Quick Neutrals with Urban Decay’s Naked Palette

This is a really quick and dirty look I did a couple of weeks ago before an early 8 am class.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Sin eyeshadow on the lid. Next, apply Darkhorse eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending onto the outer lid.  Blend Virgin eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Whiskey liner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Sugarbomb blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Violetta lipstick first, and then layer Revenge is Sweet lipglass for a complementing lip.

  27. Anitacska says:

Love the lips! I need to dig out my Violetta l/s and use it! Still undecided about the Naked palette though, I’ve not had a chance to see it in person, but will probably not get it since I have most shades already and I’m not a neutral kinda gal. :)

  28. Sara says:

you wore something THAT bright on your lips for a class?!
wow you have some serious guts =)

  29. Trisha says:

Nice! This is exactly the kind of look that should come from this palette. I like how smoky it looks from far away.

  30. SiaM says:

Lips look so 3D! I love your face/ closeup pictures, everything looks stunning together :)

  31. amy says:

Violetta is very pretty and I have to pick it up someday. I love the neutral eyes and bright lips, easy as pie for school and when I don’t have too much time for makeup.

  32. Angie says:

Christine! The bright lips are perfect to complement the neutral eyes. I love this!

  33. Sarah says:

this looks great on you! love the pink lips :)
also, which brush is closest/next best thing to the 226?

  34. Mia says:

I’m not inclined to wear bold colors but this lip looks totally wearable with the neutral eye – beautiful Christine :)

  35. Laura says:

This is exactly what I needed this morning! I ended up going with Sin on the lid, Naked and Buck in the crease and Virgin as a highlight, Whiskey to line with MAC Velvetella lip liner and Kittenish lipstick from Fabulous Felines :)

  36. Stephanie says:

Looks sooo pretty!!! Great look for you! Your eyebrows are to die for. Thanks for sharing!!!

  37. Astasia says:

You look beautiful!!! But the eyeshadow of the naked palette seems very sheer, isn’t it?
I’d expext a more “marked” look in natural style…
Is it a good item to buy? ^_^

  38. Mai says:

this by far is my favorite look. you look so pretty :)

  39. Janet says:

Very pretty! I will have to give this look a try.

  40. Jennifae says:

  41. lily says:

love it! love everything about it!

  42. Amal says:

Way to go for bold lips early morning! The color reminded me of electric fuchsia lip gloss which I totally love.

  43. Tori says:

I LOVE THIS!!! The eyes are so subtle and pretty. AND omgeee! The lips are gorgeous!!

  44. Leann says:

I love it! Can’t wait to get my hands on that palette and try that look out for myself. You’re so pretty =)

  45. Dini says:

Looks beautiful. Amazing! I’ve been looking for a way to wear Violetta without scaring people, and this look is great inspiration. Love it. I’m putting this palette and lipstick on my to-wear list for the week!

  46. Vijaya says:

Gorgeous. I especially love the look-at-me lips.

    You go girl! =P

  47. Judy says:

I love this look on you Christine! (: It makes me have second thoughts about getting the naked palette….

  48. Julie says:

Very pretty look. Love the lips.

I’ve been wanting to try the MUFE HD foundation.
Do you find yourself liking it more now?
I’ve noticed you use it in alot of your looks.

    • Christine says:

      Thanks, Julie!

I’m actually just trying to get through the bottle before it goes bad!

      • Katie says:

I was going to ask the same, Christine. I want to try the MUFE HD, too, but I want to ask for your opinion: My face is lighter than my neck. I always matched my foundation to my face to make it even, but now I learn that you should match it to your neck…? What do you think?

Also, I love all these Naked Palette looks! I just tried that Gunmetal/Half-Baked last night, and it turned out gorgeous! Please do more. :)

        • Christine says:

Well, the idea is that you don’t want to look like you’re wearing foundation, so you don’t want that “mask.” It really depends on how different your face/neck are from each other; if it’s not a major difference, just make sure to take the foundation past your jaw and under your jaw a bit so it blends out well.

  49. sofia says:

i love this look!u always look so good with nutral eyes and bright lips! every look i see from u is real inspiration:-)

  50. Mamavalveeta03 says:

I think the colors are GORGEOUS on you! I love that palette, but probably wouldn’t go with that much shimmer for myself at my age. But I would’ve rocked it with those lips if I looked like you!!!

  51. Keke says:

I have an early class tomorrow, I may borrow this from you :)

  52. Ann says:

Wow! Hot Mama! Love the lip color. That is fantastic on you!

  53. abby says:

Very beautiful as always Christine! What eyeshadow from MAC would be the closest to the colour you are wearing on the lid? such a beautiful colour. Oh no i know for sure i am getting violetta after seeing this look lol

  54. Rosie says:

I love how you accentuated the lips in this look. I’ve been using my Naked Palette more often and have been going with a bronzy shade for lips or more natural but you inspired me to bold up my lips today!

  55. Luisafer says:

Lovely look!!! you look awesome!!! great way to use the UD palette

  56. I have the Naked palette and have yet to even open it,lol. Love the Violetta! It’s on my VV list!

  59. Becca says:

That’s crazy! I used the same eyeshadow combination last night when I went out – Sin, virgin, and darkhorse!!

  60. Donica Taylor says:

I did a very similar look today except I used Smog instead of Darkhorse, BE’s So Fab for blush, and a random dark berry lip gloss. You know what they say about great minds and all?

  61. Mani says:

gorgeous! i love the twist you have give it!!

  62. Gia says:

    I love this look.

  64. asha says:

nice lips christine.. and the last pic whr to look down is cool :)
I have one more thing to tell you, i applied my nail polish in ur style kinda leaving the cuticles it looked better than the full nail thing.. last time you suggested me about the blush but i forgot which post was it, is there a way to search all my comments i left in you site other than the notify option below?

  65. I just got this palette and cant wait to do this look!
