope you get this!
ughhh so gorgeous! the summer season is a terrible season for my wallet LOL. would you say this or bobbi brown pink is better suited for nc42/43?
the l'absolu rouge lipstick formula is my favorite! it's moisturizing, slightly glossy, and lasts. I prefer these over the chanel rouge cocos!
Christine, you're the best! This pink is perfect, I know what I'm buying @ the Lancome counter ths wkend!! :D
I love this one! BTW, I have to say that I love your lipstick posts and I hope you will continue them past the Summer Season wrap up!
Does this color look similar to clinique superbalm moisturizing gloss in lilac? .. if you have that clinique gloss !
Hi Carrie, If you follow me on Twitter, I tweeted that I'm wrapping up The Summer Season this week, so there will be an influx of those kinds of posts, which are about lips. There are also over 7,000 posts in the archives, many of them not about lips that you can check out if you haven't been here before :)
