Dolce & Gabbana Splendid Lipstick
The Summer Season: Dolce & Gabbana Splendid Lipstick
Dolce & Gabbana Splendid Lipstick ($30.00) is an opaque, medium pink that’s bright enough to attract attention to your pout, but not so bright it’s obnoxious. This is a nice in-between pink that’s good for wearability in particular. I love that it’s such a nice medium pink but still opaque. It also has a glossy sheen without being shimmery. All Dolce & Gabbana lipsticks are rose-scented, for the scent-wary. I like it, but I’ve yet to run into a fragranced lipstick I don’t like. I get four to five hours of wear with this lipstick formula, too, which is a bit above average.
Is this the right pink for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

Oh so pretty! Im going to have to order online though :( does it look good on tan skin and hazel eyes?
Beautiful colour this one. I must admit there are very few lipsticks that look bad on you, Christine. The only ones I really don't find very attractive are the very light, chalky "dead" colours. Everything else, even the more risky ones just suit you. Oi... Lucky girl. :)
Such a pretty color. I'm not a rose scent person, so is there any colors similar, in particular mac?
Hi there! I absolutely love this color. Would you please do a quick tutorial on how you do your lips? I love the way you shape it - and it looks like you do it without lip liner? Bye, Lancs
I love that colour... it reminds me of a Dior one I had a long time ago and now I have something to replace it! lol thanks Christine
I want, I want, I want. It is apart of their permanent line? Just need to know if I have time to save money for it lol
I love this color lipstick, i have many pinks two that are similar for a more affordabe price for you are TICKLED PINK by american beauty $11 at Kohls and also TICKLED PINK 165 by Loreal $7 any drug store.
I've been loving pinks like this lately! How does the shade compare to Guerlain's Guilette (minus the gold shimmers, obviously)?
you say the lipstick lasts 4-5 hours! how?? every time i wear lipstick all i have left after 2 hours is a stain. do you use a primer?
Dont use a primer on lips the best way to keep lipstick on longer is to wear a light matt foundation on your lips or sometimes i use a concealor. Try it ive been doing it for years.
Do you know where I can purchase this online? I'm not sure if we have D&G Beauty here in Hong Kong...
Lovely, i really need a pink like this! pity on D&G in Ireland! Can you ask if its not too personal, have you ever been to Europe? I would recommend London, Paris, Barcelona and of course Dublin if you haven't been already!
I have never been! :( I have been to China, Mexico, and Canada! That's all for my travels out-of-country. The place I'd *most* like to visit is Italy. Just with school, it's hard to find time to travel - and honestly, with the blog - I could never let myself take 2 weeks off, lol! But someday - maybe when I am done with school and pay off some of that school debt ;)
Yeah definitely! i've been to Naples, Rome, Milan and Florence in Italy. Rome is amazing, loved it. So much to see, i'm a big history fan and a cultural vulture so i loved it. Naples has a reputation for being dirty and dangerous in some areas and to a certain extent this is true, but you do get 'real' Italy with very few tourists. There's very little in Milan to do except shop for really high end stuff but its near the Lake District which is beautiful (George Clooney stays there!). Florence is also beautiful but again so busy and touristy in the summer!
I knew I still had your comment :) Thank you for all the recs/tips! Ahhh, really makes me want to go now, though!
Dream big, Christine! You could log in remotely as part of a special on-site makeup preview or "how this lipstick looks in Venice!" Equipment can be rented. In exchange for pixs of the sites, there would less of other photos, but it's worth pondering . . .
It's such a pretty colour and looks great on you! But from the swatches I feel the lipstick, when worn, goes patchy on the lips?
