The Scarlet Season: Guerlain Giovanna Rouge G Lipstick
Guerlain Giovanna Rouge G Lipstick ($45.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a sensational limited edition shade of coppery ruby red, which was launched as part of Guerlain’s Fall 2009 Collection (so it may still be available in-store). It’s got the smooth, silky feel of Rouge G lipsticks with a punch of pigment and the subtle, sparkling coppery shimmer that really just makes this red glow. This is definitely one of my favorite shades of Rouge G that I’ve tried out, and I wish it was part of the permanent line-up! The Rouge G line isn’t for everyone, since it is a particularly pricey lipstick, but the formula is divine (though you do pay a good bit for the packaging) and worth the splurge for the lipstick fiend.

This is a deeper red, less of a glossy finish, and it has a copper sparkle to it!

This is absolutely gorgeous! Do you know if mac makes a color similar to this? Or if anyone makes a color similar to this.. that isn't 45 dollars a pop?
Hmm, I don't think so, not in their permanent line up. Port Red or Queen's Sin were kind of similar but both were LE! I haven't yet found a dupe, but will keep you posted.
Guerlain has some seriously beautiful lipstick colours, but I dont think I will ever have the nerves to shell out almost 50$ CAD or over for a lipstick; I do like their eyeshadow palettes though and I find that they are a better buy. I really like some of the pinks from Guerlain you have shown.
I can totally understand that, Amy! They're expensive. You may like their KissKiss Lipstick line - which is less painful at around $30 a pop.
This kind of looks like MACs Amorous in lipstick form with much better coverage. This is gorgeous. The bad news for me is it looks like it might be better suited to warm-toned ladies. What do you think? I would love to see this in a full-face shot.
Kind of - I'd say there's a bit more orange to it :) I don't think it's so warm that it wouldn't work on cooler tones. I'm not sure if a full face shot would help, since I am warm toned!

This is my favorite lipstick right now, it's so beautiful, a perfect coppered red. Of course, Rouge G are my all time fave lippies anyway !
