Prom 2008: Light Peach and Gold Dresses & Makeup
Friday, April 11th, 2008

What makes this dress so fabulous is that you can wear it for multiple occasions–it’s dressy and semi-formal, but it’s not so over the top that you could only label it “prom.” I would totally rock this on date night and depending on the fabric, maybe the day, too. With this particular dress in its peachy-gold shade, I think makeup can be kept quite simple, focusing on playing up natural features through careful foundation application, contouring, etc. You can easily pair this with a bold red or berry lip, but you could do a warm coral, as well. Because it is a light color, there are limitless opportunities for looks. For eyes, I think it is key to go for a light gold (peachy-gold, even) like shades of Goldmine, Motif, Rose Blanc, etc. A cat eye would work well in this, especially if one were to go for matte or semi-matte red lips.
Check out suggested looks: one, two, & three. Dress is available at Nordstrom.com for $78.00 (um, steal!).
Super adorable prom dress. Love the peach color, its not very flashy but has flair. I wanted the white one on this page http://www.womens-dresses.net/prom/short.php

hi!! I noticed you didn't you didn't have any looks for pink prom dresses :( I have a bright pink! borderline fuschia dresss with a little iridescent beading and I'm completely lost as to what makeup to pair it with with... any suggestions?!
Hi Natalie, If it's bright, I'd probably opt for either a neutral eye and do a pop of pink on the lips/cheeks, OR go ultra glam with a dark smoky eye!
I love this dress, it looks totally wearable. I loke look #2 too...Can we see what you wore for your actual prom?
