Sephora’s Friends & Family Sale 2008 Begins!

I just made my big purchase. I ended up getting several different items than I’d planned on.

And, I got a FULL SIZE Benefit lipstick for going over $100 in my beauty bank as an “insider,” which is fab!! Since it was a pinkish color, I dropped the NARS lip laquer, because frankly, I have lots of pinky/raspberry lip stuff all ready. . . I’ll just have to get it another time–along with the many other things I really wanted!!!

As a beauty insider, I got an email invitation for the IN-STORE 20%off, so I’ll be making my discount purchases this Saturday morning, yay!!!
I much rather shop in person so I can verify how they look on me. I’m trying to get more into skincare since I have more make up than I know what to do with, but it’s such a gamble since most products break me out. =(
Lipsticks and lipliners are on the top of my list, I have mostly glosses and the lipsticks are freebies from clinique gwp sets, so I need colors I will actually wear.
I’m planning on getting some scrub/exfoliator and Dermadoctor’s “Aint Misbehavin Skin Clarifying & Mattifying Sunscreen SPF 30″ it sounds like it’s made just for me, so hopefully my skin will agree and we’ll live blemish, oil and uv ray-free happily ever after =)
Maybe Tarte’s big ol’ palette, their eyeshadows are freaking awesome.

I got the in-store thing too!! Unfortunately I’m not going to be around this weekend so I made purchases online and took a chance. You can return in-store within 60 days so I feel comfy about it. Here’s what I got:

By the way - if you sign up on ebates.com (it’s free) and click to Sephora through their website, you get an 8% rebate on your total purchase. I use ebates all the time, and every 3 months you literally get a check in the mail with all your rebates lumped together for that quarter. It won’t show up on your Sephora purchase, but it will show up in ebates account. So actually I got 28% off…totally excited.

I want to get the MUFE palette. Still debating. :)

I received part of my order yesterday and I know this sounds…..petty…..but I didn’t get any of the samples I chose! I received things like men’s shaving balm and some random eye cream! I shouldn’t be disappointed since they were free but I do feel somewhat…cheated?!
